It's totally wrong teaching. Ending a is always sounds schwa .means schwa sound

It's not wrong...the ending 'a' never gives the short sound of ă... Moreover, a common person doesn't know about schwa sound, which is anyways difficult even for everyone to understand the schwa sound.
