Centurion - Defender of Rome (1991) Amiga version

The Amiga version running in WinUAE v.2.4.1
The PC version looked slightly better having 256 colors, but the sound was so much better on Amiga.

Great game back in the day. I remember it saud either "Glorious Victory" or "Ignominious Defeat" depending whether you won or lost a battle.

I remember seeing the roman amphitheater from centurion on the TV in my friend house, and I couldn't believe how realistic the picture was. In my eyes as a kid it was truly HD best graphics ever

Thanks for sharing this, I loved this game it was like a predecessor in some ways to Rome Total war.
The funny thing is that a centurion is a roman rank within a legion and he commands a century meaning 100 men and he does not lead the legion but is actually more like a captain within it.

It was indeed Rome: Total War of its days. TW has pretty much just copied and upgraded the concept. I don't mind though, R:TW was great.

das kenne ich kannte ich nicht und sehe ich jetzt zum ersten Mal und das sieht sehr komplex aus wenn ich das jetzt mit dem Amiga Vergleiche kann ich mir durchaus vorstellen dass das ebenfalls ein richtiger Kassenschlager gewesen ist kann aber sein dass es das in Deutschland nicht so oft gegeben hat darf er viele Titel die gar nicht in Europa vertrieben wurden !
