I been telling people it was a mix of trying to fit into a new team that doesn’t really operate with a game plan after playing with a team that’s had 1 system his entire career.
Some people forget this guy is a family man, moving countries for any parent is stressful as hell. I know he's not the only one that is a father but he's 35 and never did that before with his family. I knew the first 6 months at least would be a bit rough.
I'm pretty sure if he was single with no kids it would have been a more seamless transition. Being a dad takes a toll
You forgot to mention he was injured twice orso last season as well and was out for 3 weeks at a time and another spell. This year he's also had mini injuries I fear his body is catching up to him from years and years of abuse as a footballer especially the abuse he gets from competitors.
