My daughter was in public charter school in kindergarten and was read books to her about same sex marriage and gender confusion. Found out about it before the next year started. Prayed about it and God guided me into homeschooling. Pulled both of my kids out of school a week before it started. I was so upset with what they are teaching our kids. We as parents have to be our children’s advocates and have to sacrifice for their well being.
We should both keep in mind that we should value academic excellence as well. While I strongly agree with your decision for homeschooling, we should also not try to shelter but instead educate them on how to deal with these issues from a biblical lense.
Good for you. You will have to deal with these topics, but at least you'll be able to appropriately guide your child to understand when the time is right.
How do you accomplish this? Simple living has become so expensive these days, and it's bound to get worse in the near future. Many families are forced to adopt a dual-income financial structure to support the average lifestyle for 3 or more people, leaving nobody home to teach or raise the child. Many people are now deeply worried about their relationships with their children since they can lo longer fulfill their role as guardians and teachers. What was your strategy for homeschooling?
@@BlueEyesWhiteBubbleDragon I don't want to speak on behalf of the original poster, but I've been homeschooling (two kids) for several years now, so I'll at least chime in. I'm from a dual-earner home, but my position is remote and flexible, so I totally understand that few people have this luxury. Still, it might help you to know that when you cut out all of the fluff (passing periods, lunch, etc.) you really can effectively homeschool a kid with just 1.5-2 hours a day, referring to direct effort on your part. This is assuming that they can have some enrichment time (running around, socializing, etc.) outside of your lesson time. And I'm not talking about letting them zone out on the tablet. I try to be as engaged as possible - literally going to the drawing board with them in between their virtual lessons, discussing and drawing things, using toys/props as models, doing fun activities/outings, arts and crafts time, and so forth. But even if you have the time/energy to spare 2 hours of quality time before or after work, you obviously need a reliable source of childcare while you're at work if they aren't going to school. This is the main trick, and everybody's situation is different. I think the best bet is to have part-time care, throw in a day or two with family or friends if that's available to you, seek out local homeschool co-ops you can trust, and so on. As long as your kids are in a stable environment in terms of being unconditionally supported and loved, I'm of the mind that there is nothing wrong with throwing some variety in throughout the week in terms of who's watching them. I know it's really daunting, but if you can swing it, I can't tell you how fulfilling and enriching it is. Not just to avoid some of the toxic messaging out there, but also the blessing of teaching your kids about love, respect, adventure, and all the good stuff outside of straight-up lessons is *so* rewarding. God bless and good luck. It's hard, but it really is worth it.
My wife has been homeschooling our kids since 2013, convicted by scripture in Deuteronomy 6:7, Psalm 1, and Luke 6:40 as well as many other places. How am I to teach scripture to my children when they are away from the house in public school for 40hrs a week. Voddie Baucham also had a pretty convicting quote from a sermon years ago, "If we continue to send our children to Caesar for education, we need to stop being surprised when they come back as romans."
Yes! I love Voddie Bachmann sermon on schooling. Our schools have been paid off, at least the main school board has. They are purposely trying to confuse children, and turn them away from God, and their parents! It is sinful. AND OUR TAXES ARE PAYING FOR IT! And George Sorros! Sorros organized a meeting in 2015, at Mandarin Hotel, of millionaires and billionaires. He was successful at getting yearly donations for, far left non profits (like planned Parenthood) governor, senator, congressional races. And for the 2020 Repub candidate to be destroyed! Well, that candidate was Trump. And we can see how they have gone after him, since he walked down the golden escalator! Our country is being attacked on every front, from schools, to institutions, to elections, anyway these corrupt democrats aka- MARXIST, (and a few RINOS) can HURT OUR COUNTRY, THEY ARE. THEY HAVE EVEN WEAPONIZED DOJ, CIA, AND FBI. WHICH IS ONE REASON REPUBS ARE HAVING TROUBLE GETTING THINGS DONE! God help us, in America. Have mercy Father God! I pray your spirit will be poured out, in the lives of millions, and that AMERICA can remain a free country. I pray that God fearing men will be put in our government. And the criminal ones will go rightly to prison!
Homeschooling doesn’t mean the parents are the only ones ever teaching the children. There are co ops & online classes that many homeschoolers utilize. The point is that the parents are overseeing their child’s education and making curriculum choices.
Amen, when I homeschooled my kids we sent them to art classes, self defense classes, they were certified in Microsoft software and took them on several field trips.
We started with a video series. After a year, we decided we really didn't need the videos to learn, though I wish our own included some kind of co-op if even just for more social encounters. And that is my advice for any parents looking to home school: it is usually better than public by a great margin, but don't neglect social growth for only scholarly growth.
It’s crazy how the lipstick wearing man doesn’t see how ironic it is. He’s against school choice because parents are opting their kids out of his classroom. You want to FORCE parents to send their kids to you? They always tell on themselves smh
If I went to meet their teacher before the first day of school and saw him I would request a new teacher ASAP. I know most parents feel that way but most are too scared to say anything.
And he is conflating discriminating against choice is the same as discriminating against immutable characteristics. I would pull a kid out of the classroom with a man wearing makeup for the same reason as a man with tattoos on his face. I don't trust the character or values of that person based on his choices.
@@Melanie-yepexactly! but they want to make the world believe it as a born characteristic not a choice “I was born this way” I honestly think they themselves are deceived into really believing that
I know we're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but everyone acted exactly how I would expect them to act. You can't always judge a book by its cover, but I've never accidentally picked up a romance novel looking for a field guide to birds.
Exactly. Discrimination is actually a word that got hijacked by the left and turned into a negative thing. But discrimination is really applying discernment.@@marveluniverse2117
@@marveluniverse2117There's a difference between discrimination/prejudice and discernment. The former is unjustified And based on nothing but feelings. The latter is what Christians are told to do: *Take into account all the information available to you and do the best You can to make the right choice* .
my high school chemistry/ astronomy teacher was a Christian and one thing that I remember was when he would teach us astronomy. He would teach us the accepted theories, then he would also take the time to teach us different theories. I wasn’t saved, or even a believed in god but I always found the other theories interesting. Honestly wish I could find him so I could get a refresher.
At the very least, it's beneficial to have an accurate understanding of what other people in your society believe. As it stands, a huge part of the country only have a cartoonish perception of their opponents' worldviews, or even no perception at all.
The makeup thing with that one teacher is actually an is-ought issue ("I thought boys couldn't wear makeup" is an ought thing, not a capability thing) and for that teacher to treat boys and girls wearing makeup as interchangeable is actually teaching them an ethic that is contrary to many parents' views
I am a teacher and no one is pushing kids against their own family members. I have had lgbt students in my classroom and they aren’t trying to push any agenda on me and I am not pushing any agenda on them. If they ask to be addressed by their preferred pronouns I do it, and you know what they are happy in the classroom.
@@symbiotesam3562Why is it that the LGBT teachers always go for teaching children? They rarely want to specialize in a subject and teach higher grades bc they know there's no place for that nonsense in algebra, chemistry, or ancient history. They know if they teach elementary school then the door is open.
@@MBS_Drew I teach world history and I don’t teach anything related to LGBT issues. But that doesn’t mean I don’t create a welcoming environment for students of all races, gender, and sexual orientations. Modeling acceptance is not the same as indoctrination.
@@symbiotesam3562This isn't about you. I'm speaking about what's going on for the most part. What teacher isn't welcoming to students who are wrapped up in the LGBT nonsense? Teachers have pride flags littered all over their classrooms. Some have Pride walks throughout the whole school. Are you saying you haven't seen this indoctrination?
@@MBS_Drew I have never seen a pride walkthrough in my school. There are several teachers in my school who are LGBT, and have a flag in their room, but what is so harmful about having a pride flag on display in the room?
Great video once again, Nate! I really dislike how disingenuous the liberal teachers were in this, especially that they never really said what they meant by "let's collaborate" and "let's introduce these other perspectives to these kids so that they can decide for themselves". Let me tell you my perspective: I thank God that my parents disciplined me throughout my entire grade school experience (K-12 all public schools), and taught me how to think for myself through a biblical lens. If I was allowed to "decide for myself" and conform to what the classroom is dictating like what these teachers are advocating for, my goodness what a disaster that would have been, as you can see from this two-part story of mine: I remember my FIRST DAY of high school, in English class, we all sat in a circle and had to say what we thought about LGBT issues/rights (this was in 2015 I believe, so near the start of the mainstream monstrosity that we have now. Not to mention, what a horribly inappropriate question to ask 9th graders), and the teacher prefaced the question by saying "This is a safe space, everyone's opinion is valued here." When it came to my turn, I said "Well, I'm Christian, and so I can't say that I support it, since it's against what I believe God said." Needless to say, the trans kid in the class started yelling at me, and the teacher instead of telling the trans kid to stop yelling at me, told me that "That's a harmful belief because you're dehumanizing others, especially _____". Oh, so everyone's opinion is valued here, as long as they agree with you? Got it. The same year we ended up doing a book study of "Luna" which is about a trans high schooler whose parents doesn't accept them for who they say they are. So yeah you can imagine what a cesspool of a class it was that year. Fast forward to my senior year of high school, which I was fortunate enough to be enrolled in full-time PSEO at a nearby Christian university (PSEO - post secondary enrollment option - I basically had a free year of college, and pretty much never went to my high school until I graduated since I was a full time student at the university). The one time during that school year that I went back to my high school, I bumped into that same English teacher from my freshman year. The exchange went like this: "Oh hi Ms. ______ it's great to see you!" "Hey ____ good to see you too! I heard you're doing PSEO right now, that's great! Where at?" I told her the name of my university, to which her face turned sour and she said "Oh, they don't like gay people, don't they." I said "Well, it's a Christian institution. Nice talking to you Ms. ______, see ya" and walked off. I know this could sound like some fabricated story an internet troll concocted up to prove some moot point, but it's the honest to God truth. From what I've heard, my former high school is going down the drain with its efforts to push "inclusivity and diversity". All I know is Jesus is inclusive enough for me, and I can't wait for Him to come back.
i wouldn't have let that teacher get away w/ saying that Christian schools "don't like gay people!" there's a a very clear distinction between not liking a person and disagreeing w/ their life decisions. that said, i'm so glad you didn't have to waste the rest of your high school time in one of these Leftwing indoctrination factories!
I am sorry to hear about your experience. Honestly, I pulled my older kid out of school just before High School so that she would have the opportunity to express herself through her biblical upbringing without being bashed this way.
I was an early adopter of home school . I joined and organized effort to make homeschool legal in Texas. We sued and won . Children are born to parents not the state . I could see this happening 40 years ago .
Had a back and forth with someone last week in comments, they told me I had made up the 20% queer stat. They told me there was a trans genocide happening and when I recommended they take a look at the numbers, they refused me. However, I think they did just that because after two days of back and forth, they stopped responding. Gotta pray for these kids.
I don't recall my female teachers wearing makeup in the classroom when I was in school. There's literally no reason to do that. The classroom isn't for teachers to "have fun" and express themselves (or God forbid attract sexual attention, which is what makeup is actually for), it's to educate children. And it's a little weird he's complaining about his class size shrinking to 19 when all I've heard from teachers for decades is that there are too many kids in each class to do their jobs effectively. He should be happy that he has a smaller group to work with if he's actually interested in educating them, but apparently his personal hurt feelings are of greater priority. It's stuff like that that demonstrates why he shouldn't be teaching. It's not just about the makeup. The makeup is a symptom of a deeper character issue. So no, if I had kids I wouldn't want someone like that educating them, makeup or not.
Some of your teachers almost certainly wore some form makeup, and you just didn't notice it. And makeup is not inherently sexual, that's a very weird thing to say.
@@micahanglen4331 Maybe some did, but that's why I started with "I don't recall". Makeup is not "inherently" sexual, but it depends on what kind of makeup we're talking about. Clown makeup? Obviously not. Lipstick and rouge? Yes, it is. It's specifically designed to imitate the natural effects of blood flushing the lips and cheeks as when one is in a state of arousal. I'm not "weird" to point out that fact. You are weird for thinking it's weird.
Discrimination on values and discrimination on someone’s skin tone are not the same. It’s odd to be an educator and still carry around that rhetoric. Neutrality just isn’t possible when you have values you use to make everyday decisions: Going to church with the same values, having close companions with the same values, investing into something that shares your values. So approaching education will involve values and you just can’t tackle it with a neutral standing.
Might be but that is the goal. Teachers are to be neutral in their political views and since most things these days end up being political, that goes for for sexual ones too.
@TexasGrandma2010 the goal is to be neutral? Since when? Our worldview and culture is based off of our moral principles which are hierarchically placed above those that stand in opposition to ours. We are supposed to propogate our stances, which we believe to be superior to those of others, which is the entire essence of culture and morality. Teachers should not without a stance when comparing things that carry real and direct lasting impact on our children. They should be upright and reflect good character, not promoting the most liberalization as possible. Removing all societally placed constraints IS a political view.
@@Debt-tective not when you are suppose to be teaching them how to do critical thinking. Best teachers are the ones that you have no idea where they stand. They teach looking at both sides of issues and finding the flaws in both. We no longer have that in way too many colleges, universities and public schools. We have indoctrination and silencing those who won't go along with what is happening across this country.
@@Debt-tective the since when part, is since the beginning of public education. I never knew where any of my teachers stood on any issues. Some I didn't even know if they were married, divorced, single or had children or what religion or political party they were. That is neutral.
From K-6, it should be exclusively 1. Math. 2. English comprehension. Reading/writing/grammar. 3. History. 4. Science 5. Creative learning. Art/music/whatever. From 7-12 More advanced of the first 4, but add in 6. Home life basics. Cooking, sewing/knitting, doing taxes. 7. Shop class. Woods/car mechanics basics. Anything else that's not included can be listed as electives.
Anything that’s not core which is those first four should be an elective. I absolutely loathed anything dealing with art and physical education as mandatory.
I went to excellent public schools. Many if not most of my teachers came from Christian backgrounds, Jewish Backgrounds (Pittsburgh) and then there’s the “nominally” Roman Catholic backgrounds. Good covering of Gods grace and providence all around me.
The original video for this came up on my feed several times but I couldn't bring myself to watch it because I didn't want to get angry. Thank you for presenting it in a way that gave me natural pauses so that I could actually make it through. 🙏🏼
Shalom, Nate! This was awesome. Really inspired video for something Christians need right now. Deserves to be spread far and wide! God bless. Prayers for our society.
As a new father, I'm definitely leaning towards home school with my son once he reaches that age and my wife is willing to shoulder that responsibility assuming we can afford for her not to work, which is the goal. I live in a pretty conservative area and so I could reasonably assume the teachers would share the same values, but as long as the federal government is involved, I'm not taking that risk with my child
Do it. Not just to avoid government interference in the raising of your children, but also for the overall wellbeing of your family. Even if it means having to reduce spending so that your wife can stay home, you as a husband will be empowered by the fact that you are providing for your family, it is an incredibly motivating thing. Your wife will be less tired and stressed when she only has one job to focus on, its hard for us to work and then still care for our household. It is a huge blessing for you to give her and your children that. Just be sure to give her some down time to recharge on weekends by participating in a hobby or socializing with friends so that she also has some me time.
Definitely NO to public school. When the Sniffer-in-Chief's administration wanted to force schools to allow perverts into girls-only spaces, they threatened to pull the Lunch Program funding from any non-compliant school district. Since few school districts (whether in a conservative or liberal area) can afford to provide lunch without federal funding, schools were forced to decide: either poor kids starved, or girls were threatened by perverts. Doesn't matter how great the teachers & staff are, the govt pulls the strings anywhere it can.
As a public-school teacher, I agree with the man who says that there are certain conversations public school teachers should not have. However, if my students ask me if I went to church Sunday....I will answer truthfully. If they tell me that they pray and ask me if I do...I am going to answer honestly. Amen.
Thanks for your videos Nate. They are so enlightening. We are very fortunate in South Africa to have Afrikaans public schools who have strong christian values. I was saved after high school but the there were many teachers who sowed the seeds of the gospel.
While watching this I also thought to myself, it’s great that we have what we have in South Africa, we are lucky to have majority of schools that instil good values and many people who are conservative. Goodness we will not survive in America…
Thank you for bringing these thoughts to light Nate. I would have said the following. We raise our children for 5-6 years at home and should be instilling values and character into our children before they enter the classroom. I did it for mine. They went to public school and didn't pick up ideas or values that were not taught by us. We discussed daily what was going on in school and address concerns .
This was a great video. It's our sole responsibility as Christian parents to educate our children when we cannot we must delegate to those with like values.
If schools stuck to teaching kids proper subjects like Math, Science, English, History, how to do taxes, how to invest, buy a house etc. There would be no discussions about this indoctrination nonsense. Stop teaching kids useless things, teach kids to be functional members of society
Glad I found this channel. You really are wise (as per the channel's name lol), I love how you engage certain topics and highlight the actual 'conflicts'. You make me see the core issues of these different topics. May the Lord continue to grow you in knowledge and wisdom.
The illusion of neutrality is such a game-changer when you really face and understand it. As a homeschooling Christian parent myself, I think the best way we can advance this important conversation is not to pretend that we can educate these kids in an amoral bubble - but to argue in which direction (and at which access points) the indoctrination should occur. There’s a difference between being edgy/combative for superficial reasons and taking a principled stand on your core beliefs. I’ve noticed this vitriol around the word “indoctrination” really ramp up lately. Ironically, indoctrination is only a bad word when you’re referring to your opponent doing it 😂 We are ALL indoctrinated! The question is, what is the substance behind your belief? A solid rock or a little twig blowing in the wind?
@@wesley3300While I'm conceited enough to believe the compliment, I'm (hopefully) self-aware enough to get the joke 😆😆 thanks for the hearty hear hear. But you forgot "harumph" !!
Exactly. I don't even know how a Christian can be neutral about these things - it's like we set God aside and then try to fight by the enemy's rules. He's our only salvation, He is Truth itself and we allow liars to shame us into silence in the name of "love" and "tolerance". Whose love and whose tolerance? Theirs? Who are they? They're not Him, that's for sure. We're not Him either but we're supposed to follow Him, not cast him aside to spare ourselves the trouble of proclaiming His name. Lord have mercy on us.
Teacher: Okay students, we can see that the author is making a statement about God... Johnny: I don't think I've seen enough information to be convinced of God's existence Teacher: That's okay Johnny, you are entitled to your own opinion Teacher: Okay students, we can see that the author is making a statement about transgenderism Johnny: I don't think I've seen enough information to be convinced of the existence of more than two genders Teacher: No Johnny, you can't say that. It's harmful to the trans people in the classroom. If we are going to allow the discussion of different values in culture, we can't hold this double standard which censors particular viewpoints.
Academics should be decided by the school board, values should be decided by parents. That’s the bottom line. It’s their kid they get to decide how that kid is raised and what they’re exposed to.
Love your channel and your testimony brother. Keep up the great work. I heard your testimony on ruslans channel and was taken aback by how similar our story was. Love your style and relatability
I have to agree with Wise Disciple on this. Teachers have complained for decades that parents dont help with educating their children, however when they do all of a sudden the parents are not being heard by the teachers or school board. Also the school board educates the children according to the local business and what will employ the children when the time comes.
44:36 Read Abigail Schrier's book Irreversible Damage on this topic. I don't think she goes far enough with her conclusions, but it will still blow your mind! 50:45 Charter Schools and Their Enemies by Thomas Sowell is a quick and powerful read about charter schools vs public schools when it comes to educational results. Other good reads on education are Battle for the American Mind by Pete Hegseth and America's Cultural Revolution by Christopher Rufo.
Your keying in on the postmodernist vocabulary was very on point. If you hear people going on about perspectives, voices, bodies, etc… or if they frame everything through the memes of hierarchy, power, and/or oppression then you know you’re dealing with one of these.
My son is in public. My husband and I go back and forth on homeschooling. He is getting a solid Christian upbringing here, and we have a good church and life groups so he is getting a great foundation. We are also in one of the school districts that made the news with parents fighting back against wokeness. The school board has become conservatives and so I know district wide our policies are leaning that way. There are many Christians in our school. So for now, we are staying.
Covid was a blessing bc I never would have considered homeschooling before. I was in WA, a very liberal state, who had just passed a law stating sex Ed/gender ideology needed to start in kindergarten. We won’t be going back.
Educational curriculum is an absolute. Science, mathematics, English, even literature to an extent. These subjects instill work ethics, and critical thinking needed to prepare a functioning adult, prepared to enter the world, contribute, and raise the next generation. Philosophy, self exploration, gender identity, etc; have no place in grade school. My oldest 2 went through the public school system. Eldest now college sophomore, middle high school senior. When we were looking at pre-k for our youngest, through much prayer, we couldn’t send her to public due to the curriculum. Teachers (even the Christian educators whom we know personally) are forced to teach things they do not believe in. Through the Spirit we were let to a private school where Christ is center. Prayer and scripture are throughout every lesson. We have been criticized for not homeschooling, likewise for removing her from public school because she should be a shining light for Christ in a pitch black world. My answer, through fervent prayer, we were spirit let to this academy.
My own public school experience was troubling and I graduated in 2006. But I would never send my children to public school in this current environment. Where they are enemies of GOD.
My kids, MY education - since I pay for it! If you want to teach anything to my kids, YOU need MY approval. You don't get to impart your beliefs on MY kids. Get a child of your own if you wish to get authority on a kid! And that's that!!
So if I became a teacher and taught the Bible as fact how many of these people would have a problem with it? Exactly so let’s not push sexual perversion in classrooms.
I truly enjoy watching your videos. You're retraining me on how to articulate my thoughts and how to think for myself, practice critic thinking and be a wise disciple 😉. Thank you for your willingness to post your debate analyses.
Homeschooling is great, but the average American can’t afford that especially if they are income dependent. Pulling your kids out of school is not a solution to the problem. When it was time for our first child to attend school, my wife and I decided to send her to a local Christian school. We didn't have illusions that a Christian school would be perfect, but we did expect, different from government schools, that they would respect the rights and responsibilities, given by God, of the parents. Three months in we realized this was not the case. Our oldest was a very healthy and good eater. She liked veggies, fruit etc. And we would send her to school with these things. But occasionally we'd send her with yogurt, and in the lid of the yogurt was usually some kind of sweet. We, her Father and Mother, knowing our child, knew that such a snack, in light of her diet, and from our experience with her, would not cause her to be distracted or hyper. So, one day, after many many weeks at school, my wife notices that my daughter would come home and that sweets in the lid would not be eaten, or even opened. So she asked our daughter, if she doesn't like the sweets, as we don't have to get them for her. My daughter says she does, but she has a hard time opening it, and her teachers told her she's not allowed to eat them. Well, suffice it to say, we were a bit concerned. So we contacted the school, and they told us they assumed we, the parents, made a mistake by sending our daughter to school with this yogurt. We said, we made no such mistake. We asked has our daughter been a problem, too hyper? We were told no, but they don't permit this. Well, that was the first time we had a concern about the attitude this Christian school had towards parents. Eventually similar things continued to happen where the school undermined our values, and so, with much doubt we pulled our daughter out of school to homeschool her. 11 years later, and 2 more kids, by Gods grace, we have homeschooled our children (though our first goes part time to a different Christian school which explicitly serves the values of the parents). It's been difficult, and quite honestly, most of it has fallen on my wife. But God has been faithful....
I went to a public school for all of my childhood (except 2nd grade, when my parents wanted to experiment with home schooling). I highly value those years, as they introduced me to some of my best friends and helped me establish the strong work ethic that I have now (this was in the late-2000s through the 2010s, before all of this really exploded). But, I cannot deny that they also had a negative impact on my faith, especially near the latter end. As I reflect upon my education and how I want my future children to be educated, I believe there is value in public education, but it all relies on trust between the parent and the educator. I was very blessed to attend a public school where my parents could reasonably trust our faculty, but I know that I will make whatever sacrifices necessary for the sake of my children if I cannot trust the character and curriculum of educators
You hit on the one major complaint I had about my own homeschooling: social interaction/development. Most others I know had some kind of home-link group. My brother and I didn't and though well-educated were lacking in social skills over the 2 years of home school leading into high school. In some irony, social skills are almost more important than education for upward mobility in life.
The problem with you premise is that these activist teachers aren't interested in having an authentic clash. They just want to push their own agenda. They don't want to establish common ground, they want to dictate the terms and rules of the conversation.................
They redefine common terms to mean insane things that most people will hear and think is harmless. The same people who say kids must learn about other points of view in school are the people who will never in a million years teach a kid about conservatism, capitalism, traditional values etc. Or if they do mention any of those things it is spoken of with hostility and hatred.
43:35 the teachers literally prove the parent's point here because as soon as the parent says something that they disagree with they jump on him. He wasn't even rude, he even said "that's an opinion" and the teachers were like "it's not an opinion!!!". Only the things that they agree with are a fact in their eyes and there is no room for other perspectives. Which is why even if they don't realize it they ARE teaching their opinions as facts to the kids they teach. We need teachers in the classroom, not activists.
The Lord blessed me with the opportunity to put my 7yr old into the Baptist Academy at the church we attend. As a single father, of 2 girls, homeschooling isn't a viable option for me, though that would be my preference. I am very excited for the music program my daughter is in, they are teaching her on the violin. I am very excited to have my child out of the grasp of the governments perverted sense of values. But regardless of which system you get your child in, you must be involved as much as possible. Get on the school board. Go to parent teacher meetings. Sit with your child during their homework. Etc.
I used to live in Henderson /Las Vegas. My children were elementary age when they were enrolled in the Clark County school district. I also went to college for criminal justice out there. I moved back to my home state, PA. I have two in high school. One is home schooled, and the other goes to public school.
There should never be any reason for any student to know anything about their teachers personal life that is a professional boundary that should not be crossed. That includes the guy wearing make up. He should not wear it to class. That includes what kind of relationships they’re in, what they have between their legs, what they believe, feel or think. It should about teaching academics and that’s it. It seems everyone has rights except the Christian’s. We can’t ask our children not be exposed to something, but a satanist can request their children not be exposed to religion. You never hear about straight teachers blurring the lines between professional and personal. Only the weird, freaky, teachers blur those lines. I think it is telling about the emotional maturity, stability and professionalism that certain teachers have! Schools should NOT allow male teachers to wear makeup! It’s weird and confusing!
We’re on the same wavelength with you 😂 cause whenever you say loud: What ? I do the same exact thing 😂😂😂 ( or any other comments)… So happy that I came across with your channel !.. Thank you 🙏🏻🤗😉✊
This is the first time I have disagreed with you, wise disciple! IT IS NOT THE SCHOOLS JOB TO TEACH MY CHILDREN CHARACTER! That is the parents job, to be done at home, and church. In school, all children need to be taught is reading, writing, arithmetic, science, civcs(sorely missing now a days) history, home economics & , Physical education! PERIOD!
Define character? Working hard and determination are character traits do you not want you school to teach your children to work hard? What about honestly do you value that in your children? or do you want a school to teach children that it doesn't matter if you lie and cheat as they don't take that seriously. It's impossible to education without values and develop character. Developing character is part of the educational process you can't remove it. Even simple things how does the school handle students who are late. They are teaching the children about what being late means, either it's ok or it not.
How could one compare the idea of wearing make up to school and being a black/Brown educator? Ultimately you wake up and put on make up. A black or brown educator cannot takeoff their skin color. So if a parent walks in and sees the teacher and goes, your skin color is way too dark for my child to learn from you, and they pull their student, it is not the same as a teacher wearing make up, a parent seeing that make up and going, I don’t think you should be teaching my kid. Choosing to wear make up that day and wearing darker skin are two totally different things. They are not the same. ✝️
Yes I believe there is NO unbiased teaching so as parents we need to do our research and choose educators who share our values. Like Nate was saying. My kids go to public school at the moment but we live in a more conservative area and I’ve been involved in picking their teachers and seeing what kind of person or values they espouse. I also try to talk to my kids about current issues and what we believe as Christians. I simply would not choose a lipstick wearing man as a teacher bc I know he doesn’t share the same core values. If that was the only choice presented to me then I would send my child to a different school or private school or quit my job and home school. I don’t believe that all public school and educators are bad but it really depends on your community and you need to be actively involved.
Nate, do an analysis of Jeff Durbin and Dr Michael Brown. Jeff recently released a video essentially attempting to debunk dispensationalism (or at least a form of it) and Dr Brown responded to it. I’d love to hear your take on that exchange!
The devil is delighted with the trends in public education: not only has God been removed from daily acknowledgement, but sexual identity issues are permitted, adding sin!
My biggest problem with Desmond saying that "gay parents raise children exceptionally, they only adopt when they're financially secure..." Children are not an adventure one chooses to go on! Children are a divine responsibility given to parents WHEN GOD CHOOSES! To imply that it is irresponsible to have kids without first having money is spitting in the faces of all the parents that were surprised by a baby or the parents that tried to no avail to have a baby. It's not buying a puppy! God adds fuel to the fire of our lives in order to continue refining us in His furnace! Every time we graduate to another stage (i.e. Adulthood, Marriage, Parenthood, etc) we are met with new challenges and opportunities to learn more about our relationship with Him! I'm so sick of people today treating children as if they're "some fun adventure to buy" when God is the one who gives life. I'm all for adoption, but we put far too much emphasis on the financial success of parents rather than the ideological values that they'll pass on to them!
Also his implication that to be a good parent you need money, which just isn't true and is actually highly insulting to most working class families. Also the implication is that it's a good thing for children to be bought by wealthy gay couples who can afford to pay for surrogates. As well but the kids will grow up rich so it better than having their actual mother.
Im 18 and I really want to become a mom in the future. I am kinda new to being a christian and am socially awkward, so I am already terrified for myself as a born again in Christ. I try to fight it and ask God for courage and strenght to announce the coming kingdom, but... It is a strange feeling. Like Im willing to die for it while being in terror with the thought of being "cancelled" ( couldn't find a better word for it). While I want to be a mom, I cannot help but despise the idea of my future children having to deal with a much much difficult society than the one Im already living in. Does anybody feel the same?
Every girl I know who identified as Trans was molested at some point and thinks being a man will make it so it will never happen again. A Christian therapist that doesn't push the Trans religion cured them all.
Your comment heavily relies on anecdote and lacks valid evidence. What’s your evidence that every girl you know that identified as transgender was molested at some point and thinks being a man would prevent future molestation? What’s your evidence that this mysterious, nameless Christian therapist “cured them all”? What do you mean by “cured them all”? What do you mean by “Trans religion”?
New Sub... Loved this video and even more so your Commentary on it! A huge part of school budgets are going to Social Emotional Equity Curriculums with 90% kids graduating at a 3rd grade or lower reading/math level!!
I am 32 years old. When I was 13 I had a teacher that was 'l' in the lgbt.... I found this out, NOT from her mouth but because we saw her at a shop.... where was no question from us. It has nothing to do with the children! The only reason I knew my other teacher got married is because her surname changed. Their home live had NOTHING to do with me... teach them the subject and leave them alone...
When I was in school back in the 80s in Germany, we had science classes that were only about science with no other ideology in it: physics was about how the physic world works, how the universe started and the solarsystem and the earth came up, biology was about how biological things work and the topic sexuality was informative including heterosexuality and homosexuality, etc. We had also religion as a separate class were everybody could inform himself about his or other peoples religious belief. The only ideology we had on top of all of this was to learn how to think critical about all that wide knowledge teached. When Christians think they have a mission here we sure about this: mulsims think the same about them, buddhists think the same about them, chinese communists think the same about them, atheists think the same about them, etc. School isnt a battlefield of ideologies its a place of knowledge.
Okay, I'm getting a little sick of people suggesting "trans" kids are offing themselves because they're not being affirmed. The Trans identity is one that is relatively new and up to this point less than 1% of the population are diagnosed with gender dysphoria, which is the psychological diagnosis that is associated with that identity... Here's the part where the suggestion these kids are offing themselves is dishonest, because the size of this group is so small relative to the population you aren't going to find a lot of "older generation Trans people" especially because to be Trans is to blend in, that is their entire goal. Sorry for the tangent.
cool to see ppl talking and not yelling or shutting each other down immediately. Everytime i see these videos one side is screaming and blocking the voice of the other.
Nate , you are right on point when you say it’s about values. I never allowed any teacher near my children unless they agreed with my values. My children are grown now, but I never allowed my children around adults who drank excessively, used drugs or had questionable morals so why should parents have to allow it in schools.
I homeschooled my 4 children back in the 90's / early 2000's because of bullying and teachers sitting back in the classroom checking their stocks or reading a book rather than teaching. Now, it's a whole new ballgame!
Desmond I would take my son out of your classes too!!! Youth is already confusing enough without you pushing your philosophies by cross-dressing in class!
I'm glad I found your Channel is you're helping me being able to discuss this stuff and to know how to debate this stuff God bless you for what you're doing
Teachers in my public highschool were only teaching us, well , the subjects..The only classes where we shared opinions were literature, history, sociology, philosohpy, where that should be encouraged imo. Ofc our other teachers would comment on smth if we asked them to but they always cut it short and say "okay I don't wanna waste time on this, my job is to teach you about this subject so let's get to work."
I was homeschooled, accept for grade 12 I went to school every second day, I took Holocaust, wood shop, and metal shop classes. Come second semester I only had shop classes, every other class was done. I'm was so fun. But I am so thankful I only did grade 12 at public school. As for meeting people, I did swim lessons, cadets, scuba diving, church youth groups, there were home school groups that would meet and do science experiments.
What topic are you paid to teach? That is what you should teach nothing more nothing less!
My wife and I are reading Family Driven Faith by Voddie and are planning to homeschool our children for the same reasons.
I hope not cause that would mean they are one of the smartest people in the world
@Demonicgamer666
Doesn’t require the smartest person on earth to educate a child.
Most educators are average intelligence
It’s crazy how the lipstick wearing man doesn’t see how ironic it is. He’s against school choice because parents are opting their kids out of his classroom. You want to FORCE parents to send their kids to you? They always tell on themselves smh
If I went to meet their teacher before the first day of school and saw him I would request a new teacher ASAP. I know most parents feel that way but most are too scared to say anything.
@@Tool0GT92 I agree with you. More of us like minded parents need to come forward and speak up for truth.
I dont want demons teaching any kids
So true.... I was thinking the same thing
Why do people think discrimination is such a bad thing. I think there's rational and irrational discrimination which should be normal
The older I grow, the truer this is
Reach out!
Yes. Can is mere capability. Should or ought is ethics.
We are capable of a great many things _we ought not to do._
Basically, at this point, it all about seeing how far they can push kids against their own family members.
As a Christian student, if I ever have a family, I will only send them to Christian schools or I will teach them at home myself
VERY wise decision 🤟🙏 whatever you need to sacrifice in order to do this, it's WORTH IT. I promise.
Many Christian schools are in the same boat. Be careful
If I was allowed to "decide for myself" and conform to what the classroom is dictating like what these teachers are advocating for, my goodness what a disaster that would have been, as you can see from this two-part story of mine:
I remember my FIRST DAY of high school, in English class, we all sat in a circle and had to say what we thought about LGBT issues/rights (this was in 2015 I believe, so near the start of the mainstream monstrosity that we have now.
Thank you for blazing the trail.
I thought about that look outside statement Nate before you said it. These ideas are very suttle
What world does Mr Desmond live in
Had a back and forth with someone last week in comments, they told me I had made up the 20% queer stat. They told me there was a trans genocide happening and when I recommended they take a look at the numbers, they refused me. However, I think they did just that because after two days of back and forth, they stopped responding. Gotta pray for these kids.
Human beings. Every act and every word we make is a choice.
Even people like Bill Maher have quoted that stat. People just don't want to believe it because it is culture killing stuff.
Amen. Really need to hold these youngins up in prayer. Apply the blood of Jesus.
its way way less than 20% its not even a percent of the populace
What 20% stat?
I completely agree with everything you said. Very well said!!!
What values in particular?
School is for students to be Educated not Indoctrinated!
Neutrality is a MYTH☝🏼
Might be but that is the goal. Teachers are to be neutral in their political views and since most things these days end up being political, that goes for for sexual ones too.
Then they’re essentially lying to their students. They may have to present both sides but they themselves aren’t neutral. Everyone has a worldview.

1. Math.
2. English comprehension. Reading/writing/grammar.
3. History.

Why single out us Catholics? Aren’t we Christians too?

Buddy...i just stumbled onto your channel from your voddie bauchum breakdown, and i really enjoy your perspective. Thank you for doing what you do...👊
Great video!! I’ve been bingeing your videos. I would love to see you on one of these panels debating these topics.
Me too
The illusion of neutrality is such a game-changer when you really face and understand it.
Ironically, indoctrination is only a bad word when you’re referring to your opponent doing it 😂
We are ALL indoctrinated! The question is, what is the substance behind your belief? A solid rock or a little twig blowing in the wind?
Hear hear, well said! You should talk about stuff for a living (joking but also not joking)
They actually cannot control how they reveal they are doing the very things they claim they are not.
💯 Agree - this is a battle values & it's great to hear you articulate it so clearly.
Teacher: Okay students, we can see that the author is making a statement about God...
Johnny: I don't think I've seen enough information to be convinced of God's existence
Teacher: That's okay Johnny, you are entitled to your own opinion
Teacher: Okay students, we can see that the author is making a statement about transgenderism
Johnny: I don't think I've seen enough information to be convinced of the existence of more than two genders
Teacher: No Johnny, you can't say that. It's harmful to the trans people in the classroom.
If we are going to allow the discussion of different values in culture, we can't hold this double standard which censors particular viewpoints.
I really would like to see you partake in one of these debate videos, I think you have great answers
If you make another video continuing this discussion that would be great.
Wow, I'm glad I stumbled across this channel.
I think that education by the family and the circle that the family resides in shapes character, not a public school
I wouldn't say blessing. . . at all
Educational curriculum is an absolute.
On a macro level I would like to see the dept of education abolished and go back to state or even regional people running the public system.
My kids, MY education - since I pay for it! If you want to teach anything to my kids, YOU need MY approval. You don't get to impart your beliefs on MY kids. Get a child of your own if you wish to get authority on a kid! And that's that!!
I feel that public schools have dumb down kids. They don't teach what I remember. A lot of feel-good stuff came home with my kids.
This is why we do a private, collaborative (part homeschool, part on-campus), classical, Christian school
Great channel, Nate! I’m loving the topics and content
James Lindsay explains the breakdown of our system pretty handily.
Thanks for all the work you put into all your podcasts. I really appreciate the content. Good stuff. God bless.
Everybody’s wants to be “heard” but don’t talk to the one always listening
So if I became a teacher and taught the Bible as fact how many of these people would have a problem with it? Exactly so let’s not push sexual perversion in classrooms.
I truly enjoy watching your videos. You're retraining me on how to articulate my thoughts and how to think for myself, practice critic thinking and be a wise disciple 😉. Thank you for your willingness to post your debate analyses.
Parents don't want their kids exposed to sexuality by a moral degenerate.
Homeschooling is great, but the average American can’t afford that especially if they are income dependent. Pulling your kids out of school is not a solution to the problem. We need to speak up, advocate and fight against this indoctrination. Shout out to the parents speaking up at the board meetings 👏🏾 your courage and passion will not be vain , we hear you! Protect our children🙏🏾
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I am so tired of being treated like the unwashed masses. "If it is a priority you'll find a way." Wish life was that easy, but it's just not.
@@kendra9688 There is no greater investment in your life than your kids. I understand that by design you need 2 parents working but I would need to be homeless and eating at the food bank before I ever considered letting pedophiles be alone with my child for 35 hours a week to brainwash them.
@@kendra9688 They normally don't mean if its a priority you will find a way to homeschool. But if its a priority you will find a way to come up with some solution for your children.
Like me, my local public school was bad to say the least so my parents worked to find solutions. What they came up with was a better school but due to schools fees (They got a massive discount as this school) issues I had to take a bus then and train then a bus to school every day. It took me an hour and a half each way every day. Not ideal but the best they could do and it was wroth it.
One thing I like watching pastor Nate is that I always learn something new, whether it's a theological teaching, whether it's philosophical, whether it's literature or grammar (and I'm not even American and English is not my first language , I am Romanian and I live in Germany Europe). Thank you for the content and I pray for you, you are an inspiration. you motivate me to read and discover the Word of God and more. Be blessed.
Once again, physiognomy is proven true.
We need to pray for all the children
Understanding purpose in life is the most important value. If you never discover the purpose in life and fulfill it. You have wasted it.
Etc.
Thank you for this, I totally agree with your stand, Good bless you.
I do the same exact thing 😂😂😂 ( or any other comments)…
So happy that I came across with your channel !.. Thank you 🙏🏻🤗😉✊
It is a choice Desmond! Those of us who are mature and struggled with this choice know that... This is why we are scared to have you as a teacher!
Yes after much confusion thanks to other gay and trans men I CHOSE TO BE STRAIGHT!
Public schooling is the worst way RIGHT NOW to educate. The last 60 years is evidence.
I love your videos! Great content. You are appreciated!
Nate, do an analysis of Jeff Durbin and Dr Michael Brown. Jeff recently released a video essentially attempting to debunk dispensationalism (or at least a form of it) and Dr Brown responded to it.
I’d love to hear your take on that exchange!
Praise Jesus Christ
The devil is delighted with the trends in public education: not only has God been removed from daily acknowledgement, but sexual identity issues are permitted, adding sin!
My biggest problem with Desmond saying that "gay parents raise children exceptionally, they only adopt when they're financially secure..."
Children are not an adventure one chooses to go on!
☝️☝️ AMEN
I actually follow that lady sitting in the back on UA-cam and I did not realize that she was an educator.
what's her channel? I enjoyed hearing what she had to say on this, might be worth seeing what else she talks about
Excellent content as usual brother!
Please provide the link to the original video. Thanks in advance.
cool to see ppl talking and not yelling or shutting each other down immediately.
Hello I chose to send my kids to a Christian school because their curriculum and their values align with our family values and beliefs.
Love these commentaries Nate!
Thanks for sharing
