    I've never ever ever ever ever seen patience, skill, know-how, and sensitivity applied this way with a horse. It's mind blowing. I love so many of the name suggestions here, better than one I put forward earlier, but now think, given how lucky this guy is to be with you, that his name should reflect both his Spanish heritage and great luck: Fortuna or Fortuno for a male? No habla ...

    I really want to commend you on making it a very strong point that positive reinforcement is better than pushing a horse to just be okay with us. TEACHING a horse to be okay US, really shows who you are a person and it shows you really have a heart for these animals. Love your channel!!

    Really amazing how he is comfortable being haltered after one day. It really shows your ability as a trainer 🤩

    • @katiek.8808
      @katiek.8808 4 роки тому +2

      It actually shows her time and dedication. Other trainers on UA-cam refuse to put in the time to achieve this. What she has achieved in two days should be the norm.

    • @109367
      @109367 4 роки тому +2

      His personality is also a huge help, I've seen really good trainers on here who took a little longer because the horse simply wasn't ready yet, some just take more time and they also tend to be older. This guy actually seems really easy, he's very trusting and only three years old.

    • @katiek.8808
      @katiek.8808 4 роки тому +1

      @109367 those are all excuses. It’s never the horse. It’s always the human.

    • @109367
      @109367 4 роки тому +1

      @@katiek.8808 So if the horse is extremely reactive and skittish and like seven years old and its trainer has been training horses on a five star level for 20+ years and can't get a halter on in the first few days it's her fault? I am speaking of someone specific here. Horses are all different with different personalities, you aren't going to be able to get a halter on within the first few days on all horses, some are so reactive and fearful you can't even touch them for the first two weeks.

    • @katiek.8808
      @katiek.8808 4 роки тому +1

      @109367 yes, that is not a 5 star level trainer that is a con man. I’m sorry to break it to you, but that is the biggest red flag ever. It is absolutely the humans fault always. This is what is wrong with the horse world. Quite frankly if anyone has been doing this for 20 years and can’t get a halter on a horse within 3-4 days they are doing something very wrong. 5 star trainers get a halter on in 2 days tops. I hope you are not giving that person money. If you are stop and find someone different. I can’t believe that is acceptable to you.

    I’ve seen halters put on by the handlers in a stall at the mustang station. Obviously the horse throws itself around the confined pen, inexperienced people picking up a horse don’t know there’s this way and are worried that without a halter at the station they won’t be able to get the horse vet treatment until days of work at home. So this is a very good demonstration.

    a lot of baby steps lead to giant strides.You do this well. I take the halter off every time i'm done for the day and put on again at the start of each day, in two or three days it's no longer an issue. I do not leave halters on my horses all the time,if it catches on something they can get hurt.

    What a difference in 2 days! Love the snuffles! I was getting hay from a man who has a big set up and ships most of his hay to Florida from TN. Unfortunately he sprays all his hay with the inoculants/preservatives and the heaviness of the spray varies and my horses and I don't like the smell. It's supposed to be safe, but some farmer's spray hay that is sure to mold and you end up with green, moldy and spray stink. I am buying Idaho Timothy now. Thankfully there is an importer, but it takes all day to go get it.

    Alfons - Gothic - Noble and Ready; A variant form of the name Alfonso
    Cariann - A man who is a darling
    Esteban - crowned in victory
    Everardo - brave or hardy
    Fargo - A person who comes from the fenced pasture (This one mite be really fitting!)
    Felis - He who is fortunate in life (I also like this one BC it is true!)
    Jeronimo - One who is saved from harm
    Renato - Born Again; Reborn; Rebirth; A variant of name Rene
    Saviero - One who has a new home
