  • The Chihuly Bridge of Glass, a brilliant display of color with forms rising forty feet from the bridge deck, links downtown Tacoma to the city’s waterfront. Conceived by Tacoma native Dale Chihuly and executed in collaboration with Arthur Andersson of Ardersson•Wise Architects, the Chihuly Bridge of Glass is 500-foot-long pedestrian bridge with three large-scale sculptural installations: "Seaform Pavilion", "Crystal Towers", and "Venetian Pavilion".
As a free, outdoor public project that is open 24 hours a day, the Bridge of Glass fulfills Chihuly’s vision of providing an accessible, immersive art experience to his home community and serves as, in his words, “a gateway to Tacoma.”

Cool Chihuly! My favorite art exhibit of all time was your show I saw in Albuquerque in 1998.
