I had same problem with mine, I called the company and they sent me a upgraded battery charger and a new battery. I haven't had the problem ever since I started using the new battery charger. Seems the original battery charger only charged the battery to about 6v and after you run the car on that low of a volt the car actually shuts off to keep from harming anything.
Damn that 12 took it better than the 10. Thought he had glued the diffs locked till I saw the limited slip working with the one front tire spinning at 5:13. Still suspect he may have locked the back up.

I bought the 12 scale An d have problems out of box with motor shutting off after full throttle... Any ideas. I was so excited

you got to upgrade the battery with these. The stock battery gives the ESC problems due to its low voltage.
