HI THERE. MY NAME IS JOHN RO OGDEN, BUT OGGIE WILL DO...
I am a newbie golfer, 51 Years old and lets say, hmm a BIG lad... But that doesn't stop me, I have a passion for the sport and although I have lots to learn I want to prove to people that Golf can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age, size, shape or experience.
BIG OGGIE GOLF is my new channel dedicated to ALL golfers.
We can't all be professional or scratch standard and many of us will never get close, but we can still have FUN.
So there will be regular Vlogs, Product reviews and Golf Course reviews from around the UK as well as Worldwide.
We will meet many golfers and golf fans along the way and I hope you will get to see things a little differently from the usual Golf UA-cam Channels out there.
There will also be lots of fun to be had and once the channel is established regular Competitions for Channel subscribers to take part in.
Golf sometimes gets a bad press and whilst occasionally that might be justified I hope to show it as not quite as stuffy and stereotyped as one would imagine.
There will also be my thoughts on what makes golf seem so stressful for people just starting out, and I will be looking at ways of making that all important first step a little easier.

I ventured over to your channel after I saw a comment of yours on a Mark Crossfield video...and wow, you haven't disappointed. Good vlog OGGIE! Course looked ok condition.... That putt in the par 3 tho. Smithy moved his marker and u smash it 3 foot wide of it 😂 should of used is marker as the line
I have to say that sometimes I do lose concentration when I am doing filming. Spending too much time chatting and thinking about what’s being seen on camera. I even have a putting pre shot routine now and yet everything went out of the window on this trip lol
BIG OGGIE GOLF Oh no. What a shame... Even tho the filming is fun it can be a little stressful at times... I prefer to 2 ball vlogs myself... 3 balls are OK if everyone is familiar with camera work... It is tough tho..
U shouldn't let it ruin ur game tho OGGIE... Set up the camera and then get back into ur routines... They are so important... Even tho the routine may take a little time u would actually save time by taking less shots 😉

Both Smithy and I were amazed how beautiful the course was and it was in great condition and there has been a lot of rain around that area of late. Yes it is isn’t it ha ha... I did get to ring it myself later on the actual hole where it was. Sometimes when I am on camera I have to just say things off the cuff and hopefully be entertaining.

How did you get on at Enmore Park?
Really good course, hit 84 playing off an 18. It’s got a few really challenging holes, that 18th whacking it down the hill towards the car park was a lively one lol.
Curious, does Smithy play better on camera or off camera? My guess is on.
Hmm that’s a very interesting question and one I will get him to answer later. However for me I will say that I do tend to play better when I am filming although sometimes I do rush shots due to worrying about everything else. When I play at my local club I tend to feel more pressure amongst the people I know more, does that make sense?
BIG OGGIE GOLF that does make sense... I find the camera does help you focus sometimes but you are very conscious of pace of play... Amazing g if u can get it on a quiet day

Good question, I do tend to concentrate more on camera as I know messing up gets seen by everyone. Towards the end of last summer I was scoring rounds of 84/85 but that wasn’t in competition so handicap wasn’t cut, yet to join a club this year as like to play different courses so I try to monitor it using the app ‘GolfShake’ 👍🏻
Cool, not familiar with that app, I'll check it out. also that tendency should come in handy in tourneys too--playing on camera is a similar feeling to playing under pressure.
You were a bit mean about the water balls
I don’t know where I was mean, everything we say is in good humour and taken lightly. I ended up in the water myself when we played the second nine holes, but that wasn’t on camera.
I've watched it few times and I didn't think John was mean its all banter golf should be fun like it was in the blog we laugh at each other 😂😃👍👌
In all fairness it was all in good vain, everyone enjoyed the banter and had a great time 👍🏻
Glad to hear - scared with Oggster was getting a bit mouthy like a Mark crossfield or something. I get a bit stressed watching Crossfield because he's a smart ass. I enjoy Oggies more gentle and humble manner but horses for courses y'know?
