Great flavors, Ms Cindy. I’ve always looked at these harmony hammer ons & pull offs as a bit of spice, just to add a touch more flavor to the tunes. Beautiful upload, ma’am 👍🏻
I’d love to get into using licks some more. I’m definitely the strummer type, but licks are a great way to add more interesting flavor and texture to a song. I’m going to try what you did later. How would you do these types of licks with a flat pick? Btw, what’s the deal with that guitar hanging behind you? Just a decoration or was it playable at some time? I always wonder. It’s not in your hall of guitars, lol. 😉
Just playing with those and its nice to flip those high notes down an octave and play the same things and add the high note back in .. in some ways too..... thought of another ditty! you know the B7 with the high note on F# and next one down open B and next down A on second fret and next down Eb? well you bring that up so high e is on seventh fret and keep in going down a fret in half steps till you get to the Db7 then you do the F# major chord then the B7 and back to the E
@@guitarnotions F#7 cool instead of regular major... guess its an extended turnaround... could just do those two lower notes of the B7 I mentioned the A and Eb and have that so the higher notes at the 7th fret you could bring it down in half steps to the B7
Unfortunately here between dry cold winters and heat on and AC in summer I use nomad humidifiers. Their "sponges" hold water for a few weeks between re-saturating.
Something I noticed about some of the players is it looked like they used just their thumb and index watching mance lipscomb , RL burnside and Lighnin Hopkins but i think Brownie Mcgee did more how you do..... what do you think anyone, did it look like that?
I might say something that's horrible to some but the humidity thing. Guys for years gigged, lived with guitars without advanced humidifier options for years. Somehow lots of old guitars survived. Basic care?
I'm so glad ypu jump around the way you do. I love the little licks. Love the blue's! Thanks for the encouragement.

Yes I see that thumb playing low e. Also look at the guitar necks. They are slim? Its so interesting the different styles. Thanks for sharing ❤️
@@guitarnotions you are welcome and thank you, maybe or large hands?

That's kind of where I am at. If I travel I case with a humidifier. Home is stable enough it's gone well over the years. 😀
