This looks like my herd from years ago. I only had about 30, but so similar. They had their own barn in the backyard. Small of course, but full of hay. Most I have ever seen at one time. We had two as kids, they would greet us every morning when we would come down stairs. Lots of personality. Thanks for your nice video. Blessings to you and yours.
All of our guinea pigs always do better with having a buddy around. Our older boys tend to hang out together, partly because they've known each other the longest. Our girls have a really well organized hireachy and community, all to themselves. The girls even take turns looking out for the rest of the girls.

I had so many guinea pigs as a teen into 20's. My Mom, bless her soul, thought I was too old for guinea pigs. You are never too old for guinea pigs. I am 66 now, and wish I could have pigs, but it would drive my little dog mad and scare the pigs.
Oh my goodness, this is just -amazing-! It really makes me realize how much I miss my little crew of peegs . . . and it makes me remember the joy of feeding time, and just how raucous the wee fuzzles could get! :D How many littles do you have here, Ms Temple? And how in the world do you manage to afford the vet bills for this crew? o.O I remember years ago when I nearly lost my little queen bee . . . she stopped eating and her intestinal tract stopped. There's a name for it that my stroke damaged mind refuses to dredge up. But the vet bill from that alone was over $600. Molly was 6 at the time, and the vet got her all fixed up again. She ultimately passed three days after her 9th birthday. I simply cannot imagine what your outlay must be for that beautiful field of peegs. *hugs* Be well, you and your wonderful fuzzy potatoes! :D
I thought I had a lot of Guinea Pigs..... I have four! I cannot even imagine the amount of time and care it takes to look after all these tiny floofs. Props to these people - they're dedicated.
I love guinea pigs. I had my first one for Chrismas when I was four year's old. I 've got 7 guinea pigs today. They bring me lot of joy and love. Thanks for sharing.
I used to breed GPs and at top numbers, I had 76. I bred to create the palomino rough with a white collar mostly. Although I did also try to get the same colours into the silkies. But I found the silky coats too time-consuming to properly care for once I had several of them. I was also in the army! I discovered they love climbing. Apparently, in their native habitat, they live in tree hollows which is amazing. I made shelves up the walls 5 tiers high with slatted ramps from shelf to shelf. The more dominant ones took the top shelves. Shelves were big enough to hold about 15GPs so plenty of room so no fighting at night time. Every shelf was lined with hessian cut and sewed to shape which I could remove each morning to clean all the shelves. I hung the linings over the clothesline and hosed them off. Then swept the concrete floors of each pen and put down new hay. Once a week I hosed out each pen. Outdoor pens, just like fully enclosed chicken pens, ran off each indoor pen. The big room under the house was divided into pens- male, female, breeding pairs. Boys in one pen, girls in another, then breeding pairs shared the main outdoors pens after the boys or girls were put away or let out onto the lawn. The indoor pens were separated by a 2ft6inch high expanded mesh wall so I could easily move from pen to pen for cleaning etc. Then I discovered some males had learned to climb or even jump over it! lol unplanned babies- oh no!! I used to let either boys or girls out onto my lawn at least once per week for even more fun. They ran around in the same train formations as shown in this video! Always fun to watch. My veggie garden was fenced off with chain mesh so was ideal for the GPs to roam loose. I allowed grass to grow long in some of the veggie garden beds so they could have 'habitat' like in their native environment. They made tunnels through the tall grass. The outdoors pens were quite long (20m) and I had fenced off sections where I grew corn, oats and other greens then I would open that sector gate to let them in. They would go crazy climbing the corn plants and pulling them down to ground level. Eventually, my career got too important and time-consuming so I had to stop breeding and over the years they died of old age. I missed having some pigs running around the house both inside and outside. I had taught them to poo on newspaper inside the house and mostly they conformed which made it easier to clean up. Once I taught the first lot they passed that habit onto their babies because I always let them grow up in family units until breeding age. One year the baby males were ready to breed at 6wks of age! I couldn't believe they were attempting to mate so young! It was a wild scurry to separate them! Talk about unplanned pregnancies! lol Yes, even though I am retired now, I still miss my GPs 30yrs later! I hate the way people think they only need tiny cages or rabbit hutches with no room to wander or climb and feed them food which is too rich or too soft. They are browsers like goats. In their native habitat, they clean the forest of dead matter mostly, along with some greens when the season allows. Some live along the edges of the forest and make forrays out into the grasslands to collect bedding materials and seedheads. This is when they make the tunnels through the long dense grass.
Your herd is adorable.i love guinea pigs so this is a dream for me! This looks like heaven,so if you have the money to keep it up I looks and sounds wonderful!

Soooo lovely!! (And the cutie just munching in front of the camera a moment ago looked just like our Spiffy did... - thanks for the memories, and it's wonderful to see them all having such a naturally good time.)
My pleasure!. The GP Crew and I always enjoy hearing stories from/about other owners and their piggies. Ours are about as natural as any else you're likely to find. Thank-you for your kind comment!.
As a man who has lived most of his life in the city I’ve never known that this is how potatoes are farmed.

Here they come.
This is what I wanna see when I make it to heaven. I miss every piggie I’ve ever owned. And I’ll continue to have more just because I’m that “crazy Guinea pig girl” from school
I guess they don't live very long lives, huh? That's gotta be tough, even tho I've never had one

Or is this fantasy?
Caught in a landslide!

They seem to have a wonderful life. The amount of space they have is awesome. Happy pigs😍
Thank you!.

I haven’t seen that movie in years
I like it when God throws in more green grass for them to eat.
God spends his days along the freeway, getting buckets so he can do just that. Honk, as you pass him by.
@@AdamBror Does he has guinea pigs?
@@AdamBror here we go with the obsessive, narsisitic religious person🤦🏽♂️Do u realize that there are a least 12 different types of religions in the world, and by u saying that "there is only one god" it makes the other ones somewhat useless, less important and that makes u a complete ignorant.
@MysteriousMustacheMan 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ That’s why I am an atheist, I don't find any logic on why u guys say. However, I believe in respect and I can see u don't have any for anyone that doesn't share your belief. Again there are many religions in this world, u are not unique or special neither your god.

Most I have ever seen at one time. We had two as kids, they would greet us every morning when we would come down stairs. Lots of personality. Thanks for your nice video. Blessings to you and yours.
Such happy and well cared for guinea pigs. Thank you for looking after them all so well❤️
Have you noticed them having best friends or specific groups they like to gather in?
No.
No
All of our guinea pigs always do better with having a buddy around. Our older boys tend to hang out together, partly because they've known each other the longest. Our girls have a really well organized hireachy and community, all to themselves. The girls even take turns looking out for the rest of the girls.

Annabel Temple ahahaha,cool!...
Reminds me of the Star Trek episode, The Trouble with Tribbles....
God thats so gunny.
I mean funny.
Yes it does - I almost forgot about that episode. 😃
From the thumbnail image I honestly expected an intentional remake of that Star Trek scene.
The Trouble with Tribbles was inspired by a short story called Pig Is Pigs, which was about gunnies.
Guinea pigs are easily the most soothing animals to have around.
Absolutely agree!

I watched the whole six minutes and twenty-two seconds of this video. From the guinea pigs rushing in, to them enjoying the grass. It was so cute! 😊😊
This is the most adorable heart warming vid I had never seen in my entire life, an army of cute little munching guinea pigs. So cute :3
😃 I love their squeaks and whistles, also their little quiet mutters. Piggies are very cool! 😏 I've never seen a guinea pig herd, and this just made me smile.
Thanks for posting this vid, it truly is quite wonderful. ☺
Thank you for your lovely and straightforward comment. Indeed, piggies are very cool!.
I had so many guinea pigs as a teen into 20's. My Mom, bless her soul, thought I was too old for guinea pigs. You are never too old for guinea pigs. I am 66 now, and wish I could have pigs, but it would drive my little dog mad and scare the pigs.
2:13 that one couple in the cafeteria thats alway doing the most
Oh my goodness, this is just -amazing-!

Omg the white one with the red face at around 1:03 !!! It's like it's wearing a white snowsuit!
Talk about unplanned pregnancies! lol
Yes, even though I am retired now, I still miss my GPs 30yrs later!
