This video was extremely helpful! Thank you so much for making it. I had one question about the submitting test scores portion (around the 12-minute point). Can someone choose to apply EA to a safety school with an 1100 SAT score in November, retake the SAT in December, and apply to regular decision to mid-level/reach schools with a better SAT score of 1350? Would they have to go back and tell their EA schools they got a better score or does it not matter? Since the ACT/SAT isn't mandatory anymore I know a lot of high schoolers are struggling to decide whether to take it, when to apply, and what scores to apply with. For context, I'm a mentor to high school students but these tests were mandatory when I applied and I want to make sure I'm up to date on my information and how to navigate the Common App.
Thank you for the video! I have a question Should my recommenders submit LoRs only once? If I change the list of colleges after that will they have to do something again like sign an extra agreement?
Could I apply to college matchlighters scholars program in my first semester of junior yr? Also, can colleges see what courses you’ve taken in which grade level?
Thanks so much for the insightful explanation, we are organizing African Scholars Webinar to discuss more tips about admission. Please let me know if you can be parr of it 🎉 thanks
How do you have access to common app?? Im new to being an IEC (former admissions officer and school counselor) Id love to be able to walk though this with my students just like you did.. is that an option somehow???
If one or more of the colleges that I am applying to accept an optional extracurricular résumé, do I repeat all of the same information that I put in the activity section and then add additional information and details to it? Or do I only put information that I did not include in the activity section?
Whichever school you apply ED to will require your "ED Signature" in the Common App. All you have to do is type your name into the textbox once it shows up in the application.
Wonderful! Clear, concise, and clever!!!
Thank you!
My favorite College Essay Guy :)

Yes, if you need to change/update your application after submission, you usually can do so by emailing/contacting the school's admission department.
Thank you for the video!

Yes, and yes! Our Matchlighters link is included in the video description!
Can I add any document? I want to upload my brag sheet for the college to see, where can I do that?
There will usually be an option to upload a resume (if a school accepts them) somewhere in the Activities List or application sections.
Thank you for helping out always
You're so welcome!
Great, thanks!

We're just using a normal Common App account. You can create your own and have the same access as we do!

I would suggest only including information that hasn't already been disclosed.
How do I enter an ED signature?
Whichever school you apply ED to will require your "ED Signature" in the Common App. All you have to do is type your name into the textbox once it shows up in the application.
Does this common app applies to Grad-School ?
Not completely. Grad school applications are usually a little different. We have two videos about applying to grad school on our channel!
