I recognize this approach. I fell away from that movement because I can't find that sympathy in my heart, except for the people I share the well being of our community with, and who respect our individual liberty. From what I heard, this was not how Ted actually was during the process. They said he was very eerily calm and still tried to be the center of attention. He for sure didn’t want to die and they did say he was uneasy during his last meal and the leading up to it but once it was time he pretty much just accepted it “like a showman who just finished his last show”. While this execution method is by far the quickest, it is one of the most painful. Basically imagine being drowned in ice water on dry land and crushed by an invisible hydraulic press all the while trying to scream in fear and agony and not being able to open your mouth or produce any sound. Bundy may have had a brain incapable of expressing sympathy or remorse, but he recognised abject terror of his own impending death (whether he acknowledged it when he saw it in the eyes of his victims we'll never know) but it sure wiped that smirk off his face real fast.
That’s a fancy way of using your imagination: what an actual electrocution feels like… I image the mind goes unconscious almost immediately, which means death. It’s a high intensity volt that burns the body from the inside out thoroughly, of which the mind cannot be conscious of for more than a few moments. The mind would go unconscious faster than the body would die, which would take a few moments more. No one knows what death feels like until it happens. If reality is a dream, which I think it is, it’s likely that the mind goes unconscious from the human perspective and rejoins Source BEFORE the body dies. When people die of natural causes, the body shuts down in phases, and usually the mind goes unconscious first. I have always wondered if violent deaths are painless. It sucks that none of us knows for sure, but I do think that very high intensity trauma to the body that is sudden puts the mind unconscious immediately. With intense pain the mind just can’t process it. It goes into shock and blocks it out. That’s how I see death, and hopefully I am highly accurate.
The whole depiction is ridiculously stupid fantasy. They don’t stick Vaseline soaked cotton balls in your ass. They make you wear a rubber diaper because you’re being electrocuted. Shave the head and the leg for the electrodes. They soak a sponge in a chemical, it’s not just saline as other people talk about, but the wet sponge is placed between the electrodes and shaved skin for the best conductivity. I can’t remember what it is but it’s specifically for that reason. At least in Florida, the condemned doesn’t see the Executioner. Furthermore, Executioners for the Florida DOC (at least in the 1980s) were not prison guards or any other prison staff. Believe it or not, they put an ad in the paper and the candidate is screened and if accepted for the one time job, they are given a date, time and address where they meet an unmarked prison van and the van takes them from where their vehicle is parked, usually a shopping mall, to the prison. They exit the van with a hood on for anonymity and the Master Electrician for DOC explains the switch to them and that’s it. They receive a check from DOC and are transported back to their vehicle. There was a journalist at Bundy’s Execution who believed that the Executioner was a woman. Hopefully so. Ted Bundy was a land shark. He is an anomaly. Very intelligent, the epitome of the ruthless, narcissistic sociopath. The world is better off without him but when they fabricate stupid rage material like this movie, they diminish the seriousness of it.
He was not petrified, but calm and collected and cotton balls were not stuffed in his rectum ( this practice was stoped long before his execution). I wish movie didn't distort the reality
I thought he was pretty emotionless? But when he walked into the room and saw the electric chair he lost his composure and froze for a few seconds? Something like that
Hell is very real.. and there is no escape..it's where people go who are pure evil .. Jesus mentions it so much in the bible to warn us ..it's our own choice..
They should have had him facing the phone on the wall and have that phone's line unplugged from the phone and let Bundy stare at the wire dangling oh so close. Or, have the phone ring just before the executioner pulls the switch, the warden answers the phone and says "Billy? Sorry wrong number". Have this repeat a few times before he turns the ringer off and signals to continue with execution.
It's not likely he felt anything at all. An execution via electric chair might be a gruesome spectacle, but the condemned is likely unconscious immediately.
@@munch9331 once the electricity starts to flow after the switch is flipped, you black out instantly. The high voltage causes a massive seizure resulting in brain death.

At 4:30 minutes is when the story really gets juicy and heats up. The tale is no longer just about a serial killer, it’s also about Wesley’s deep desire to make Uncle Bob accept and love him (as seen in the spinoff “the Adventures of Wesley and Uncle Bob”). Amazingly, Ted is cringing but watching one of the most amazing prison duos work out an issue that had plagued their relationship for some 3 odd months. Wesley is stirring the vaseline, and then interestingly pauses, looks up at his loving uncle and asks him “is this okay Uncle Bob?” Make no mistake, Wesley is asking more than just whether he was using enough butt stuffing, he was asking for validation - something that we can only imagine moved Ted to emotional tears as we see in the video. At almost 6:00 minutes exactly, Uncle Bob is consoling Ted, and Wesley asks him a second time “is this okay Uncle Bob?” The question, while answered by Uncle Bob is rhetorical in nature - one that Ted could have opined on and the viewer also can discuss with others. A true tour-de-force!
Wow! - For some reason this execution was more disturbing than in The Green Mile movie! Although, visually Green Mile could make you run away from a theater!
I was living in Central Florida, in junior high when he was executed. It was all over the news obviously as it was everywhere (the poster child for serial killers). I've always been interested in the subject, and think Ted Bundy: The Survivors is the best documentary. It really shows how they saw him, and not just news bits, rehashing the carnage and trial show. I find it funny how he was always caught because he was a bad driver. Every time. The dumbest capture belongs to BTK though asking the cops about being able to be identified off a floppy. He actually thought they wouldn't lie. Or, he wanted the fame in being captured.

BTK had to have wanted the fame, because there’s otherwise no way anyone could ever be that stupid. There was absolutely no way they’d have ever caught him otherwise.
Thankfully, his pleas to live fell upon deaf ears the same way his victims' did with him. The tears were for his own death. And the "remorse" he and others claimed he had was only due to him being caught and what he could've done differently to prevent it.

Bundy may have had a brain incapable of expressing sympathy or remorse, but he recognised abject terror of his own impending death (whether he acknowledged it when he saw it in the eyes of his victims we'll never know) but it sure wiped that smirk off his face real fast.
You are a great writer bro, wow...
I think burning would be worse mate.
I wholeheartedly agree

BTK wanted to get caught. The local media stopped reporting on his murders and he missed the notoriety.
Who’s BTK
@@ashleighelizabethmurray3893 BTK (Bind Torture Kill) was a serial killer in Kansas in the 70s. His real name is Dennis Rader.
@@bertpunkaficionado8357 I was three hours north east of Wichita in Kansas City. I was 2 when he first started killing women, so I had no idea. Obviously. I was toddling around on mom's shag carpet watching John Boy and holiday cartoons on TV. BTK liked to kill the husbands and kids too.
Lalalaaaaa
Darn right it did!!!
I remember watching this that morning as it was happening before school. I was about 8 years old. It was a Tuesday because I remember one of the people gathered signs said "Tuesday is Fryday for Bundy"..
Were your parents OK with you watching that?
Now he knows the terror his victims felt and the terror their families suffer now.
What a coward. The punishment he received was nothing to the cruel, unmerciful way he tortured and slaughtered those young girls. He literally ran brooms up their bottoms and he can’t take a shave and a title butt plug… oh my! Although, I doubt very much that it went down this way. It would be declared inhumane and the prison would be shut down.
If it did happen that way… oh well. There’s much more of that and worse where he went.
it takes a lot of guts to kill people. the man's a legend. same with the 9/11 terrorists . . . the cowards are really the "normal" people who are afraid of everything and to do anything and seem to eat their problems and are overweight. 😆
Toxic feminism strikes again. Yeah let’s pray pain on men when they react this way bc girls hurt them 🤷🏽♂️
You right bro
They changed a few things for the film. The executioner wasn't a woman and he didn't get the butt plug. At least according to wikipedia.
He didn’t torture any girls what are you talking about? Wrong serial killer. Yes Bundy bashed them over the head, raped them killed them instantly - and he died instantly too. He was even smiling and joked before executed - had complete composure, unlike how this movie fantasy depicts it, as a revenge fantasy for losers
I wonder how accurate the portrayal of Bundy and the 'tough guy' guard are. Everything I read indicates he walked right to the chair, said a few words, and got on with it.
Yes, that sounds like everything I've ever heard too. Hollywood sucks. Look how they made people feel pity for Aileen Wuornos. She was a serial killer but they actually tried "humanizing" her in that movie Monster. I will say Charlize Theron did a superb job portraying her. But Aileen Wuornos was an absolutely, disgusting, cold blooded piece of s
Correct
i also don't believe that death row guards treat the concemned like that. I imaging it is a hard job.
I heard that they don't take the death row inmates kicking and screaming,
And that they don't execute them in a hostile state,
That they have to be calm,
But you can't be resist and fighting!
Maybe they give them a mild sedative or something that we don't hear about or something,
But You heard a death row inmates once say that the conditions are so bad with living your live in a very small space, and that it's so torturous to the mind, that you look forward to execution as opposed to having continue to live like that!
Unbelievable!
@@PamelaSwain-z7z yes, some have asked for the execution to be expidited. i've heard that seditives have been offere. i can't remember who it was referring to though.

That was nothing compared to what he put his victims through..
I like how they didn’t over dramatize the electric chair scene. Made it more real.
They definitely over dramatized everything about the execution none of that happend he was actually very calm and relaxed have u seen any of the guards testimonies that where there ? They didn’t stuff him with anything or shave his head this is more of an exaggeration if u knew how calm he really was when this happened it would probably upset most people

I dunno….looked pretty damn dramatic to me

Despite this monster deserving EVERYTHING he got including the execution. What's even scarier is how riled up people got before and while it was happening. Rather morbid if you ask me.
What is actually true is Ted Bundy wasn't emotional and scared, he was calm throughout the whole preparation, nor was his rectum stuffed with cotton, they discontinued that procedure long before Bundy's execution, and his final statement before his death was actually "I'd like you to give my love to my family and friends." What inaccuracies were in the movie were mostly made to build drama.
I thought he confessed to murdering the missing girl in Idaho.

They do.
Have you ever actually BEEN to Florida, Floridaman?
@floridaman5125 Not a qualifier, Sparky.
Tell us, did you proudly vote for an orange-tinted international regret, who publicly cucked your half-pint closet-homo governor, right out of her NeoNazi shoe lifts, while he sold nuclear arms secrets to his tiny, Russian dominatrix, Vladimir? Because, that, "hold my beer", and cousin-diddlin' is what makes a real Floridiahhoid. Every primate on the planet knows that.
And, yes. I have done both. But, I didn't need to dip my tip in Florida to have a great alligator recipe or three.
@floridaman5125 Airboats travel on water, not a road.
Maybe you are from Florida.
But , do you diddle underage first cousins during church, like Matt Gaetz? Now, THATS a Floridiahhoid.
No empathy for killers or gangsters. Not just for the lives they've taken but the survivors of the people they destroyed having to live out the rest of their lives remembering the loss of their loved ones.
Watching a serial killer crying in pain and begging for the pain to stop is soooo satisfying

@russdiggity3060. I agree with you. With him simply being a drama king is so damn hilarious. HE HE HE HA HA HA HO HO HO. 😊
Too bad it's a movie and not even a realistic portrayal of what happened

One of his victims was a little girl. I bet his victims didn’t even cross his mind at his ending.
This dude’s acting is legendary most underrated performance of all time. I think the critics hated it simply bc they assumed it was about glorifying this wicked demon but it’s actually just telling the story so we know to be careful when the world is filled with evil assholes
Exactly and I see a lot of these comments too. Making movies about the murderers rather than the victims isn't about glamorizing these evil individuals, it's because they're trying to warn us about these sickos.
And it was completely inaccurate and not what happened at all lol
irony intended about the asshole part?
" most underrated performance of all time "....I thought they'd stopped showing Neighbours 🙄 I agree MH's portrayal of this infamous mass murdering man is remarkable and he deserved all the plaudits and the praise.
Not really... Ted Bundy didn't shed any sort of emotion.
Hate to be the guard who draws the short straw for the cotton stuffing job! 😖
Don't nobody wanna see that
Whelette Collins who was a beautiful friend of mine in High school during the seventies. She was at her North Carolina Wesleyan College basketball game . After the game she walked out to the parking lot with two of her friends who were also cheerleaders.Apparently there was no lighting in the back corner of the lot where they parked. All three were abducted by Kermit Smith who forced Whelettes two friends in the back trunk. He put Whelette on the floor in the back of the car. Kermit drove to an old abandoned quarry. Forced Whelette out of the car. After raping Whelette she was forced to sit in snow during sub freezing temperature for over an hour. She was crying to this animal telling him please!!! I need to put my clothes back on,I am freezing! This creep told her,I can put you out of you misery instead! After which he did. He pick up a huge rock crushing her skull! What’s sickening is although this animal was sentenced to death. His death sentence was to be injected and slowly go to sleep. Of course he was given a sedative so he could pass away in a happier mood! He was terrified to be put to death! His last words were (This is wrong! It’s barbaric!)First of all this guy should have felt the same pain he put this young 20 year old cheerleader through! If anything instead of an injection he should have felt 60,000 volts of electricity going through him! This would be a deterrent for others to not do what he committed! Instead he got a cocktail to relax himself so he could be injected and go to sleep! How in the hell can this be a deterrent for the next killer out there? I think these murderers should feel the exact same pain they put their victims through! Whelette had a mother,a younger brother and sister who went through pure hell after learning Whellet was murdered. I think about Whelette often and wish I could have been there to help her. She will always be in everyone’s prayers and thoughts!
God bless Whelette and her family. I can't imagine the pain they all endured.
What happened to the other 2 girls?
I still think of her as well. My Daddy was one of the jurors. Even though he was a tough vet who survived Hurtgen Forest, he had a hard time with this.
Consequently, I was never allowed to go anywhere alone or without my brothers. I even had to stay with my older one at college. We lived in a small nearby town where everyone knew everyone for generations. I was in my mid 20's before I was no longer escorted everywhere.
In the immortal words of emperor Nero, upon ordering death to one or more people he said: "Kill them, but make them feel they are dying..".
"Offered him steak and eggs"...what is done to those animals is Hell on Earth for them
The fact he didn’t want a last meal means he was too nervous/scared to eat. Good
Bundy was an animal
I couldn't imagine enjoying the last meal going that I was going to be put to death
Contorl issue
He had no one to blame but him self!
Lawrence Russell Brewer was the most infamous example. He ordered a huge feast and when it came he refused a single bite, claiming he wasn't hungry. That put an end to the death row inmates in Texas choosing what they wanted and instead get the same food as everyone else.
"that's a good boy, that's a good boy, don't want to keep keep your fans waiting" 😂
Such a great line
I like how realistic these scene is. No rediculous jumping around. This shows what actually happens when someone is electrocuted.
He waltzed in the room like a celebrity according to witnesses. He died with a smile on his face and wore it after death from the looks of his dead photo. Truly a sick individual.
How do you know? They totally misrepresented the 'witnesses' and the so called execution scene where the beautiful model supposedly playing the executioner and after it's over her removing her mask only to reveal and shake her gorgeous long hair..I actuallyt hought for a moment I was watching a TV commercial 🤔😳 absolute and utter bullshit which spoilt and made light of the long end scene which up to that point had been a incredibly tense and thought provoking moment from Bundy's guard's entering his cell and telling the condemned what they were going to do re preparing him for the electric chair right through to the leading and placing bundy in the chair to the end . Still an interesting and challenging production which I found interesting and enjoyable ( is that allowed?)

Which part's of this would you actually call " realistic" 🤔
@@UXB-p5uThe procedure is close enough, I guess. I've watched a lot of documentaries. Yet, they took a LOT of 'artistic liberties' with this film. By that, I mean, the whole finish was crud.

There is actually a spin-off prequel called, “Wesley and Uncle Bob” where it details Wesley’s tutelage by Uncle Bob and how they became the “butt whisperers” in these situations. The only thing that really is sad, but true - is that Wesley never was as sure as his uncle and always relied on Uncle Bob to tell him if in fact he had scraped up enough Vaseline. Uncle Bob never got over this and the prequel really delves into this interesting dichotomy.
Although in reality Bundy's butt was never stuffed prior to execution, although he was gang raped at least twice whilst on death row

At this point I think the ass stuffing part was to just make him feel extremely small and dehumanize him even tho the wasn’t human
They didn’t even do it to him at all. And if they did that like that it would contravene human rights entirely and democratic standards. Should never have been done. To Bundy it certainly didn’t - this was made up entirely
Just like all liberals and democrats.

There was speculation at Ted Bundy's execution that the executioner may have been a woman. I read this in the book by Ann Rule "The Stranger Beside Me."
Well if it’s anything like this movie which is entirely made up - was no cotton wool, no emotional Ted, made up last words, then I doubt it would be the case.
That was a fabulous book. Ann Rule was a terrific writer.
The actor who played him should get an award because he did such an amazing job, returning such a horrible human being props to him
I thought so too. Why he isn't a huge star is very odd.
I remember one of the local radio stations played "Na Na Hey Hey, Kiss Him Goodbye" after Bundy was dead.
Whoa!!! Life can be truly terrifying. A man who inflicted so much terror and suffering on others meets a truly gruesome end.
Well he didn’t really….he died quickly. Was in no way emotional and even joked before his execution. The being stuffed with cotton wool is made up (that would be a violation of human rights btw) and simply never happened. The chair kills you instantly. It’s a joke of a movie not depicting what happened at all. Simply made up. Only factual thing is he died in the chair.
Good.
