Amanda Mandelcorn you don’t know the netherlands hahah. I live in the Netherlands and we are with 5 and we use 2 blocks of cheese a week. So 8 blocks a month. And we use cheese with everything haahhaahhaha.

I love how you are "old school" and do not drag your newborn around town. I worked in a restaurant up the street from a hospital and so many people came straight from the hospital with their newborns to come and eat. They still had their hospital bracelets on. Even in the winter. I think this kind of common sense parenting is being lost. Mostly because people now do not want to listen to the older generation. I stayed at home with my little ones also who are now almost adults. They never had any of the "normal" childhood illnesses like strep of ear infections. You do an amazing job with your kids.

I can make meatloaf
I can make eggs
And I can make grilled cheese okay it doesn't always turn out good sometimes it does and sometimes the AC doesn't turn out good to so but the best thing I'm good at making is probably meatloaf
I love that you make it a point to step back and encourage your children's hobbies! My mom was the type of parent that was very low noise and no mess demanding so we werent allowed to experiment with much especially not in the kitchen. 😂😂

My daughters are 36 and 30 yo. They are both trained cooks and pastry chefs. They got the love of cooking from spending time in the kitchen with me. Cooking, measuring and baking is great fun and teaches patience. Great skills to have and very impressive!

Did you see me pregnant? I was tired and out of breath a lot. 🤪. We all have our hard parts and easier parts. ❤️. But I’ve also had a lot of practice with babies which helps with the relaxedness. 🤣
Ya me too! Since I had my 4th, my hormones do a number on me so I get wicked migraines DAILY after giving birth for like 2 weeks. And I also swell up afterwards pretty bad (always get my bp checked and it’s not that). And if hey give me pitocen after to prevent hemorrhaging I get bad cramps too! I’m a mess! But She looks so good!!!!

I’m so thrilled to see what the kids make. So nostalgic for me. I grew up with so much fun baking and cooking around Christmas and I don’t live close to home and my in-laws don’t do so much just tamales so please give the camera to the kids and let them film their holiday cooking and foods.

I love Aldi’s dried fruit! I also love zucchini in place of noodles, I made some chicken Parmesan in my air fryer a few weeks ago and served it over the zucchini! Soo yummy! I feel you on the holiday baking but I try to remind myself that Christmas only comes once a year so having a cookie or two when my kid (I only have a 12 year old) wants to bake, it’s okay to eat a cookie with him! Your children are very well mannered and absolutely beautiful, you guys are extremely blessed! I also admire your patience, my son drives me nuts at times. I’m a disabled mom to a kid with aspergers so it can be very challenging but I love him more than life itself so I have faith it’ll work out if we just keep pushing through! Firstly, stores are required to pull recalled produce from the shelves. Secondly, I'm confused by the comments here, yes the recalled romaine was grown in Salinas, CA. But it was distributed to 23 states. There have been reported sicknesses all over the country. Cassie the romaine contaminated was grown in Salinas, so it’s the only one being recalled even though it is shipped all over the country to different stores. But romaine grown in sayyy Washington being served in stores right now is still okay because it was not grown at the contaminated farm

My friend's boss told me many years ago that garlic is so good for your heart.
It is. My grandpa on mom's side (and father of 10) had a heart condition and almost bathed in the stuff. That and dark chocolate are good for the heart. He got the absolute *darkest* you can get and Belgium, where I am from, is known for its good chocolate.
