Canadian actor LAYSLA DE OLIVEIRA sits for an interview to chat about Taylor Sheridan's newest drama, SPECIAL OPS: LIONESS. The show yet another explosive drama from the man who brought us YELLOWSTONE, TULSA KING and MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN, and of course features a plethora of amazing and strong female characters.

SPECIAL OPS: LIONESS follows the story of Joe (Zoe Saldaña), who attempts to balance her personal and professional life as the tip of the spear in the CIA's war on terror. She enlists Cruz (De Oliveira), a Marine Raider, as an undercover operative in the Lioness Program to infiltrate terrorist organizations.
The show stars Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Michael Kelly, Jill Wagner, James Jordan, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett and Morgan Freeman.
DE OLIVERIA plays Cruz Manuelo in #specialopslioness - a former victim of abuse who decides to take her life into her own hands. She joins the Marines, and eventually becomes top of her class. There, she is recruited by the top secret and dangerous Lioness Program.
During the #interview, De Oliveira talks about how her parents have influenced her role as the tough-as-nails Manuelo, what it's like to join the pantheon of strong Sheridan female characters, and working with Sheridan, Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña.

Don’t disagree at all. I doubt even Zoe would disagree. I think it’s just the fact that Saldaña is a producer and a much more recognizable name that she gets too billing.
