Its the case for all of them. Kaidos crew is literally 3x everyone elses size. Makes it more impressive people that small are over powering people that much bigger. They already have strength disadvantage on size alone and you have to be strong af to knock around anything that much bigger and heavier than you.

The scoring for this segment was absolutely perfect. The overwhelming power of King coming through in the strings, and Zoro’s motif on the shakuhachi cutting through the top of the mix, both eventually playing his tune to signify his victory. What a great scene.
It's actually nuts that the Wano arc is really the first time we see Zoro go all out post time-skip. He kinda did vs Pica but even then he wasn't even sweating when he was done. We had pretty much a 600 episode wait to see what his training really did for him
he did NOT went all out on pica, pica just had a troublesome akuma no mi to deal with, the moment zoro got to know exactly where pica was, he one shotted him like it was nothing

idk how people liked the animation for this episode in particular. The fight was just beams of light for nearly half of it. Zoro looks like he’s trying to swim going for his final attack on king. It felt hard to stay engaged with the fight when you couldn’t tell what was going on in it half the time.
If you think about how massive King's attack is compared to Zoro's size, just one man lasering through everything in a marathon of minutes to the peak. Best part.
coolest antagonists sure, but I still think katakuri is cooler. And crazy to think katakuri would destroy king if they fought because katakuri observation haki. Most people would think king is stronger, but no because the right hand of yonko's must be strong enough to fight other yonko right hand men and katakuri is big mom strongest son

One of the best fights ever, this episode was one of best. Zoro just looks awesome and the red glow in is eye and with the green flames to boost like he was some sort of demon is so cool you can't look away for a second. The movements, the sound, the drawings, the intensity... this episode was the perfect 10/10.
The score in this fight is heavily underrated, like just take a second to listen how beautiful and impactful it is. The incorporation of Zoro’s theme is also an amazing touch. It makes the fight feel 10x more intense. This mixed with the voice acting and animation is truly amazing.
Yeah man, the OST is completely absurd, the orchestra is just this talented The animation mixed with this absurd soundtrack makes this fight more special than Luffy vs Kaido for me, but I love how they made gear 5 too Gear 5 and this fight were 10 out of 10, they done the impossible
It literally took Zoro over 1000 episodes to get to this level. Whoever criticizes the animation has zero consideration of the journey. Easily in the top 3 of the best animated episodes of the whole anime.
Literally the coolest, and best looking scene of anime of my entire life.... Soon as king initiated his finally attack Zoro looks up like he's seeing some catastrophic event happening like a meteor or tornado... All the different dragons trying to hit Zoro energy literally spewing from king who's giving his dying will in each attack then shoots a giant dragon.... And the last one was a kamikaze attack... His last shot... Just crazy yeo ...chills....

I was 14 when I first saw zoro got defeated against mihawk.. now I'm 27 watching zoro being king of HELL 🔥 more than a thousand episodes gone to reach this level. what an emotional & epic moment

I really like the unspoken thematic undercurrents of this fight, where they're in the same position. Epically powerful number 2s who in their own right deserve the power and prestige of a captain or a conqueror- but Zoro 'deserves' it more because he has his own ambition and his own dreams beyond just that of his captain, hence why he has ACOC and King doesn't. King's attacks are literally just fiery simulacra of Kaido, he lost this fight and he doesn't have conq haki because he's totally subordinated himself to his captain, compared to Zoro who follows his own dreams and still wants to be a conqueror, achieving glory independently of his captain. King's will is deeply restrained, and with it his power in the world of One Piece where will IS strength- while Zoro's is boundless and sky high. The One Piece world rewards the most ambitious, childish, gutsy dreamers, and punishes people who give up, hide their dreams, or refuse to even have dreams of their own. Who knows what King's ceiling could be if he had more ambition. He probably could have been a Yonko in his own right, but that would require a totally different timeline where he doesn't get captured by the WG and doesn't get rescued by Kaido.
Well considering that he's a lunarian if king actually had similar ambition to zoro he'd be a top 3 strongest character. He already has broken abilities. Like his defense is damn near unbreakable

The Zoro v King fight does stand out in its own way because unlike the other battles, it’s not a matter of who’s right or wrong, it’s a fight between two right-hand men who will do whatever it takes to help their respective captain reach his end goal Much respect to both of them!
This Animation is insane.. I already watched it 20 times. Goosebumps everytime. King did everything he could to win and yet his will was not stronger than Zoro's and that's exactly why he lost. I like how this fight is the complete opposite of Sanji and Queen. Sanji and Queen was about an emotional battle Zoro and King was about two guys proving why they are the right hand men of their captains
King fought for someone else, Kaido, while Zoro used his own determination to become the Greatest which is what Enma was testing him for. Zoro's will was twofold both for Luffy and for his own ambition. Right as King gets defeated we get a flashback with him saying "I don't wish for anything anymore".
Major props to the music designer for this scene, fire. who ever was shredding it on the flute or whatever that instrument was was absolutely killing it and made the scene so much better.
It doesn’t feel like king fully knows his own power the same way Zoro does. I think it’s not that zoro is outright stronger than King but judging from the story so far, it seems like he has a lot more battle experience and knowledge due to his training and fights up until now. I think that’s what sets them apart and is the reason for why Zoro’s will is stronger than King’s will. Zoro wants to become the strongest swordsman/king of hell alongside helping Luffy, but King has no personal goal of his own other than to serve Kaido.
Well said I could seriously this as the case. Zoro has been declaring war with the world beside Luffy, he’s trained by the world’s greatest swordsman, and has the inherited will of Ryuma. If King had this type of journey development, im sure he’d be more powerful too.
yes not just that but also i believe its because his race is so strong that he underestimates how much he should really try. Zoro started with nothing but ambition and was able to climb while king started with crazy powers and durability which supported his strength.
This episode was once again evidence for why you should never underestimate One Piece, especially the fights. This animation, the smooth movements, the sounds, everything was beyond awesome. This is definitely among my favourite OP episode of all time, even above the previous one.

Zoro was so RAW this episode also I really like how the anime added more personality to king bro was just as determined as zoro to win amazing fight
but he didn't have his own ambitions unlike zoro who wants to be the best swordsman. maybe that's why zoro defeated him
The score in this fight is heavily underrated, like just take a second to listen how beautiful and impactful it is. The incorporation of Zoro’s theme is also an amazing touch. It makes the fight feel 10x more intense. This mixed with the voice acting and animation is truly amazing.

Literally the coolest, and best looking scene of anime of my entire life.... Soon as king initiated his finally attack Zoro looks up like he's seeing some catastrophic event happening like a meteor or tornado... All the different dragons trying to hit Zoro energy literally spewing from king who's giving his dying will in each attack then shoots a giant dragon.... And the last one was a kamikaze attack... His last shot... Just crazy yeo ...chills....

I really like the unspoken thematic undercurrents of this fight, where they're in the same position. Epically powerful number 2s who in their own right deserve the power and prestige of a captain or a conqueror- but Zoro 'deserves' it more because he has his own ambition and his own dreams beyond just that of his captain, hence why he has ACOC and King doesn't. King's attacks are literally just fiery simulacra of Kaido, he lost this fight and he doesn't have conq haki because he's totally subordinated himself to his captain, compared to Zoro who follows his own dreams and still wants to be a conqueror, achieving glory independently of his captain. King's will is deeply restrained, and with it his power in the world of One Piece where will IS strength- while Zoro's is boundless and sky high. The One Piece world rewards the most ambitious, childish, gutsy dreamers, and punishes people who give up, hide their dreams, or refuse to even have dreams of their own.
Who knows what King's ceiling could be if he had more ambition. He probably could have been a Yonko in his own right, but that would require a totally different timeline where he doesn't get captured by the WG and doesn't get rescued by Kaido.
Well considering that he's a lunarian if king actually had similar ambition to zoro he'd be a top 3 strongest character. He already has broken abilities. Like his defense is damn near unbreakable

The Zoro v King fight does stand out in its own way because unlike the other battles, it’s not a matter of who’s right or wrong, it’s a fight between two right-hand men who will do whatever it takes to help their respective captain reach his end goal

Sanji and Queen was about an emotional battle
Zoro and King was about two guys proving why they are the right hand men of their captains
King fought for someone else, Kaido, while Zoro used his own determination to become the Greatest which is what Enma was testing him for. Zoro's will was twofold both for Luffy and for his own ambition. Right as King gets defeated we get a flashback with him saying "I don't wish for anything anymore".
Feels like Kaido lost his way a bit as opposed to when he rescued Alber from Punk Hazard.

It doesn’t feel like king fully knows his own power the same way Zoro does. I think it’s not that zoro is outright stronger than King but judging from the story so far, it seems like he has a lot more battle experience and knowledge due to his training and fights up until now. I think that’s what sets them apart and is the reason for why Zoro’s will is stronger than King’s will. Zoro wants to become the strongest swordsman/king of hell alongside helping Luffy, but King has no personal goal of his own other than to serve Kaido.
