"You Are My Anchor" is based on Psalm 27, which is quite the encouraging read if you know God as your father. This virtual choir version was brought to life by 150 singers and ASL interpreters from 37 countries. They had only 7 days to learn, record, and upload their performance (and I had less than 2 weeks to edit everything together). This is the first of three smaller ("pop-up") projects to finish off 2020. Instrumental accompaniment provided by me - just a simple arrangement representing how I might lead this song with a congregation.

There is so much peace flowing through me when listening to this.
Sometimes it's Spirit-breathed. A lot of work goes into the piece, but then the Spirit just moves and takes it to the next level in order to bless and encourage many. God is so good. :-)

Dear David, when I first became aware of these virtual choirs, I watched them as "entertainment", but now I clearly see this is a real ministry. I believe that every selection of songs are Holy Spirit inspired to meet the need of that particular moment in time. I have a deepened appreciation for the way you are using your God given talent and your time. Thank you for being obedient to the Lord's will and not your own. As someone with your caliber of talent and skill could have funneled it in many other ways other than glorifying Christ. Please keep up the excellent work you are putting out. I know that our Father in heaven is smiling upon you and saying," I am well pleased. You are uniting the Body of Christ in an amazing and creative way. So cool! May God bless and keep you in all that you put your hand to.

@@NavyJonesMusicShorts Not much, just a bit. but I have been in choirs and recordings and been around people who would record and mix. 😊
@@abbylx Fair enough. :-) I think it's definitely an under-appreciated skill. Often when people hear a good song, they comment on the musicians, but typically there's a producer working tirelessly behind the scenes, really bringing the sound to life and giving it the polished clear quality it needs. I do my own recording, but have another guy mix my stuff as it's beyond me.
Some really stunning harmonies here. The mix of voices is so beautifully done, I just sit back and soak it up. Well done David and all of you.
