I don't envy her job. There's a reason I'm not on social media like Twatter, Fakebook, or others like it. I value my sanity and peace of mind. The article mentions covering disasters, but also applies to crisis', and virtually all other instances. "Even in crises, journalists have a responsibility to their audiences to gather news objectively & to report facts."
If you watched the video, you should have noticed that none of the posts, that criticized her, showed what she posted that brought about the criticism. That hardly fits the definition of "objectively".
It goes on to state that "news organizations must use caution to avoid blurring the lines between being a participant and being an objective observer." This story does not do that; it does the exact opposite.

Of people who feel it is ok to say anything on social media in the hope it will upset certain readers.
