I partnered with Habitat to get a house and that day has come! .. well almost lol but I have the keys now.
This video is super long. I put my part(getting the keys) in the front so that you didn't have to watch all the boring stuff but it was important to me to include all the people who have donated to habitat to make this all happen!

Congratulations on your home! We have been in our home for about 2 years now. Some times I still can’t believe it. It’s a wonderful feeling to finish the hrs and make it to that dedication/key ceremony. So exciting!!!

yes-they would expect you to find care for them. I have a child with autism and was told to find care for them. Your time is required or they will not work with you.
Are your children required to be there for the dedication? My son has autism, and this is far too many people and he would have a meltdown.
Congratulations. I just applied for one in my city. I haven’t heard back but they did cash the check for the credit check. How long after filling out the application will you hear from them?
It was over a year I think. But once they called the application process went pretty quickly after that
