Thank you, this was all pretty easy to adapt to my situation. Did a repair for less than $100 that would have cost me hundreds if I had hired someone to do it. Very clear with the jig, so the keys look really even. You left nothing out.
pretty weird to find a channel called "the fife life" where I live in a place in Scotland called fife, anyway thanks for this video this is going to help my piano restoration project
Hi Jennica! I think it depend on how much came out with it. If it is big, then yes wood filler would help even it out. If it is small, it probably won't make a difference. Good luck!
Thanks I have a piano that I also got off from Craig's list. It worked great till kids came along. Now need to fix some keys..Groovesteen and Fuler 1885.
Thank you for this video! My friend and I are going to do this project with an old piano I just received. I just had the piano tuned, do you think I will need to have it tuned after the project? Thanks so much!!
Hi Tessa! Best of luck with refurbishing your piano! You'll have to let us how it goes! Depending on how old the piano is, I would assume it would be good to tune it up again after the project is complete. If you are wanting to do it yourself, this is the tuning kit that we have found useful in tuning up our piano. amzn.to/3jzg6Pb Good luck!!
Thanks so much, Heidi! We bought a tuner off Amazon and STILL need to tune it but surprisingly it isn't crazy out of tune....meaning it is still playable. but definitely on our list of things to do still!
Hello Sir, Fantastic result of your piano tops fitting. Do the both sides of the key tops need to be level with the wooden keys or they can overhang a little bit? Thank you Sir.
Hi Artur! There is a little bit of wiggle room, so some overhang is okay but if there is too much the keys will catch and they will need to be filed down. If there is overhang, just split the difference so it is equal on both sides. Let us know how it works for you! Good luck!
Thanks so much for watching! We used this Piano Key Replacement set from Amazon: amzn.to/39nIeyB and then this glue: amzn.to/2WGf8Yl Let us know if you have any other questions! Good luck with your piano project! :)

What do you do if when taking off the white key top, I little bit of some wood comes with it. Would you add wood filler to even it out?
Hi Jennica! I think it depend on how much came out with it. If it is big, then yes wood filler would help even it out. If it is small, it probably won't make a difference. Good luck!
