Beautiful gals. Yeah, and nice music too. Dead at 41. Eddy, why? I remember it well. He was just trying to make a come back after WWII. Yeah, he came back and times and music tastes changed. But his new orchestra was the best ever. Only 41. RIP Gad! I am sad all over again.
'PROBABLY RECORDED AT THE GLEN ISLAND CASINO IN 1933, EDDY DUCHIN'S ORCHESTRA WAS THE EPITOME OF ELEGENCE AND ROMANCE REMEMBERED ALMOST NINETY YEARS LATER.
Just right for winding down after a hard day and sipping a glass of red wine. I am sure I remember this tune being used in an old early 30s Popeye cartoon, which they used to show over here in the 1950s on the telly.
Recorded on December 1, 1933, and originally introduced by Art Jarrett in the Paramount picture, "Sitting Pretty". In 1934, Max Fleischer used it to great effect in a Popeye cartoon of the same name...
Oh yes. Olive Oyl sleep walking across the swinging steel beams on a construction site while Popeye and Bluto fight and try to rescue her to the music of this song.
Really enjoyable - Thank you
Amazing song amazing artist makes me cry

One of Eddy's biggest hits--died way too young. RIP.

@Bigband78 I was referring to the place, which later became Tavern on the Green, and sadly, was recently closed.
@muscleco ,I remember seeing Fats Waller in some old cartoons
I think they played a version of this song in "The Green Mile". I
