    Okay but who asked and why do you think we even care, Michael?

    I disagree with Michael saying that "too much track record of good" is enough to retain Cashman. That track record is ancient history. Cashman's track record over the last half decade has been unacceptable. The lineup is horrible because of his decisions:
    He chose Giancarlo Stanton over Manny Machado and/or Bryce Harper.
    He refused to even entertain trading Peraza or Volpe for Matt Olson and stuck with an aging Rizzo who has a bad back.
    His genius move of the 2021-2022 offseason was to trade for Donaldson and IKF.
    He traded for Frankie Montas who was injured.
    He signed Carlos Rodon when the guy also already had a bad back.

      I can't fucking believe they went with Rizzo instead of Freeman or Olson... fucking dumbasses.

    • @41Brother2
      @41Brother2 Рік тому +1

      @patleftrightalliance And to lock Rizzo up for a few years to. And I like Rizzo, good guy, solid player when healthy but he's looking to be a bad contract on a team with too many of em. Stanton, DJ, Rodón, and in a few years if they still haven't won, then Judge and Cole will begin to make them look really bad

    • @Baseballnfj
      @Baseballnfj Рік тому +1

      @41Brother2 it's just not the same tier of player. With that porch they need a big , steady, durable left handed 30-40 HR first baseman... They have always had that in successful (relatively) recent times. That had Texiera in 09... Giambi before that... Tino before that...
      It's been a revolving door out there since Texiera. And boy... do we miss him. It's sick the production we got from Texiera until the very end and even more glaring now that we have NO first baseman.
      solid numbers during the latter part of his career. In his second to last season In 2015, he hit 31 home runs with 79 RBI in just 111 games for a wRC+ of 143. He was injured a lot... and I wouldn't exactly call him durable but....
      I mean...... can you imagine that production from Rizzo in 111 games? Texiera was a Freddy Freeman/Olson caliber player.

    • @41Brother2
      @41Brother2 Рік тому

      @@Baseballnfj Bird was supposed to be that but sadly injuries killed his career. Then they got Voit who I liked but he was too injury prone and another plodding righty. But yeah Tino, Giambi and Tex and they thought they would get that out of Rizzo but unfortunately just not the case. A short porch that's just a wet dream for a left-handed hitter and they don't go and get any???? Forget just a 1B but A lefty bat in general, Freeman, Olsen, Soto, Harper, Ohtani.....and they got nothing.....what a waste

    The idea that Cashman would get a job somewhere else doesn’t matter at all. We don’t care. The point is that we don’t want him running this team because he has outdated thinking and poor management skills.

  • @etamommy
    @etamommy Рік тому +4

    Michael who cares if cashman would get a job or not if yanks dismiss him!?! He has not been good for the Yankees if you go by their stated goal of getting to the WS! Lofty goal sure but why put it out there if the vaunted pinstriped team no longer seriously has this aspiration? Is it arrogant - sure- is it lofty of course but in days of yore this team seriously was run with that goal. Now, not so much. We need MYGA
    Hats or shirts or something.

    • @41Brother2
      @41Brother2 Рік тому +1

      Part of me honestly wants them to do away with that goal, that "Championship or bust" mission statement. "Win the championship every year or it's a failure." I'm not saying don't have championship aspirations or that winning one isnt important, it is, but enough of calling a season a failure for not winning a championship. This season is an absolute failure. Gonna finish under .500, fail to make the playoffs, colossal failure. But making the playoffs, winning the division, advance past the division series, even win a pennant but fail to win a championship aren't failures to me. Disappointments, yes, but not failures. Finishing last and being among teams like the Pirates and the A's and the Royals, losing 90 to 100 games a season, those i would call failed seasons.
      If this team wants to seriously live by that mission statement then they need to step up and show it. They have those lofty goals then they better deliver. Otherwise it's time to change the mission statement to something more realistic but unfortunately because of the history and the fan culture they've created, their fan base won't stand for it. Yanks have permanently got themselves into a corner they can't get out of. Damned if they do, damned if they don't

    Team needs a direction and to stick to it. If your goal is to be an immediate contender next year then you open up the checkbook even more and sign a Bellinger, cardelario, best starters you can, offer ohtani a kings ransom and you trade your young pieces for better offense behind the plate. But if your looking to go young than you go with every young guy you can and ride it out.

    How can analydicks not include your best hitter, and homerun hitter, batting cleanup? The object is to drive in runs, especially with runners on base, with someone like Judge, who just finished hitting a whopping 62 dingers last year! He hit 52 his rookie year! Yet I don't remember him ever batting fourth for the Yanks in his entire career!!!
