Had a e92 n54 I financed it and was a terrible idea, going to purchase one next month BUT… I am debating to build a motor before getting one and hold off with a 22re Toyota
you said its a low compression head gasket, but you also have low compression je pistons. which is it? you don't run both or it would be like 7 to 1 ? its a standard cut ring and 9.5 to 1 compression je pistons ? im running a cut ring and 9 to 1 pistons on my s52
In this video I’m not running a cutring gasket. I’m running the thicker Oem head gasket, theres no such thing as low compression head gasket lol. A thicker head gasket causes lower compression numbers.
@@bobbyz23 you said that “it’s not right that my compression is 150” yes because I’m running low compression pistons. Standard Oem pistons should have a compression of 175-190.
2007, n54 makes more power and is a more stronger motor, but everything around the motor is less reliable. N55 is reliable but makes less power, but also gets unreliable as you try to make more power. So idk you choose lol
the build is fucking sick dude, I love that you keep the outside OEM as well

Help up for 10k miles then I sold it with the kit
So instead of your oil filter cap you have a sort of breather valve? Is it to prevent excessive crankcase pressure from the PCV system?
Yes
What shifter is that? Clean build

What's normal compression for a 2009 535i? Some people say 180 but seeing yours that's not right if you got a PSI of 150.
Low compression pistons
@@941garage I was asking what is the correct compression for a 2009 BMW 535!.You replied Low compression pistons what? lol

What year is your 335i and should I realistically go for n54 or n55?

150 is normal my build motor reads the same.
