Wow, always new stuff to learn about, I'd never encountered Pianoteq! I think audio modeling is the way to go, I've been playing with SWAM instruments like sax, thanks for sharing this description! I need to check this out. Thank you too for sharing sheet music for your short! (Classic progression!)
Pianoteq is my most used piano VST too. I don't have as many additional pianos as you but really like the ones I have purchased. Currently I have been using the Grand Steingraeber the most. I really like how you can demo all of their pianos, though with a time limit and a few missing keys. Before I always used NI's Alica's Keys or Noire which are good but I still prefer the customization you can do with Pianoteq.
Pianoteq sounds intriguing. I love audio modeling software that reproduces the subtle quirks and character of an instrument. I noticed your musical short contains several slash chords... I wouldn't mind seeing a video on slash chords someday. What are the "rules" for using slash chord? Is the idea to separate the bass line from the normal diatonic chords?
Interesting presentation of Pianoteq. But if you allow me, the recording following it was without any dynamics and unpleasant to listen to. I am sure that you can do better than that using Pianoteq… (Not that important, but the k-series are Kawai uprights, not Yamaha 😀)
thank you yes.. good points, that's a Finale file performance. NO dynamics. check out the actual short for a dynamic and more nuanced live performance. ua-cam.com/users/shortsPNz0NWvvPFk?feature=shared

I love Pianoteq! Because there are no samples it runs on iPad. I use it to accompany my choir. 😀
thanks for the sheet music, i look foward to learning to play that little piece and seeing what I can do with the techniques you show :)

@@ImpliedMusicaaah, that’s much better, thank you! Although I don’t understand why this piano is out of tune 😂. To much realism for me 😉
