Same here. Was trying to find an automatic alternative for my Creta. Test drove the Grand Vitara, Seltos turbo. Also checked the Toyota Hyryder. The entire day was over and it was above 6 PM Ist. But the Kia showroom executive mentioned that the Skoda sales manager is his friend and insisted that I try the Skoda showroom even after it got closed. Thanks to God, he made me to give it a try. When i had a walk through, it felt small when compared with my Creta 2.0. But after i started the drive, a smile started to slowly appear on my face. My tiredness from all the other test drives and enquiries, started to fade away. I wanted to push the car further, wanted more and more to drive it. Didn't feel like closing the test drive at all !! You just have to cross the 1.5k RPM mark, and that's it. The engine will pull you till you want no more 😊 it will just keep on climbing interms of speed and that too in a very steep manner !! Mind you, i am talking about 1.0 TSI AT ( TC) combo. Not the 1.5 TSI DSG combo. Bought the Skoda the next day. Thats it. End of convo. No more test drives were needed. Still the Skoda puts a smile on my face everytime i pull it out for a drive on the highways. Its high-speed mannerisms, its noise isolation and the sheer power the small engine packs is more than justifying the price premium it demands over the competition.
Suspension & AC is great in Hyryder . I’m fine with low power engine as I want more fuel economy (I did own BMW 328i turbocharge before). Hence I go with awesome ride quality that is Hyryder!
KKC Bro, Last time u suggested Ford Figo 1.5 Diesel, That was very nice experience with me. That was rocket, drive loving car with no stupid things. This time i will love to check Seltos too. U r a gem man, but surprisingly your view are less.
@@anandbasi6948 Thanks for your kind words and appreciation. Good to know you enjoyed the Figo D too. Seltos is a great car in its category and the face-lift has made it even better, hence you can surely consider it.
I own Kushaq 1.5 TSI style Manual and its faster than the current Seltos turbo variant which is 160HP with 260NM torque(Kushaq is 150HP with 250NM torque). I think the 1.5 TSI engine obtained from the Karoq with active cylinder technology is the charm, the engine feels smooth because of 4 cylinder, its powerful due to TSI and also gives best in class milage, I have obtained as high as 22kmpl on the highway in Skoda 1.5 manual and 17kmpl in the city. It so smartly shuts down two cylinders whenever the ECB comes to know that the car is driving slowly on low gears from past few minutes or hour.
Im own 1.0L Kushaq AT. And i agree with your review on VFM and Compromised interior quality. But the only reason for buying Kushaq is the safety rating and the solid ride quality. Surprisingly this 1.0L Engine will get you great mileage if driven under 2000 RPM in long drives. Sound quality is not upto the mark. But for me , Safety and spacicous leg room are more important
Thanks Pathik, Safety was not included as the HyRyder is still unrated. Also for some folk safety is the most important part, they will ignore everything and just buy the safest car. Even if we included safety and gave 1 point each to seltos and hyryder and gave Kushaq full 3 points still the winners wouldnt have changed.
@@KKCOnAMotive yeah, and later I realised that this was more about your ownership experience and not about on paper specifications. And no one can "experience" safety rating and that too in all cars 😜

Ran 52K till now and lately changed from Michelin to Conti UC6 same profile. Replaced stock tryes within 80kms in the beginning.

I own the seltos Gtx diesel AT, i had the same problem as your mentioned that the suspension setup was on a harder side. I changed all the 4 jumpers, and fitted which we get in new Creta. The ride has become 30% Softner as compared to the previous one. Both the companies Kia and Hyundai use the same suspension setup for seltos as well as creta. Just that the Hyundai jumpers are towards the softer side.
