@@SadisticKillerXx Yes, these early Wintersun performances aren't perfect. The post-Time I tours were great, and after Jari stopped playing guitar live to focus on singing, they've been cleaner than ever. Kinda strange watching these old performances.
Yep, they're definitely one of the best metal bands around and their music is unparalleled. Jari is a great composer as well as guitar player. Teemu is a great composer too and great gutiar player, according to Jari, Teemu is better than him! Teemu was only 18 in this video, brutal. Jukka is one of the bests too, and Kai also. It's really beautiful what they have created in music. Edit 1 year later: they're about to release 'The Forest Seasons' now. They all showed their determination to all fans. 50 euros for 1 full album, 2 remastered albums and 1 full live album (all tracks mastered), 1pcs of 5K booklet (36 pages), isolated tracks for each instrument, and other perks. Strange, but I've never gave up my hope on them, never gave up hope for new album. I've known - understood - Jari's and the band's intentions from the very beginning, and now here you go. I've never had any doubts. Have you?
Ádám Vécsey my only issue with the band is that the songs on the forest seasons felt like they should have been about 6-7 mins long each. They weren't progressive enough for 10 mins +. Still love Wintersun though
And this one is still my favorite live performance by Wintersun! The sound of the instruments isn't so processed like now days and I kinda like that backing tracks isn't as big a part on these first albums songs as it is in "newer" songs. But although I like newer live performances too, this one is just so awesome!
Jari’s guitar looks funny but I wouldn’t say that to his face lol. Amazing band and it’s really awesome that they are still together and making music.. wish I could say that for Alexi Laiho. Such amazing talent 🤘🏼
For ya'll who are confused with Teemu's age: - Teemu: 07/01/1987 - Summer Breeze 2005 (Day 2): 19/08/2005 = 18 years, 7 months, 12 days (or 6'799 days, whatever you prefer).
It's endearing to have these young boys attempting to play this legendary album live. So many fuckups, but it's all ok. Today they're obviously much competent artists
Patralgan I think the reason was that they couldn't fit it in the setlist. They had already played the song in Tuska 2005 where they had ~10 minutes longer setlist (and Starchild was the only difference).
Intro to Winter Madness that was removed for the debut album but appeared on the demo. He added it back on the remastered version of Wintersun (album) called Wintersun 2.0 after like 18 years.
2024 and they just said Time 2 is done :D But this is still so epic. I remember bying it when it came out. Jeezzz. Almost 20 years ago.
It's 2023 and this live video is still epic!
It is so great to see Jari playing guitar and Kai on drums!
Haha damn Teemu is literally a teenager in this
Just double-checked the same. No wonder he became a beast with guitar, given he grew up with Wintersun.
i can't believe teemu is 18 in this video.
lmao, he is 28 in this one
sry, I meant you were talking about Jari
Nope. He was 23
Eemil Hilden are you serious?
Metal Head4 yeap
27:20 Who would have thought that one day this outro would turn into Ominous Clouds!
It didn't? It's the outro of Beautiful Death.
Teemu was like 17 years old on this!
That solo in Winter Madness...
My god they are so clean live.
+Sean Conklin I heard many mistakes, but still awesome :D

@@sat8959 I cant even play guitar like that. Imagine playing that and singing at the same time....
Absolutely glorious
Kai and Jukka in Nightwish now, Teemu in Megadeth.. I hope to see Wintersun someday live

Teemu was 23 at this video
@@eemilhilden4202 He was born in Tampere, Finland, in 1987. I took it from Wiki
Happy Time II is on the way?

Great..!! One of the best Band in the scene..
Very very good..
Battle against time and sleeping stars, my favorite songs...
Which is a good thing, he's been with with Wintersun from the beginning. He's getting better with age.
Beautiful Death is so epic
they're one of my best favorite bands.
かっこよすぎかよ!!!
i love that Jackson he has
magnifico
Wintersun: basically if Emperor was power metal. I dig!
Antipopmusick haha never thought about that

I'm totally in love with how splash cymbals sound! :)
One of the best band ever
I just love them. Waitining for Time II !!
The wait is over : D
One of my favorite bands for the past few years. Epic musicianship! I can't wait to see them live.

Beautiful Death was incredible!
WE ARE WINTERSAUNA
I like.
It's endearing to have these young boys attempting to play this legendary album live. So many fuckups, but it's all ok. Today they're obviously much competent artists
i get to see 'em live December in Toronto!!!!! :D
This is orchestral version of Winter Madness! Listen to Winter Madness demo!
My first festival! Unfortunately I do not remember if I watched them. Starchild is definitely missing on the setlist.
M Mustermann maybe it was still too complex to be played live. Idk. This was their first year performing live
hmm.. i don' think so... the other songs are kind of the same level of complexity
Patralgan
I think the reason was that they couldn't fit it in the setlist. They had already played the song in Tuska 2005 where they had ~10 minutes longer setlist (and Starchild was the only difference).
''HEAVY'' is the word!
Ahh back when Jari actually played his guitar. Good times.
Helluva live band!!! Maybe one of the best in metal scene?
предпоследняя вещь Death and the Healing- самая классная в их репертуаре !!
KAI FUCKING HAHTOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
And in 2004, I sw Iron Maiden, Dio and Motorhead in San Diego and I didn't know this band. I know now.
Jukka 05年就给wintersun弹贝斯了哇
Очешуенно!
Ahh jaris green Jackson
@PvmiZLAMiCKz it's the demo for winter madness
I would kill to see them live ._.
+Lorelai Hale let's kill together.
They should play at Jaegermiester like TesseracT did. It would totally fit their style.
А если видео замедлить раза в полтора годный дум метал выходит!
i think it's "we'll see you!"
cheeky!
Jaris voice is fucking awesome live too
Time II D-53 😎
does he say "Brazil!" at the end of the show? if so HUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUE
Burton C Bell on drums.
19:57 Did he say "The latest and the least"? XD Propably a mistake, but still quite funny.
Whats the name of that symphonic intro?
Dimensional Archive its the melody of Winter Madness. \[T]/ praise the sun!

Fucking a!
