Bell’s feeling to Hestia and all gods/ goddesses can be summed up as admiration and worship. Anytime he does start to have feelings for Hestia he immediately suppresses it because to him, that’s not how he should be feeling towards divinity. In short, Hestia is goddess-zoned.
The book was more clear that the magic book was purposely left there by Freya because she knew Syr would give it to Bell, and she wanted him to become stronger. It was not a coincidence.
