  • This is my DJI Osmo Pocket Teardown and disassembly! Today we tear apart the Osmo Pocket and talk a bit about the components that make up the DJI Osmo Pocket as well as some of the features that it's processor has and capabilities that could be used in future versions of the DJI Osmo Pocket. Also, changing the battery yourself can void your warranty!

AGAIN great video thank you. We've seen these cameras extended for wired control with 15ft of usb-c cable. I wonder if the extra long length (300ft) corning cables can work too over that distance. Also, shame they didn't put a small clean HDMI out port on it.

@ Vantage Point Products thank you for watching! Interesting cable idea, and I agree an HDMI out source would be amazing, I would like to also see a native mic input, instead of an adapter that seems to be proprietary and has not been released yet.

😀Thank you so much....I just fixed a DJi Pocket 1 that had dropped off a car roof travelling at 40mph, it hit the deck and other cars ran over it....Once retrieved, it was no surprise to find it was dead....So after following your teardown, I found the three board connectors had popped off, once these were re-fitted the gimbal sparked into life at switch on....one of those very thin wires was trapped near the two screws and once released it all worked again....this is one heck of a robust unit!!!!.....Best wishes, Alan.

Can you do a teardown of the OSMO POCKET AUDIO adapter? I feel why DJI did not make its audio adapter similar to the USB C adapter that we can insert in the middle and keep the base for the wifi module. The best place for the audio adapter was that place in the centre of the Osmo Pocket. Also, can you make a video on the pin configuration of those 8 golden pins where the USB C adapter fits...

I wonder if anyone in this country can properly service the pocket to change the battery when the time comes. I keep reading other blogs saying that the battery is good for 400 charges which is kind of disappointing. The key to that may be not topping it off all the time. Did you by any chance see a small fan inside the Oslo Pocket when you took it apart?
This is supposed to be a solid state device yet if you but the base up to your ear when you power it on you hear something mechanical (like a small fan) on startup. When you power it down the mechanical sound remains on for about 7 seconds after the Osmo shuts down. Any clues?
BTW if you put the WiFi adapter on the unit it's much easier to hear this up against your ear.
