I mean, in the big picture, it's still relatively new, but it's a brilliant engine and probably should be legendary. We actually have two cars with it - my X5 and my wife's 440. Love it. And you can cruise on the HW getting damn good mileage on a roadtrip.
BMW designers have been desperately trying something new while being forced to keep the corporate grille in some form. In my opinion the classic BMW look is timeless.
I think it takes awhile for the third row seat to power fold because the second row seats will automatically power slide forward so it will not be in the way of the third row seat when it folds flat. Pretty cool. Wouldn’t want to own this thing once it’s a decade old though.
Nice job sofyan. I really think it's a better idea to pop the hood later in the video just before the driving scene. Reviewing the engine specs in the beginning makes one forget the numbers before the driving scene. GOOD JOB

They really messed up the look of the car for this generation. Front end is just plain Fugly. Functionality inside also went away. Not to mention complains with powertrain electrical errors popping up all the time. No thanks. I will take the previous generation any day.
Magazine times represent that absolute best time after multiple attempts with launch control, clutch dumping, or brake boosting. It would be useful for them to publish mean times along with standard deviation. It would give a picture of how consistent a car accelerates.
This is the vehicle BMW should have added the rear entertainment screen to. But I’m sure it’s coming in it’s second generation. I cross shoped this and the 750, but needed up with the 7 because I couldn’t find a M sport 50i X7.
Still a great luxury SUV, however I do not like the refresh fascia and that toggle gear shift is hideous. And it would be amazing if the X7 could come either the red leather
Won't concern the original owners because repairs will be under warranty. It will only bother subsequent owners who buy heavily depreciated luxury vehicles so they can try to impress people who they will never meet by driving a vehicle that they think makes them look rich.
B58 engine and ZF 8 have proven their reliability for a long, long time. You obviously never owned BMW nor could afford one. Just go back driving your Toyota. This vehicle is not for you 😂
We were just in a rented 2023 BMW X5 and though we loved it, we noticed that the backup camera was very dark. In a dark parking garage the camera was basically useless. At 12:30 in this video the camera looks dark as well. Is that a typical problem with BMW cameras? We have an E53 AMG Cabriolet and a GLC 300 and don't have any issues with cameras.
As a 2022 BMW X5 PHEV owner this new X7 exterior design is couple of step backwards. It looks like a Hyundai product, like a Palisade. The interior too with almost all functions now on the touch screen is a disaster. And don’t even talk about the horrible toggle shifter ! Everything is so backward on this. I wanted a X7 PHEV, but whatever reason, BMW doesn’t still offer it.

Digital rear view mirrors - problematic for farsighted people-who use reading glasses. The mirror screen is too close to you and prevents clear focus. A normal mirror allows infinite focus. Try it sometime.
The pre-refresh exterior & interior both look better, & the lack of physical buttons is a bad idea when this is going to be driven by parents dealing with kids of varying ages & preferences in this car
For the price tag on this vehicle, I'd rather have nicely integrated screens in dash instead of tablet style screens slapped on. Who started this cheap looking trend just maximize screen dimensions.
This is EXACTLY what I suspected. This vehicle is the 2nd best selling luxury 3 row DESPITE its not the biggest. Many reviewers penalize cars because they aren't the biggest but not everybody is looking for a bus! I often wonder why they do that.
I would expect a lot more from BMW. My 7 year old Hybrid sedan has about the same HP and Torque but weighs 1400 lbs. less, and gets way better MPG. Seem BMW is holding back on the Performance and the meaningful Hybrid technology. 2015 called, they want their powertrain back!

Their designers have not embraced the BMW legacy. They were always recognizable for a (smaller) kidney grill and double round headlights. These headlights are horrible and make it hard to distinguish from all other SUVs on the road. It’s sad to see them lose their way.
having test driven the 2024 X7 the lack of actual buttons for some basic/get started controls is very annoying - a couple knobs/buttons on a very cold morning to crank up heat/defrost, seat heaters without thinking vs taking off gloves to swipe screens would be NICE! ... great car but can tell designers are 20 somethings (or trying to be) ... everything doesn't have to be iPhone-like - maybe there is a reason Apple punted on auto business
I'd take this over a palisade any day. This X7 drives better, has better engine and interior and gets better gas mileage. I'd feel more safe too it wont get stolen.
Deleting any buttons and implementing them into the screen is all Cost Cutting Measures. A Hyundai Santa Fe Still gives you a Host of Buttons which cost money for eat piece of hardware. to have to dig deep in menus to do simple tasks is dangerous.
The AC system control is the worst one over the years. I am literally sweating in my X7, whereas I am ice-cold in my Lx570. I have had the 3 series 2008, the X5 2012, the X6 2016, now the X7 2023. The latest controls for ac control are so horrible vs. the older classic ac control systems. It's incredibly distracting, and you have no idea where the ac vents are pointing.
Hi. I'm really hesitating to get a new 2024 X7 due to A/C complaints. I feel that even on MAX A/C, the amount of air blown is very weak. Is this what you are referring to?
This car is not full Merino. You can tell from the pattern. But glad the sensafin is good enough to fool you 😊 I have the massage seats and do not recommend them. They are not as comfortable as the regular seats.
I love my x7 way better than the audi q7 its boring u can customize the gauges and the big heads up display but the bowers system is way better than the hk n u can get the crystal shifter its just smaller 😂😂
5400 lbs and 0-60 in 5.4 seconds, that B58 engine is legendary.
Sounds about right considering the car has AWD and 400+ crank hp/torque. Last gen and even this gen Escalade does 0-60 under 6 seconds.
A legendary and outdated gas-hog maybe. This car should be a 450 HP Hybrid getting 35 MPG.

Car and Driver tested 4.6 seconds for this…and Motortrend tested 4.8 seconds..which is great for a vehicle of this size, with the base engine.
4.6 is laughable. This thing weighs almost 3 tons. No way that number is accurate
