#BMW may have been late to the big SUV party, but they certainly made a huge splash when the #BMWX7 was introduced last year. About 10 inches longer than an X5, the 2020 #X7 has the luxury, space, tech, and presence that you come to expect from a flagship model, all while being more fun-to-drive than most of the competition. For 2020, BMW is introducing an #X7M50i with 523 HP or about 70 more HP over the #X7xDrive50i. If you are looking for one of the nicest SUV's money can buy, the 2020 BMW X7 should be at the top of your list.
Laser headlights are standard on the X7... Dr. Evil would be proud... ;)
But no heating seats as standard? This is unacceptable.
Online they only appear to be standard on the X7 M50i and not the 50i which only has LEDs
Dr. Evil will blind a lot of eyes of those that carry their high beams 24/7... wahahahahaha!
Do not do another evil laugh
God it was awful; awful funny 🤣🤣🤣
@@linkincr17 X7 has heated seats as standard.
Your videos just keep getting better and better, I remember your Honda Fit days... how time flies by. Love your content and will continue to be a loyal subscriber!
I test drove the X5 and the X7, They are both very similar to me.... they both have amazing handling and power. Ended up ordering a 2021 X7 m50i
BMW X7 = TWO THUMBS UP !!! Great Review, Sofyan Redline Reviews always a step above ! Cheers !
Nice, but my choice would be the Navigator.
Another detailed outstanding review, quite well done & very informative!
i never really realized how large the rear passenger doors are. damn.
Rolls Royce says Opulence. BMW says Soccer Mom with Money
More like soccer mom with debt.
Sander People in debt drive Toyota and Honda
@@anthonyr1930 Nah, it's the showoffs who spend every last penny and more on a fancy car. Toyotas and Hondas are for reasonable people who don't spend that much on rapidly depreciating assets.
Sander Not really. That’s become a stereotype for those that will never afford a high end vehicle.
TheMystro1971 Exactly.
these shades are the real story in this video!!! :-)
just bought one Saturday. been great so far. very quiet and comfortable

What a complete idiot too!!! He constantly uses opulent with luxurious. The two words image each other! They have the same meaning!!
My mom just got a new X7 and it’s incredible. The materials and finishings are unbelievable. I really feel like you would have to get a Bentley Bentayga or a Rolls Royce Cullinan to beat the luxury the X7 provides. BMW knocked it out of the park by making the most opulent SUV at this price point!

Them some grown man kidney's
wonder how much is it gonna depreciate after 5 years, 50000?
BMW's depreciate, roughly, 57% after 5 years. So, with that said, this SUV 5 years from now with 50,000 miles on it will be worth roughly 47 grand. If it's a CPO add 10% for a value of 51-52 grand
@@charlesyoung9980 no-- it depends on popularity and the economy: many such cars in the Land Rover and the other german brands like MB, do not even hold at that 43% of original, level-- and get into the 35%, and even maybe 30% by five years. For reference look at the top models of X5, i.e the rare ones, and top of Porsche Suv's , and of course MB
@@18_rabbit Yes. I work for Bobby Rahal BMW. I know the charts inside and out. The figures I quoted are actual bmw figures.

A brillant review! I own X7 50 I 2019 ...the biggest drawback of this car is no back seats massage whereas my own Mercedes 2008 has it!

Force it into a corner or quick maneuver at higher speed and you're doomed.
Beautiful luxurious new car!
As soon as I saw this, I clicked it right away
We’re looking at a 2020 BMW X7 xDrive40i, 28,000 miles. How’s the reliability on 2020+ X7’s specifically in xDrive40i form? Thanks.
You make the best car review videos out there.
Parked next to one in Canberra, capital of Australia, a few days. It was huge and the rear end design was quite nice. The rear passenger doors I noticed are massive. They even had a baby seat in the back. It was a Diplomates car so I wonder who the lucky nation was to purchase it for their representative to drive around in.
That BMW X7 AMAZES ME ALTHOUGH I WOULD GET THE M SERIES ENGINE WITH IT ALL THE WAY TURNED UP 👍👍👍👍
Feels like you just learned what the word opulence means...
I know... Said it 17 times.
And you learned it too. So this video is educational as well. So, be thankful and enjoy the review
Antti Valkama lmfao ^ this guy, ammirite???

If I was rich, I would choose between this and a Range for sure!
I own a Range and a BMW 750li. Both are awesome but I enjoy driving the Range more.
Love the redline ratings. You should do it for all the reviews
Just like BMW took their time making this SUV. I can tell you took your time making this review. Great work!
BMW is crushing it on every level. The tech, performance and build quality is stunning. No other German performance /luxo SUV sounds as as BMW’s V8TT.
I agree the massaging front seats should be standard with this vehicle
Pretty cool seeing Falls Church and 66 in your videos haha!
I don't think that they have to merge the two screens just because MB does it. A little variety is rather refreshing.
Looks exactly like a Honda Odyssey from the back.
I also noticed at the start of the night drive you turned right and didnt use your blinker, very bmw of you. lol
It's sad how ignorant they are
X7 is the king of the road. I'm lucky enough to have had one of the first few here in Australia, I took delivery of mine in July.
Mercedes GLS sure does look like a V class.
Same was one of the first to have it in Boston, U.S.A.
I drive the Range Rover. I think it's better.
Cary Coller my sister thinks so too. She loves her Range Rover
Idk why everyone cries about the interior being copied, why waste money on individual designs and make it more expensive for us when it’s beautiful as fuck
Keep up the amazing work brother!!!
I don't even want to know how much one of those laser headlights cost to replace
Overall, and for the money especially, the new X7 is the most impressive luxury suv, some minor design and proportions issues aside. Even regardless of price, BMW's first full size luxury suv is very impressive. For a first effort, it's amazing. It took other makers many years to get to where they are now with their luxo-barges. What Rolls Royce did with its first effort is also very impressive, even at 3 times the price, but the Cullinan is literally the Rolls Royce of suv's.
I agree with this kind fellow pertaining to the engine options on the X7 not found on the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade.
I think that they would give those SUVs the 3.3L twin turbo V6 option found in the Stinger and many of the Genesis products.
I think the two displays separated are a much better use of space than the big giant Mercedes screen with the obvious blind spot right in the middle
Drinking game idea: take a shot for every time Sofiyan says "opulent"
Or mention the massaging seats
Little error about changing lanes with the cruise active. It will change lanes automatically. Just hit the turn signal and it goes into the lane you've signaled if there is no other car there.
Thank you for driving this at night. Car reviewers tend to forget people also drive cars at night too 😂 Great review. Really like the interior.
You are right 👍🏾
I heard Genesis GV80 with 2 turbo engines choice are coming in 2020. I wonder how many people would step up from Telluride and Palisade. It would be interesting to see how they compete with Mers and BMW SUVs.
You should compare the BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS
Nice sunglasses, Max Headroom
Although BMW M X7 vs Mercedes GLS AMG 630 would be more apples to apple comparison, I don’t think BMW M X7 is happening for this G07 model. So, I would love to see 2020 BMW X7 M50i vs 2020 Mercedes GLS 580 review video. Thanks!
Goodness it sounds good
I built this BEAUTIFUL SUV!!! ♥️

1:08 one of the kidney is bigger than your head.
Yes, BMW went with whale kidneys for this one.
BMW has one big grill. Lasers are good.

Redline, you can't get the Two-Tone interior package with the premium package (In North America atleast) which is the biggest BS I've ever seen.
Why is North America the bibbert BS you‘ve ever seen?
@@Atook774 What? North America is not the "biggest BS I've ever seen". Re-read my sentence.

Great sounding V8. I guess that's why the tank is almost empty.
I thought RGB was only an obsession in PCs. But damn that looks good
If we’re talking about power train options in mid sized to large suvs all the mainstream Japanese and Korean cars like the palisade, telluride, pilot, passport, Highlander have na v6s. It would be nice if they added for example the 471 hp v8 from the lc500 to the highlander or the 3.3 turbo v6 from the stinger. It would bring some excitement to these otherwise rather boring 0-60 performance.
Wonder if Toyota can invent Lazer headlights, I've been thinking about how a used Camry of mine can get that feature if it is made from scratch?
Range Rover, thank you very much.
The night-time drive was cool. Nobody else is doing that on UA-cam vehicle reviews.
Awesome video! Can you please do a review video on 2020 X7 M50i? Thanks!
What's that watch you're wearing in this video?
Help. Should I get a used $34,000 2018 X3 with 18k miles, brand new Telluride S for $34,000 or a brand new Santa Fe SEL 2.0T for $34,000?????
Does it come in a quieter exhaust. Too loud for me. But other than that, I love it...
32:48. Don’t worry, he meant innovation
Is somebody on vacation? It's still summer in every video that comes out...
They probably filmed this months ago
How don't it automatically change lanes ??? My 2019 x5 has this feature!! When driving with the assistance mode turned on I push down the left signal and the car moves left automatically.
That's stupid. Just turn the wheel
@@Lucky8s
I am talking about the automatic lane change. Obviously we can turn the wheel with our hands. X7 is supposed to have that feature
@@Samiuddin98
I know what you're talking about. It's the dumbest "feature" I've ever heard. Like I said the first time, just use your hands.

I like the R.E.D.L.I.N.E. review numbers.
I think for the M models they should have red accent to the laser lights !!!
A kid hauler and grocery getter with white interior is a really dumb idea.
Sofyan, say opulent again lol. Great review as always!
Kinda surprised that there’s no LED interior map lighting inside. Looked halogen from the night drive.
MisterKyu, they are LED. BMW uses a warm color LED to reduce eye strain.
Great Review 👍🏾 Could you review a Range Rover Autobiography ?
I agree with your suggestion.
I’m a family of 4, which one would you say is more comfortable and has more space? The bmw x7 or the Benz gls 450?
Actually, the Range Rover. Get that.
I like it but a twin turbo v 8 that is only 6 more horses than the navigator's twin turbo v6
There things look so weird/ funny to me especially the rear. It sort of reminds me of the old Navigator also
Exterior: 6/10
Interior: 8/10
Quality: 5/10
Practicality: 7/10
Performance: 6/10
Value: 3/10
Overall: 35/60
These ridiculous Doug scores lol.
The fact that you put quality at a 5/10 is a joke dude it's not about reliability as much as it is about the feel of the overall car with is EASILY a 7.
@@GuiltyNoticer must be made in mexico
I didn't really see any tech that isn't in the new tellulride or palisade. Is it opulent because of the badging?
laser headlights, gesture control, heated 3rd row seats, 5 zone climate control, V8 engine, RWD platform, better interior etc.
1080p is holding you back. When 4k?
i would to get this car for long camping trips.
You gotta do a Land Cruiser v X7 v Lexus 470.
Sofyan brighter than my future
As much as I am impressed by the X7, I think money is better spent for a Black Label Aviator. Better seats, nearly same acceleration, about as posh and quiet, and save lots of bread in the process.
Meh! Lincoln still has a lot to prove.
I wish it had the round gages
10:38 I really think this looks so much cheaper than Volvo’s B&W speakers on dashboard
Looked at that bought the Navigator, middle row seats too slow and not enough room.
Lincolns look great (in my opinion) and are very very comfortable, but good luck with reliability, seems like a total crap shoot, especially with the Navigator. Seems like for every Lincoln that goes for over 100k miles, there are five that break down in the first couple months of driving. To be fair though, that seems to be the case for most luxury car brands aside from Lexus.
It's probably a nice vehicle but it doesn't have the wow factor for me. Also, I have no need for 3 rows, I'd much prefer 2 rows w/ captain seats. And it will have much more storage space. Jmo
id rather sit in the 3rd row of the x7 than the front seats of some normal cars
Clickbait headline: compared to the Rolls-Royce? I don't think so, not to mention a couple of others
