Completely_Blank I'm pretty sure you can join anyway I'm not sure how but do a bit of research and you can find a way if you really want to join. But At the moment there is problems with the pay but hopefully that gets resolved soon as I want to join when I'm older.
Excellent! As a former member of the Defence Forces it is great to seen how the standards have not only been maintained but improved upon. Really proud to have served and proud of those who serve. Defence Forces have high standards and it is tough to get in. Pity the Government didn't and still doesn't adequately reward that service.
Well, you will have to learn to swim...definitely beneficial to learn before because there are alot of situations where you will need it in the feild and in training as shown in the video
Hey, I applied for the army last week and got the automated email response immediately after. What can I expect next and how long should I be waiting for the next phase?
@@somethingidk8472 Just because we aren't at war doesn't mean the defense forces should be neglected. It's costing us more to train new recruits while the more experienced soldiers leave for better pay. Also most European countries aren't at war now yet they don't neglect their military like us.
@@rigby6038 That's your opinion. I think it's an embarrassment to have to rely on the UK to patrol our own borders. Most careers here have good wages, yet the soldiers get paid fuck all and they are the ones who put their lives on the line.
@@rigby6038 "we have better stuff to spend money on" they are protecting your country. they are keeping peace. if we gave up on the army, who is going to defend our shores when some country begins to invade and knocks on our door?how can you justify 20 euro pay for 24 hour duty? you have to do TWO 24 hour duties PER WEEK. you'd get more respect and WAY better pay at a fucking mcdonalds
change the time to 59. my mistake.the whole video is 2.44.the bad drill on the obstacle is 59.he is upright and the biggest possible target.he should cross on his belly.lowest possible signature.
bad drills at 244,he is silhoutted against the sky line..he should be keeping the lowest possible profile.belly down.he is sitting up presenting the biggest possible target as crosses the obstacle.

Irish soldiers are very well trained and disciplined, but they lack numbers......their only down side
It's because the government neglects the army and pays them in peanuts
