    I love how this was literally posted right after I was trying to use Gouache and not understanding why I couldn't blend it. 🤣

    Love this so much!! Thank you! I have barely touched gouache. I draw.....the paintbrush terrifies me. I have a million of them and they taunt me, cackling and laughing, pointing at me from the corner of my room. So needless to say I'm pretty stuck. But I want to do the 100 faces challenge (even though I'm super new to art in general) and the 100 eyes. I did 30 hands in 30 days that was my very first challenge (and only one to date) which I did when I cracked open my first true to form sketchbook.
    You have given me more confidence. This is the kind of gouache I have. Once you got to a certain point it began to look like a paint by numbers piece (no offense, it just made the process much less scary).
    I'm a brand new subscriber and I'm so glad I found you. I will be stalking your videos for a long time.

    I’m literally so obsessed with you and your videos! I personally love your gouache videos because they are my favorite medium and I always run out of the white it’s so annoying they should just give us a whole pallet of white 😂

      omg i have to constantly buy extra tubes of white. they should be free with every gouache purchase

    I’ve learned that gouache always has a couple of ugly phases but that it usually only takes a couple of brush strokes to bring it to life, so you just have to keep going. I looooove gouache

    i got the holbein gouache last month and was very frustrated and disappointed. it was recommended to me by a few people because i wanted to get into gouache, i've only used acrylics and normal (transparent) watercolour before. forward to finally trying the holbein gouache and my disappointment that they're NOT gouache (=opaque watercolour), they're just "acrylic gouache" which means they're acrylics, and nothing else.
    they can't be reactivated once dry. they're just acrylics which claim to be gouache, but they aren't.
    i don't see any difference between holbein acrylic gouache and schminke acrylic paints which i've used for the last 25 years. they both turn into plastic once dry :/
    don't know why some of [thank you for the correction!] the jelly gouache brands and the holbein gouache claim they're "gouache" when they're acrylic based and are NOT opaque watercolour, which is the actual definition of gouache.
    ah well... guess i need to keep looking for actual gouache.
    also!!! all those people who claim they don't know how to use acrylics when they're holbein gouache... i got news for you, you've been using acrylics all the time.
    anyway, sorry! the video & art was really gorgeous!! thank you so much 💕💕💕

      Jelly gouache is by no means acrylic, it is easily reactivated by water.

    • @CelilasArt
      @CelilasArt 3 роки тому

      @@Jannuk76 ah thank you!! that's really good to know! i saw a review where someone said it was acrylic based. which can be mixed with water while it's wet, but once it's dry it's plastic and can't be reactivated.
      so maybe it depends on the brand? i'll keep a lookout for the ones that can be reactivated then!

    • @Jannuk76
      @Jannuk76 3 роки тому +2

      @@CelilasArt the Himi and Miya ones are reactivatible (is that a word?), I own them both. I stay away from anything acrylic, cause of the plastic feeling, brr. Al is using them from the palet, where they are clearly dried. So yes, that's the real gouache.
