I like both videos but, You were comparing procreate with the basic sketchbook version (which is not fair) pro version is more complete and that will be a much reasonable match. for example you said sketchbook only has two exporting choices ( which is not true in pro version) you actually have 8 different choices to export your work. And there are more features you didn't even mention. I respect you and everyone who like procreate, I think is a great app for artist but, sketchbook is better than the few things you said about it.
My problem with Sketchbook is the lines always is 'shaky'. The Photoshop has better stability when you draw a line, but lacks in brushes IMO. Having an Adobe Sketch AND an Adobe Draw is a pain in the ass. Thanks for the info, because I'm watching videos to not spend $10 in another app that the brush isn't stable.
veridiana cantelmo Sketchbook has a tool called Predictive Stroke. It's not a tool that comes free as I had to purchase Pro tools in-app. But since sketchbook is free now I'm not sure what's included or not.
I never had issues with the record function in sketchbook.. I actually prefer to choose if i want it recording or not. I do kind of wish that the ipad version of sketchbook would offer brush downloads and editable custom brushes like it does in the windows version i think that was the only downfall for me.. The only thing that Procreate has that I kind of want is the ability to live broadcast. However I need more information about this feature before i pay their recent price increase.. I wish they had a free-trial or something.. i hate spending money on something that i will end up finding is not really what i expected..
yeah Procreate is cool at all but Sketchbook is free at the moment and it can do just as good job . yes it has some stuff missing and its like sai an over simplified version of Photoshop and i also dont know if there is a windows version of Procreate . that do i hate Procreate nope i am saying that every program has + and a -
What I hate about sketchbook is....let's say you managed to draw your line without any wobble in it and you have another line crossing over it and you want to erase part of the latest line to shorten it. When I go to use the eraser it leaves the line pixelated and is very clearly seen, thereby RUINING anything I go to TRY to draw. I need to practice to get better at drawing but this is seriously holding me back.....
I have used the perspective mines in SketchBook and I don't really like it. I I draw in perspective with a ruler and by hand regularly. The lines in SketchBook do not line up properly. I tried to draw a basic Cube and I noticed that the lines were off. Quite frustrating.
I use sketchbook Pro, and it’s amazing! It’s simple and it has everything I need, including Copics ❤️ It’s just not fair that you compared procreate with the basic Sketchbook Version 😐
The way I see it, Sketchbook is more for design artists that want to digitalize their paper sketch, Procreate is more digital art work like cartoons. Almost all product designers or car designers I follow on Instagram uses Sketch while Procreate artists mainly do cartoons drawing. Depends on your profession I guess.
This video has some mistakes because you have compared procreate vs sketchbook free not pro which is not fair as some others have stated. Other than that it seems good and makes me wanna try procreate.
Eric Merced the reason you have mentioned , sketch book has all of it too . Dropped by here just because I have never used procreate cause yea I am an android user . I have been using it since couple yrs now , not saying I am pro but if you are considering procreate be best cause of these reasons then you are totally wrong sir. And you might wanna check out the recent update that sketchbook got . I presume you havent checked it out yet as you said procreate is your favourite out of the two. Btw I use samsung note 4 .
I think this app is cool actually I think both apps are great. Just saying I think sketch book has more simple brushes and little tools that are not as complicated as sketch book. I would recommend sketch book for young artist who are begginging their future life on devices and more (my opinion you don't haft to agree.)
I'm wondering if I should get an ipad pro or a medium range computer with a cheap laptop. I want to paint digitally. Would ipad pro be a better choice?!
Eric Merced i can afford ipad with the pencil... and i feel like ipad would be a better option but I'm hesitant with the programs like i used photoshop quite a bit and i like it. I don't know if procreate is upto par with photoshop. So that's the problem.can i make professional looking illustrations on a ipad pro?!
Here's one reason why you won't get Procreate, no matter how good it is: iPads are f'ing expensive. And so is the stylus. Of course, if you can afford them, then that reason is gone.
I mean, the Ipad is still cheaper than a Cintiq, although if you can afford a Cintiq I'd say go for that instead, using Sketchbook Pro and a Cintiq is like magic. Then again an artist on the go would be better off with the Ipad, it's all dependant on the type of artist really.
I’m a sketchbook user but looking for procreate now for one reason: drawing size. It seems Pro allows much bigger canvas size than Skh.
motojc And you can animate in it now ;)
U can't change the canvas size in sketbook I things ;-;
@@hubbabubba4242 You can.
Yeah skchbk canvas is small
I was a fan of sketchbook but after watching this video I think procreate is miles ahead of sketchbook. But problem is I am an Android user.
So sad
Solution? Infinite painter !
Ibis paint x
Yeah, same. I hate Apple products so I'm really upset that I can't use Procreate.
@@stormy5452 samee
I want to start drawing digital art, and I LOVE SO MUCH PROCREATE but I don't want to buy a ipad only for procreate : (
Procreate is my app...it is cool...the only feature that I like in sketchbook is symmetry..
alfredo1ar same
alfredo1ar I never use either though I use Medibang paint I reccomened you use it! :) 😊
thanks wendy...I will look forward to look for it.
alfredo1ar well I feel like getting brushes and stuff is easier at sketchbook
I think you need to re-do this view first of all Sketchbook is now free.
4:22 sketchbook actually has this feature too kinda

Animagape Studios I so agree
Eric Merced
Sketchbook Pro is now free so...
this video kinda doesn’t work anymore
Eric Merced he meant the pro version is now free so you don’t have to buy any additional things that doesn’t come for free
Hes comparing with iPads versions but i agree
I use both and I like both
I recommend sketchbook for draws and procreate for animations
Now we got perspective in sketchbook too

@@Haroythere Thanks for the tip, but I already bought Procreate and I'm very satisfied with this app! Really is the best for drawing!
@@vedias2 no the best is Infinite Painter !
procreate costs money tho
Corrupted Vizion Welp, obviously
Corrupted Vizion worth it for a professional
ItzKeisha Slimes No it cost money either way
ItzKeisha Slimes oh I thought you were talking about the other iPads not the pro

Does it have clipping mask tho? If so im sold.
Me: *sees he has the Holy Bible app*
Also me: Yass less go, Christian, party lol
Lollll yessss
Is the allowed resulotion in both app is 72 dpi?
Sketchbook is now free btw
Same question as below - where do you get your imported brushes from, thank you
yeah Procreate is cool at all but Sketchbook is free at the moment and it can do just as good job .
yes it has some stuff missing and its like sai an over simplified version of Photoshop and i also dont know if there is a windows version of Procreate .

Just wanted to know we're I could find custom brushes and also custom color grids for procreate ty
Eric Merced thnx boss
That perspective guide blew me away
That challenge thing from sketch book would be nice
Can you review ibis paint?
What’s the difference between procreate and prob create pocket?
Sketchbook pro doesn't have perspective guide on the iPad?
Shawn it does actually
If you’re good at making art, either app should work fine.
I cant draw, so I buy the most expensive one
@@subilabi buying the most expensive can't help you draw. Learn to draw first.
@@Unknownplsyer i was joking. dont take it seriously
can i use wacom to draw on procreate??

Great one too, Eric. Did you make new brushes for Procreate?

I can record my drawing on Sketchbook too FYI
Ahhh I don’t want to switch :3 but I’m tempted to try it. :3
procreate pencil brush not too smooth in rendering due to texture base. sketchbook pencil rendering smoother
How do you make the layers semi visible?
To trace over older layers
Procreate have unlimited font?
what is something as good as procreate on android?
sketchbook on windows has all of this
WanttoBehigh IKR, people think ibispaint is better but when I show them Sketchbook PC, they just got the jaw wide opened.
No sketchbook has recording too
I use sketchbook Pro, and it’s amazing! It’s simple and it has everything I need, including Copics ❤️ It’s just not fair that you compared procreate with the basic Sketchbook Version 😐

How to turn the sketching line into blue line?

But I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeallly like Sketchbook, don't make me think about changing..................

Not too different from each other. And free is cheaper.
Reason Nr. 1 and only and sufficient. Subscription! Bye bye sketchbook!
Can someone please tell me if procreate cost money pleaseeee😢
Yess
Yea... I like procreate... But i dont have IPad! And if i have IOS i must bought the procreate app too! Damn it, Im poor :(
sketchbook is way better now
PROCREATE 5 IS OUT YALLLLLLLLLLLL AUTODESK ON IPAD CANT ANIMATE. BUT PROCREATE CAN
Sketchbook is better as it’s free unlike Pro create.
Lakhan Rastogi Sure, it's free, but for everything that it offers, I think it's fair to say that Procreate is better.
