I like to use koshai lantern because I can use the lantern hold to reposition while spinning. In doing so it does not deplete the weapon meter, and one or two combos is enough to get back spinning. Makes you even more immortal too. But watchout for that charrog rage dance, that's the most painful one to lookout for.

i was watching another yter of dauntless who doesnt rlly talk but mainly makes his vid funny, but u buddy ju are on a different dimension thx for the build, his name was dag plan, he is so underrated i recommend him rlly
Fun thing, the Koshai lantern has a synergie with Ardent Cyclone as u can cancel Ardent with hold ability to retain some of ur special bar if u feel like the behemoth is going too far. (also the lifesteal is nice if u dont use Skarn weap) Edit: Nvm that godamn Ohdough already mentionned it
I also just don't think it's worth running Koshai lantern if you're already running Iceborne. The wasted special meter isn't a big deal. Even without Iceborne, Koshai is wack because it doesn't offer you much outside of lifesteal on a long cooldown. The mobility from the hold isn't that impressive either with sword's new kit.
@@XannyPhantasmo Yeh I thought it wouldn't be meta, it's just a bit fun. Also tried Shriek on Cyclone because more move speed means more stickiness but I dont really know if the hold attack speed applies to Cyclone spinning speed

Some of the "newer" Dire Behemoths I just can't get used to properly, though the worst offender in my book is still Tempestborne. I am legitimately better at fighting Shrowd and Reza than I am at fighting Tempestborne Stormclaw...

If you somehow take health damage besides the overpowering amount of life steal you might also get the terra heal effect on enemies

This build is great I got a sub 3 on a heroic koshai when the sword was only +8 and with +5 catalyst
