Pollinator Island got us wanting to come hang out with the pollinators ☮️❤️💡
I can't wait to sit out and just watch!
I love those bird feeders even more cause you didn’t give up ❤❤
Thank you so much and I am excited to see everything grow! Thank you for watching!
This looks amazing! I can't wait to see the progress. 😊
Thank you! I definitely can't wait to watch everything grow together!
Thank you for this! I'm thinking of building something like this in the corner of my yard and you helped me choose what flowers I need to go with. Zone 7b.
Can I use gravel over cardboard? Trying to stay away from mulch.
GORGEOUS!
Yay!!! So glad this helped and I know your space will be beautiful. Thanks for watching!
Yes you definitely can use either. Thanks again!
Just to save you the suspense... the feeders are not squirrel proof. Squirrels are crafty little buggers and will figure out the most complicated feeders. The best bet is to look at the furry little tree rats and accept that they're there to stay.
That said, if you want a feeder to be strictly for the birds, use straight safflower seed. The squirrels will leave it alone. This will limit what birds visit that feeder (for me it is Carolina Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse and Cardinal), but at least you won't be constantly refilling the feeder.
For my wife and I, we just decided to set up a separate feeder for the squirrels with feed they prefer over the bird seed. It doesn't stop them, but at least they don't beeline to the bird feeders.
Thank you so much for sharing this information and thank you so much for watching!
