  • The all metal Angle-izer is a strong template tool for getting odd angles transfered to your work material. It seems to be a tool that will last for a long time. It is slick on the back side so be sure to hold on to it when you make a transfer.

    It is sad to see all the nit-picky, negative comments for this video. The fact is, the guy did a reasonable job of conveying how this tool works, and he showed a couple of examples of how it might be used around a typical home. It would be great if some of these armchair critics would get off their butt and make their own videos.

    After reading a few of the comments, I find a lot of criticism about things that have nothing to do with the angelizer. I suggest that we focus on what the topic is the angelizer, not his skill as an electrician. Which by the way there is nothing wrong with the way the outlet is installed. There is not anything in the electrical code that states the way it should be installed (ground hole up or down). This is a DYI video, not a professional production. I appreciate the fact that he even made the video.

      Haha welcome to the world of youtube comments. Thank you for defending my outlets. The tool works as advertised.... and I am for sure not a pro.

    it's simply a tool that you probably are not going to use frequently but when you need it, it can be very helpful

    Not a bad video. Obviously the fella is a carpenter, not a content creator. The value of the video is in exposing folks to a helpful tool. I've had one in my tool chest for years, still in package.I am a homeowner/DIYer. I will start using it.Nice job. Directions on package are excellent. There are other videos on YT about this tool. I often wonder why there are so many fools watching YT who make nit picking comments and don't appreciate the big picture. The fella making the video may not be an expert but I think the video is helpful.

      Haha. Sadly I am more of a content creator than carpenter. The tool is good for many angles but I find that I go to old school tools over this one. I might just forget that I have it.

    WOW, I can't believe all the professionals that are watching and critiquing. If I remember correctly a straight line is a at a 90 degree ANGLE. Now I am a high school dropout so I am not as smart as some of the "experts" are but I found the video useful. Thanks for the video.

      In the world of youtube there are plenty of "pros" willing to give their opinion. I am happy to hear that this video helped you.

    Should work nicely for laying out the angle cuts for a roof rafter or truss member.

    "ANGLEIZER" get it. CUT ANGLES not squares. You made using this tool look cumbersome.

    • @mcdougal0
      @mcdougal0 6 років тому +1

      A "SQUARE" has angles, but I have to agree a poor example to demonstrate the use of this tool.

  • @barddzen
    @barddzen 6 років тому +2

    Yeah and cut the hole way too big and didn't measure using the tool properly. I purchased it and have been looking for some concrete examples and this made it look painful to use.

    • @LandtoHouse
      @LandtoHouse  6 років тому

      I am no good at cutting those outlet holes. So far my favorite use for the tool is to find hard to reach angles on my roof pitch.

  • @jenky1044
    @jenky1044 5 років тому

    Your building is off on the top.? What does that even mean.? You measured it both directions. It sounds like a measuring - transferring problem to me. Good video though, I may buy one of these for a different application.

    Would have been easier just to use the standard box dimensions. And why is the outlet upside down?

    • @LandtoHouse
      @LandtoHouse  5 років тому

      I was given this tool and wanted to test it out with something. I heard that upside down outlets in a shop can be handy if a tool were to fall on a half unplugged outlet. Just for fun if you want a short answer haha.

      It was a bit lacking I suppose. Sometimes I have more motivation for reviews than other times. This one was not so good. But I agree the tool is great.

      @@LandtoHouse 600! Ok. Did you watch it again? Reason I ask is because I was looking for How-to's and I found yours at the top of search results. That was, for you, a Good thing, right? Here's what I thought at first blush: "Does he sell these?" Then you proceed to show how to use it with an imaginary 'project' need. So, please review your video and see if you see how I saw it and was disappointed, not by production, but the use lack of a real world usage 'script'. It truly needed a real world use example. Apologies for being snarky. 😎

      Sometimes when a company reaches out and asks me to make a video I accept and actually have no idea how to use the product. Not the best way to go about it I know. I can say that there was no script. Not sure any of my videos are scripted. That was my best idea on how to use it in the moment. As for being the top video ... Thats fun. I think the company pushed this one hard. NO need to apologies for being snarky. I have had WAY worse being a small youtuber. haha
