I love watching the progression of your trees over the years. Thank you for all of your time and effort in assisting us with some simple methods to creating viable bonsai.
Your locks are looking quite nice! Fantastic work on your trees! I love your channel. I grew up watching you and you inspired me to create bonsai trees. I have some and have been consistently growing and working on them gradually
Hi Nigel, Beautiful work on some lovely newer trees! I really wondered if Joan wanted her tail pruned for a while! She such a wonderful little cat! She adds even more beautiful energy to the bonsai zone!❤ Lisa
Serviceberry trees are often sold as multi-trunked trees. I've got one in the yard that's about 6 feet tall, and my in-laws have one that is over 30 years old with a huge spreading canopy due to the multi stem growth. it would be cool to try and grow a miniature version of those multi-trunked trees!
When I hear you talking about how slowly the mulberry was growing last year. I don't know about the area you're in but in the states last year we had a really wierd year. most of the plants were affected not all of them good either.
That reminds me Nigel I need to prune my wisteria along with a couple of other. Have you had fowwers on yours, I have had mine for over 12 years without a sign of a flower. They tend to grow them now on fast growing stock so the flowers come quickly.
Is your wisteria a Japanese or Chinese variety? Here in the southern U.S. W. frutescens more readily blooms for me in a pot. The blooms are shorter and lack the fragrance of Asian varieties, but frutescens makes a pretty nice bonsai.
Lately almost every video of yours has this annoying german voiceover. (I am from austria, so it does make sense that its german.) Its auto generated by youtube i guess. I am wondering if you clicked a button to make this happen or if you tube just randomly desides to this with certain creators.

Best wishes from Germany 😊

Yay! More winter pruning trees.. more, more! You should have some beech trees because it would help me out to watch you pruning them. 😊
Excellent nigel! I learn a lot from you!
Thanks so much, I appreciate that!

I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Love to follow progres of your trees, especially younger ones 🧡
Great video. This is a great training video for those starting out and for us in the hobby longer. Clear and precise thoughts on the clip and grow.
Made a cup of tea to enjoy this video by the Master.

Looks so organized! Wonderful as always. Winter project eh… wondering what that will be. 😊
I'm not sure Dave, but I'll think of something!!
Try a Water Sprite bonsai for a nice winter project. They do grow a nice trunk. Takes time but well worth it.
I’m diggin this pruning technique, looking forward to the spring trimming to see how it all flushes out.

Thanks Nigel! Would love to see the trees that don't make it too!
Nice, epic addition to the theme song! =)
I know I should be commenting on your pruning, but I’m most curious about your winter project. Looking forward to whatever you have in store for us
You make a great team.

How often do you water them during winter, when inside?
good pruning technique but are you going to remember which trees you pruned this way? do you keep any kind of notes?
Just the videos, I try and review the past videos before I begin work on the trees again!!
Hey Nigel do bonsai trees like humidifiers
Yes, for the tropical trees, but be sure to use distilled water, or rainwater, as tap water will leave a white dust all over the leaves!!
Ok we run off a well and I found using distilled water is harder
@ where can I get seeds to grow
