மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகின்றோம்..
"You know, I am an ordinary man" Moorty sir told me when I approached him for deposits. I visited him during Diwali season 12 years before in his Kottur Garden residence. His wife Madam Manimala was a regular visitor to our branch.
I was so eager to visit him as he was my role model. My college friends used to comment on my way of delivery with Moorthy sir. I myself started believing that. All my small plays were written with the protagonist always talking like Moorty sir.
When I visited him, he was very casually dressed with a Dhothi and white jibbah.
He said that his cupboard is full of cheques returned for want of funds. He would have become a billionaire if all these cheques were encashed.
What a sad statement from an exceptionally talented personality.
I told him that I was so excited to meet him as I happened to be his ekalavya, he simply smiled and appeared no so impressed about the statement. Thousands would have told him when they happen to meet him.
However, when I told couple of scenes which I liked from old movies, he was really thrilled.
1. தேடி வந்த லட்சுமி - "இந்த மூக்கு இருக்கே மூக்கு"
2. வீட்டுக்கு வீடு - இன்டர்வியூ சீன் - முதலில் ஜெய் வருவார். இரண்டாவது லட்சுமி. மூன்றாவது மூர்த்தி அப்படி இப்படி பார்த்துவிட்டு இருவருக்கும் நடுவில் அமர்வார்.
இன்டர்வியூ செய்பவர் முதலில் லட்சுமியை அழைப்பார். முடிந்தவுடன், அடுத்தது யார் என்றதும் மூர்த்தி எழுந்து நிற்க ஜெய் அதிர்ச்சியுடன் பல்லைக் கடிப்பார். ஆனால், மூர்த்தி தனக்கே உரித்தான செய்கையான விரல் மடக்கி, next இவர் என்று ஜெய்யைக் காட்டுவார்.
மூர்த்திக்கும் தேங்காய்க்கும் விரல்கள் பேசும். இவர்களது body languageஐ விட விரல்கள் language வெகு பிரசித்தம்.
3. அஞ்சல் பெட்டி 520ல் சிவாஜி இவரது காலை ஒடித்து விட, இவர் கட்டுப் போட்டவாறு குனிந்து குனிந்து நடக்கும் அழகு.
இதுபோல பல காட்சிகளை நான் வெகுவாக ரசித்து அவரிடம் எடுத்து விட, மூர்த்தி சார் என்னிடம் "அடேங்கப்பா.. இவ்வளவு பழசெல்லாம் follow பண்ணியிருக்கீங்க? தேடி வந்த லட்சுமி எல்லாம் மாடர்ன் தியேட்டர்ஸ் படம்"
என்று தழுதழுத்தது இன்று போல் இருக்கிறது.
அவர் நகைச்சுவையில் நிஜமாகவே ஒரு சிங்கம். அதன் வீர்யத்திற்கு சரியான தீனி கொடுக்காமல் குதிரை மாதிரி கனைக்க விட்டதும், இரட்டை அர்த்தம் பேச விட்டதும் நமது துர்பாக்கியம்.
சித்ரா லட்சுமணன் சார் அவர்களுக்கு மிக்க நன்றி... மூர்த்தி சார் அவர்களை பேச விட்டு இடையில் குறுக்கீடாமல் அனைத்து கருத்துக்களையும் வெளி கொண்டு வந்தமைக்கு.... மூர்த்தி sir really great🌹

எல்லா பகுதிகளையும் பார்த்து ரசித்தேன். வெண்ணிற ஆடை படத்தில் இருந்து திரு மூர்த்தி அவர்களின் நடிப்பை ரசித்து வருகிறேன். பல தலைமுறை நடிகர்களுடன் தொடர்ந்து நடித்து தனக்கென சிறப்பான இடத்தை திரை உலகில் பெற்று உள்ளார். நானும் சிதம்பரம் நகரை சேர்ந்தவன். பல ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னரே, திரு மூர்த்தி அவர்களும் சிதம்பரம் நகரை சேர்ந்தவர் என்று அறிந்து மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தேன். பச்சையப்பன் பள்ளி, அண்ணாமலை பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் படித்தவர் என்று பலர் சொல்லி கேட்டு அறிந்தேன். சமீபமாக திரைப்படத்தில் அவரை காணவில்லையே என்று அடிக்கடி எண்ணுவேன். இப்போது தான் காரணம் தெரிந்து கொண்டேன். என்னை போன்ற ரசிகர்களுக்கு வருத்தம் அளித்தாலும் அவருடைய முடிவை தலைவணங்கி ஏற்றுக் கொள்கிறேன். நல்ல மனது உடைய அவர், நீண்ட நாட்கள் நல்ல உடல் நலத்துடனும் மகிழ்ச்சியுடனும் வாழ வேண்டுமென இறைவனை வேண்டுகிறேன்.
