@@jeremyserwer2586 Just hold on. They're supposed to announce west coast tour dates soon. I'm def seeing them when they're here and possibly going down to LA as well. We'll get ours.
My favorite SP track, sounds great as remixed by HiWatt. I went to seem them at the Fort Lauderdale show this month but the club forgot to have a waterproof roof handy for the show. I was bummed but I saw them 31 years ago, so there's that.
@@ryn5671 That's interesting, I saw the Miami show in '92 as well. I went to that show to see Godflesh but they didn't make it, I really loved SP going forward after that. At least we have those memories!
@@fieldtripchannel2415 and my reason for posting is elsewhere in the comments, but Ken Engineered the band that took God flesh's place, Thought Industry, and I fell in love w them that night
@@ryn5671 They were good, from Ann Arbor if I remember right. The poor guitarist was having a fit with the SP props (carousel) on stage. I did enjoy their set.
Omg thank you so much, this is amazing! Missed you on this tour, Ken. I'm guessing that schedules didn't line up or something but suffice it to say that I was bummed I couldn't say what's up this time around. Awesome work and thanks again for sharing w us. Big ups on this one. Stay up and safe travels, meng. ( - Mike, the Hospitality Cart guy )
Absolutely epic. So clean. Flying from NZ to Vegas this week coming to catch SP’s last tour. I hope these remasters get officially released on an album!
I so wanted to go (I live in NH) but unfortunately, I couldn't make it. Glad it was an epic show.....would be cool if they ended up doing a vid of one of their live shows!
Oh my god!! I recall hearing the original 12” mix in an industrial club in Hollywood way back. I remember the acoustic guitars in there. Badass mix, this new one!!!
Hello Holy HiWatt! Thank you for the wonderful treats, they are a highlight of my day whenever you post them. I love what you did to this track. It really has an entirely different flow and is a kind of sonic MSG to an already wonderful track! (It also helps those of us you are overseas and can’t see the final your)❤🤘🏼
You almost turned Inquisition into a TDP track. The studio footage is just beautiful. Sight from sound! BTW, can you do a Trent Reznor and 'leak' a bunch of Puppy remasters without telling anyone...? Rodent v2 is TIGHT!
Just saw the phenomenal Toronto and Montreal shows. Sound was awesome, you would have been proud. Wanted to thank you for all the years of awesome sonic wizardry, hope you collaborate with them again soon, man, missed seeing you with the gang.
@@hunterdavis3003 I know you are probably asking spishco, but we really enjoyed the show! It was my wife's first time and my second. I saw them in Toronto at the Koolhaus in 2004 for the Greater Wrong of the Right tour. They always put on a true show. A spectacle. Something you will always remember. Dave and Cevin each said thank you's and goodbyes, it was both happy and sad.
Just remarkably done, I have been listening to all of these remixes and have never heard SP sound so good save being at one of their shows. Thank you sir!
what a treat! I get to listen to Hiwatt's version of a seminal Skinny Puppy track..Ken, you are a true studio master- one of (IMHO, at least..) recording royalty the king, if you will.. ( the queen being Sylvia Massey.. ;) ).. thank you, thank you, thank you for being such an inspiration to little ol' me.. :)
I love the final version, but honestly... everything included seems to be something that Skinny Puppy has already performed. That's what makes it so superb! It's essentially Skinny Puppy cannon.
Thank you Colin, I appreciate every single subscriber, and YOU 🙏😊 This community is absolutely incredible, the comments being shared, and the overall POSITIVE energy is SOOOOOO refreshing 🙏👦🏻 I feel very privileged to be in such good company, thank you!!! 🤟🏻 ❤️hiwatt
This is AMAZING. Man you should do some vivisectvi tracks. That album is so good but I think that it has a few production issues holding it back. Great work!!! We love you. Also unrelated The Dragon Experience is one of my favorite records of ALL TIME.
Still hope one day you can talk about that great job you did on Thought Industry's Mods Carve album. Fantastic production on that, especially for when it was done.
Thanks for sitting in on this one @Guitarist888 🤟🏻🙏🏻 Great question my friend...it's a combination; mostly samples, accented with cEvin's live drums. We had his big Ayotte kit set up during that entire album recording 💥 Mushroom had such a unique drum sound, the room was EPIC 🤟🏻🙅🏻♂ Thanks again @Guitarist888, have a great week! -hw
Ken, what a great mix. Definitely one of my favorite songs of Puppy's. I'm curious if this was a case of revisiting things you weren't happy with from the original mix or just a fun diversion. I love elements of this one and the original. Not sure this is more definitive than the original, but it is nice to hear some of the background elements poke through more...
Wow, wish I could afford to send you an album for improving. Living in South America, where dollars are way expensive, I can't even afford to update my computer :( Nice work, as usual.
Nice job. Is this done from.original dat/adag tapes? Or do u know what this was originall recorded on? The kick drum is much more pronounced and punchy. Nice work😊
All the fizzle and zing is gone. The tone textures I liked about the song are muddied out. Grado SR-80 headphones thru a soundcard so I'm getting whatever youtube can offer in terms of fidelity.

My favorite skinny puppy song! incredible mix.🎛️🎧👍 back in the day, I actually was never too keen on the actual 12-inch remixes of skinny puppy tracks. I actually like the more b-side tracks that were added on. For some reason went it came to 12-inch remixes. Skinny Puppy never really put as much effort as I would like into the actual remixes (granted they already got it right the first time) their mixes are so dense that really just doing a "dance mix" kind of strips away a lot of the multi-layered magic of them. I'm from the remix School of Trent Reznor, coil, and aphex twin where the remixes are not just mixes they're completely new tracks! I felt like this really stepped it up a notch 👌 thank you for this 🙏 BrAp oN!!¡!✋✌️
VERY COOL to see the gear responding to input signal!
You are too kind to share this! Very much appreciated. Thanks
It would be awesome to see you on cEvin's channel or him on yours!
Thanks for this. I’m listening as I drive to Cincinnati to see a Skinny Puppy on their final tour.
Bummed they're not coming to SF! I've only seen Cevin Key DJ here in the 90's at Transmission Theatre , enjoy the gig!

What a perfect time to post this video, just days after I saw them play a wicked show in Toronto.
Great mix of a great song.
Thank you!
Thank you Ken! What an awesome remix. The original track alone really gets you going, but with your added touch…BOOM. Oh yea!
My favorite S.P. song!
Wow...amazing to see the tracks light up for real on your recorder.
Good remix
