I got hit by a Waste Management garbage truck in 2018 and at the time I wasn't very happy about it considering it put me in the hospital and surgery along with 4 months and counting physical therapy but knowing how they offered my lawyer to settle for $840,000 makes the pain a little more bearable. Watching Mooney videos I have a good idea what I'm gonna do when I settle my case. :-)

Awesome video. Where did you get that pen/pencil holder above the glare-shield? Thanks.

Nice video. I also have an M20F and noticed you don’t take off with mixture full. Do you take off with the mixture at a predetermined level as defined by your field altitude?

He is at Centennial airport at Denver, due to altitude using less mixture. I would guess he has experimentally determined a fuel flow level that works for that field/DA conditions by way of engine running smooth and sufficient cooling to keep the cylinder head temps below 360, 370. I have a '69 F as well, but am at low altitude home base so tend to use full mixture for takeoff, but at higher altitude it can definitely help to respect that fact that thinner intake air can handle less fuel per unit volume.... the other thing to respect is the CHT and making sure the engine is smooth and but not over rich so as to not foul plugs. Rod Machado has a youtube video on " Leaning the Mixture for a High Density Altitude Takeoff"

Are you based at KAPA? How is the M20F in high density altitude? I'm at Salida, CO (7500 msl)

Great video! Where can one find a copy of the checklist supplement you show caps of throughout?

@@24blakemoore I just NOW saw where you replied to this message. I am not sure how to send a msg via youtube, do you have another preferred method on contact? PS, I fly a '69 F tail # 56V, so I'm guessing our birds were on the assembly line together.
