I tried Dorico SE and I was hooked! 😃 I used to use Finale and dabbled in Sibelius. However, none of them has a workflow so simple and time saving. I can spend more time creating than editing the sheet music layout, tempo, accents, etc. I'm happy Dorico is improving and growing in a way composers and writers need.
Simply printing specific flows by name (instead of looking up the page ranges of that specific flow) will be huge time saver for me, particularly in regard to musical theatre scores. Thanks for this well needed feature!
Wonderful news! But please, dearest Dorico team, don't forget us modernists (flat ties, plain text option for dynamics, glissandi over multiple (headless) notes). Much love!
Dorico is absolutely incredible! The way that the team constantly keep improving the software has left Sibelius standing on its own a long time ago. We use it constantly, and changing over from Sibelius has been the best thing we have ever done. Thanks, team Dorico! 🙂
Great program. For future I would appreciate it, if in play mode there would be the names of the choosen instrumants and numbers of tracks would be visible. As well I couldn't find yet a loop function for playing repeated smaller pieces
Thank you very much for the update, but the Asian lyrics are still very inconvenient to add. And the default font for Asia doesn't provide an option for serif and non-serif. I hope that, like InDesign or Word, it can provide a different option for Western and Asian fonts.
Thanks for the update! Love the software!! Please add scale diagrams for guitar (would love to use that for educational music curriculums etc) Keep going! You guys are killing it!👏
@@dorico I’d like to be able to add the dots (the same way I edit a custom chord diagram) how ever I want, and choose how many frets should be visible in the diagram as well choosing a fret number next to the diagram. If you make it possible to add more dots to the same string in a chord diagram, then I could use the chord diagrams to make scale diagrams. I want to be able to have the diagram show above the notation staff, and on the notation staff/Tab staff I would write out the scale as well, so that the student can see both scale diagram as well as the scale written out note by note in the notation staff underneath. Ideally I’d like to be able to save those custom chord diagrams/scale diagrams to be able to use them in future sessions. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Kind regards /E
I second this. Perhaps make a post in the Steinberg Dorico forum for this if you haven't done so already? That way, Daniel Spreadbury is likely to see it and reply personally.
Hello. Can you please tell me why, when I purchased the Dorico sheet music editor and activated it with an activation code, this purchase did not appear in the list of purchased Steinberg Corporation software products in my personal account? I wrote to the support service and have been waiting for 24 days, is it really so long to process the questions received? And where should I go?
I've not been able to find your support ticket by searching for your name. Email me on discoverdorico@steinberg.de and I'll see what I can find out for you.
It is ok to do updates with new improvements , but it would be so amazing if you just would fix the existing problems (toggle button for enhamrnoci change, master line hiding systems, dealing with slash regions etc) these things are really missed
How to you toggle an enharmonic change when C# could be B## or Db? Can you give us more details on www.Dorico.com/forum for the other items you mentioned as e.g. slash regions are included but I don't know what you mean by 'dealing with'
@@dorico I think you know what it is about 99% of enharmonic change is C# to Db o sth l th. I wish you would do BOTH. Having the window for this complicated cases but ALSO, as often asked, offer a button for the simple change.
there will be a summer savings offer this year - probably in July - if you can wait. Until then nothing is hindering you to work with the fully functional 4 week trial version :)
The constant improvements (and the enthusiasm you show for them) is one of the reasons I'm so glad I switched to Dorico!

Yes please!!!!!
You can see the flow names when you click on the button to choose which flows you want to print.
I don’t know how to tell you all my thanks, this software is unvaluable, thanks Dorico Team!

Oh we won't, but as soon as we start adding anything like that we'll have to add lots of things for fear of getting 'what about...' emails :)
Your software was already amazing and it is getting even better.... congratulations for your work and thank you for this presentation!

Thank you for the kind comments!
Thank you Anthony for this crystal clear compendium of new tweaks and features!
Incredible! If Dorico ever fully integrates with cubase there would be no reason to use other programs.
Or, alternatively, Dorico enhances its key editor to become a full-fledged DAW... it may only be a version or so away from that state...
@@DirkTomandl i would love it if they did that.
Wow, This is awesome! Thank you Dorico Team! Your hard work makes mine easier.
a great updation.Thank you !
Thanks for these improvements to Doric. I loved the function to invert given page colors, I've been waiting a long time for this. thank you team.
Color option for white-on-black scores, I'll be using that new feature right away in my score playthrough videos. 👍👍
Printing specific flooooows!
Thank you so much for the quicklook !!!
Dark mode on scores?! I love it!
The new lock duration will be so helpful, and I can’t believe Dorico now has a multi-band compressor!
Perfect!
Great great Team Thank you
Thanks for the color options … I always preferred blue for selection and Caret just like how I used to in Sibelius.
Now I feel right at home 🥰
White on black FINALLY !!!

You can see the instrument names in Play mode, so get in touch via a FB or our forum and give us more details? We don't have a loop function yet.

Can we finally import separate MIDI files in the same flow?

MIDI Learn in the key editor (for automation) would be really helpful

dorico dark mode? thank you so much
I hope that in the future there will be a note scanning function in Dorico.
The flow export is a very nice feature! Now we also need "Flow Name" as filename ingredient in the export filenames options ;)
I'll pass that on to the team, thanks
Dark mode + inverted
Wow
Olá, quando o Dorico será integrado a tecnologia Rewire com Cubase??
Rewire has been discontinued by it's manufacturers, but maybe we can create something similar one day.

if only dorico was on half price sale ;) and spell checker didn't underline dorico as a spelling error.
