Bach French Suite no. 6 in E Major, BWV 817 - Jacob Sung-ok Kwak 곽성옥

A suite or partita is a collection of dances. In performance, tempo changes are typically minimal, as the vitality of the dances relies on continuous movement and liveliness. I made an unconventional choice by incorporating a fermata (a pause of unspecified length) in the Menuet at around 13:46. I believe this moment not only fits musically but also provides a brief pause for introspection right before the energetic Gigue. This decision, stemming from a lifetime of musical intuition, makes sense from a scholarly point of view.
