Buy the cloud Poly-Fil here: amzn.to/3AT8pjU
Buy the Led's here: amzn.to/3ZeqmUm
Here I show how to turn your ceiling into beautiful fluffy clouds. My room is 13ft x 10ft. The length of each light is 32.8ft for a total of around 65ft. They have a sticky backing that makes for some very easy installation. Lights come with a remote control and also has many more features if you install the app to your phone.
The Poly-fy is a 20lb box. I did run out in the end because I put it on pretty thick. If you go a little less in thickness you will have plenty to do the entire ceiling.

these projects dont usually look like clouds, yours do. Gj man
I know what you mean. It comes down to light placement and using just enough poly to cover.
Oh my god… That looks beautiful! Well done!
Also, it’s nice to see you’re doing well, that makes me happy
Thank you so much and "back" at you my friend 😊
Actually looks like clouds. Most of these projects look like junk.
Thanks,
I’m planning on doing this and it better come out like that 😢
Or else?????? lol
That’s awesome man thanks for showing how to put them up it looked really confusing until I saw this video.
Great, something you will do yourself?
Harry potter vibes indeed
Could I take paper on the sealing and then put the led lights on so I don’t get glue on the sealing?
I would assume so as long as the tacks can hold the weight.
you are the best who used this cloud ever, it's just great
Thank you so much. Did you also see the updated video where I covered the walls with lightning tapestry and leds?
I have a treatment room with the same type of ceiling. If I wanted to remove it. Would it be easy?
If you do everything like I did then you would need to replace the ceiling panels as well. They are not too awful expensive.
I needed the right push to do this in my man cave after seeing how good yours are and seeing that my man cave has the exact same dimensions was definitely enough. My only question is because my ceiling is a vaulted ceiling would I need more of the clouds?
That's great, Maybe record yourself along the way and show us your progress. Have fun with it and if you need any tips reach out to me.
can the same app control multiple pack of LED strips from this same brand
Yes, I have the same hook up in my music room with 4 separate sets of lights an controllers. One controller will work the same for all.
Bro where i am buying a cotton?
Hi DR, you can buy the cotton at amazon. I put a direct link in the description
@@VictorPoulin Bro may dhondh raha hon aap mujhy please is cotton ka sahi name bata dain may Pakistan say hon yaha Amazon nahi hai bro
@@drunknown1180 आपको हिंदी में amazon की जरूरत नहीं है। Amazon आपको आपके देश में शिप करेगा। amzn.to/3V5Z9hk
Thinking it'd be easier to put the lights and the fluff material on a baseboard or veneer. Set them up on the ground and then drill them it into the ceiling. Save your shoulders some stress
Thanks and I absolutely would have loved to do it that way but how would you attach 2 separate strings of lights in the way I showed them on the ceiling? I would have to use 2 huge pieces of veneer and I would not have anything to screw them into as this is a floating ceiling. I do think your idea would work and would work best with maybe buying 4 sets of lights and using 4 separate pieces of veneer and a ceiling you can screw into. I bet if someone could make this happen they could custom build them for people as a business.
@@VictorPoulin Yea I was imagining using small tiles, maybe 2ftx2ft at most. Not sure why I thought that was a good idea. It could work with larger tiles if you set up the fluff, part it a little to feed the led channel, then reshape as needed. At that point, you're spending about as much time atlas posing anyways. Difficult to suggest a way to improve a job so well done. Thank you for your content and the time you took to comment.
@@johndough6173 No idea is a bad idea. You plant the idea and then work through it like we are :) It's fun actually and thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Hey, I was wondering about the ceiling area. I want to do the same design for my dorm room, but I don't know whether to use the 10lb or 20lb cotton pack.
I would go with the 20lb so you will be certain to have enough. I cut myself short.
I "love" this!!! Thank you for this step-by-step tutorial !!! I'm going to get started on mine ASAP...😃
You are so welcome!
If I were to do this and in a few years move houses how would it be to remove all the poly-fil from the ceiling? I don't mind the physical work needed for such a task, more so asking if it would cause any damage to the popcorn ceiling
Hi, is your popcorn ceiling really old. If yes than I am not sure how well it would stick. I do also think it would ruin the popcorn and it would pull off when you tried to remove the fill. I only did it like I did due to the type of ceiling I used. If I ever move I will either leave it up for the next buyer or I will just replace all the ceiling tiles.
Do the clouds Collect tons of dust?
Mine haven't. I keep the door closed to my room 95% of the time.
How did you zig zag them? I tried and part of the lights ripped? Also, do you glue the poly fill right by the lights or is it safe to glue on the lights if that makes sense? Please help and thanks
When I needed the lights to go in the opposite direction I put a small twist in it. It doesn't stick in that spot because it isn't touching but it doesn't matter because it will still be held in place by the sides next to it.
Yes, you can glue the fill directly onto the lights because the lights produce very little if any heat at all. Good luck :)
@@VictorPoulin ok cool thanks did your lights have a protective cover over them? Like plastic?
@@braddillion3304 No. Are you using the same type of lights as mine?
@@VictorPoulin no the brand is called govee. They look about the same as yours. I was just curious about the protective cover that comes with some lights.
@@braddillion3304 Mine are also Govee. Link to mine are in the description. Maybe you have a different style but same brand. Do you notice any heat coming off of yours? I just want to make sure you don't have any fire issues.
Wow that is amazing. This gave me inspiration to make one myself!! These instructions really helped. Thank you so much!
Awesome, do you plan on uploading a video?
Wow it looks lovely you just need to paint the walls. Are your lights sound sensitive?
Thank you so much. The lights are sound sensitive and works very well. Also I did finish the walls with tapestry and more lights. It is here if you would like to see. ua-cam.com/video/2c_xR-qZpGs/v-deo.html
I would recommend using adhesive spray. Saves a lot of time. Looks great though
Thanks man and I sooooooo wanted to use the spray but have horrible ventilation so the fumes would have drove me out. I have used it on many smaller jobs though.
does the glue rip off the paint when you eventually take it down?
That would entirely depend on what material you are working with. Put a dab of hot glue on the surface, let dry and peel it off. In my case it didn't matter as my ceiling needed to be replaced anyway.
@@VictorPoulinCan you do it without hot glue.
@@melloxd7844 I've seen some use tacks
Hey question, I'm renting. I'd like to do this to my room but I'm afraid of how the glue will interact with the ceiling. Is there a way to get it all off with ease?
I guess it would depend on the type of ceiling but I would say no unless it is tiles like mine and you can just replace them after. Some people are taping up poster boards first and then hot gluing the fill to the poster board.
may i know your ceiling dimensions and how many Kg's of polyfill did u have to use?
Hi, all that is in the description.
Be careful with it I’ve heard about studios catching on fire for this
Those fires were caused by not using the right lights. These LED's emit almost no heat. I should have mentioned that in the video. Darn it.
Can you please gave us a new link for the polyfil it’s not on Amazon anymore where else can I get the 20lb box
Actually if you use the link I provided you will see other options right above the original item.
Cool! I like it.
Thanks
That looks awesome.. thanks for sharing
Bliatttt 20 pounds!? That is like 8-9 kg
Cost me 200 Swedish Kr for 1 kg ..
If you bought it from the US it would cost you 567 in your currency for one box. They must sell it in your country as well? It is just pillow fill.
hey Bro my english is not the best so i hope you can answer me here... What can i do that i dont see where the light strains are? because i want the effekt like you that i have the light everywhere... hope you understand what i mean....
Hi Jo, Not a problem. Put the lights in the same design I did in my video at 1:06 and just do a zig zag pattern. Do you have the same lights as me?
@@VictorPoulin not yet... i am searching in the internet for the stuff i need, but i saw in other videos that everybody can see the light strains under the cloud stuff not like you in your video... next week i wanna start so thanks for helping my friend. greetings from Germany
@@joa1479 You are very welcome my friend. Also the fluff does need to be thick enough as well when glueing it on. Post a video when you finish yours. Love to see it.
Damn... That is amazing, on the thumbnail I thought you were outside looking at the clouds or something that is very clever
I can stare at them for hours with the right music.
@@VictorPoulin that must be interesting
@@VictorPoulin ey you can make led go on and off in synch with music, thad be pretty dope
@@billsus6046 You sure can. I show that in the video where I installed the wall tapestries.
Thanks for this video I’ve been wanting to do this for so long so thank you!
You are most welcome.
Now add few shower heads and there u go u have rain also
Nice
Excellent job! Your clouds have dimensions unlike in any other videos, is it just uneven placement of the foam?
Thank you!
Thank you Sofia, You said foam? do you mean the poly-fill? If yes then I purposely made large and small clumps when gluing to the ceiling. Alter them and you should get the same effect. Are you considering doing this?
Careful you don't let a flame get to it. Although it looks good and is a good effort put in it, if it catches fire, it could be fatal. Be safe.
Id make the ceiling lined with shiny metal white silver balloons! Taped upside down to the ceiling with more balloons in the gaps
Great idea. Will you?
@@VictorPoulin dude this was a fantastic video! I love the pink color here. Are there any risks of spiders long term?? I typed my comment so I wouldn't forget my idea haha, but your channel is awesome! I saw the Giant Shuriken 🔥 *hiyyahhh!* video and clicked to see what else you posted and you're living wonderful! I love the decoration stuff. I have a flame emulation led bulb, you might love something like that. In a dark lampshade it's very nice. I have an orange one but I know blue ones exist too.
CAN YOU USE DOUBLE SIDED TAPE?
Hmmmm, possibly
How many ft of lights did you use and how big is the room
1:55
That is so nice keep up the good work
Thank you so much and will do.
This looks awesome
Thank you so much
are you able to do this even with a ceiling fan still attached?
Absolutely
Glue can be used also in concrete wall?
How do i know how much poly fill to get
Compare your ceiling to mine and adjust for the amount needed.
Where do I buy the clouds from?
The link is in my description for the cloud material and lights
hahaha what kind of reading rainbow transition was that lol
After seeing your "Poke mans" video I would ASSume you understood this video very well lol.
Yo im buying this
Awesome, if you need any help along the way let me know.
Isn’t polyfill a toxic material that decomposes into a hazardous gas with an addition of heat?
Yes it is a toxic material but in this case it is not going to decompose with heat as there is nothing to heat it up. The lights I used are led and produce little to no heat. A better choice of material would be cotton or wool but the price is twice as much. If I had to do all over again for someone else I would use cotton.
This is the first time ive ever seen this and it looks effin great! When i seen the thumbnail for the video i genuinely thought that they were real clouds and that the video took place outside until i clicked on the vid and read and watched it!
Thank you so much. One thing I do not do is clickbait. There is so much of that going on with almost all video platforms. At one time UA-cam didn't allow it and now you see it all the time.
This is sick bruh. I just did a cloud lamp
NICE, did you post a video? I also made the cloud light in another video. Love em.
Spectacular demonstration
Thank you. Is it something you will also try.
Very creative
Thanks Zach, much appreciated.
it may be a stupid question, but is this a long term decoration ? i mean, i want to do this in my bedroom and i am afrad that it will not hold, or the cotton will turn yellow.
For me yes, this was for long term but because I have removable tiles I can replace it back to normal at anytime. I do not believe it will yellow in color just as long as the room is not smoked in.
That looks sooo dope!
Thank you my friend.
Jepara Jawa tengah Indonesia Asia hadir master
Thank you my friend.
🙏🏼💎✨🍀
Wow that looks awesome, great work!
Thank you so much. It was a very fun project.
Do you think the clouds and lights would be able to stick to a popcorn ceiling?
I'm afraid it might not.
@@VictorPoulin aww man thanks for the feedback tho!
@@GamerNerve Is it important that you don't ruin the popcorn ceiling? If it doesn't matter than try and just glue up a few pieces and see how well they hold.
looks awesome,, gave me some inspiration for my daughters bedroom
Awesome, if they are old enough try and get them to help. It really is a 2 man-woman job.
I KNOW IM LATE BUT THIS LOOKS AMAZING
Thank you so much. Something you are thinking about doing?
Is he using cotton balls?
I wish but they don't sell them big enough.
Yoo Vic, that looks so sick hope you have a good Christmas
Thank you so much and 'back' at you my friend.

@@VictorPoulin alright i got you
My mom said it shipped but idk when its coming
Bro I have a question please reply to me can you get the poly fill on the Home Depot or Lowe’s cause it’s impossible for me find it those are the 2 places I haven’t look
I have a link in the description for you to find it on Amazon.
Does it fall down?
Not at all. It is glued on.
Nice
Thanks
Why do you have 3 PA speakers in the room of that some 🧐
I have 6 total speakers. 1 PA speaker in each corner and 2 subs on the floor. Did you mean to write "size" instead of "some" ?
Yes I meant to say size, but why do you have them there?
@@logic7736 This is my music room where I invite friends and family.
@@VictorPoulin oh ok
Right on man very cool
Thanks Jackson
do you need to take off the ceiling fan? or can you leave it?
Totally up to you my friend. I removed mine as I wanted to hang something different. Just measure the distance from you ceiling fan blade to the ceiling and keep the cloud tighter to the ceiling there.
@@VictorPoulin thank you
Very, very cool.
Thanks
No fire risk ?
None at all.
@@VictorPoulin pretty cool !
@@babouche62215 Thanks man. Are you thinking about doing this?
Looks Amazing
Thank Dylan, is it something you are thinking about doing?
Looks great 👍
Thanks Will
That's a cool way to make a toasty room! It seems like it'd be warmer in there with all the cotton fill.
Thanks, It may help a bit
is there anything else you can use to attach the clouds on to the ceiling i just dont know how i will feel will somthing permanent there?
Some people attach it to poster boards and then tape the poster board to the ceiling. You can see how they do it in other videos.
@@VictorPoulin Thank you so much! Love your videos!
@@JakeyBears_44 Not a prob and you are very welcome.
