Actually the greatcleaver now has a chance to apply the vulnerability effect which caps out at doing max 2 times the incoming dmg, before in test builds and rc versions it used to be absolutely broken and could easily reach thousands of dps unenchanted as it could be spam clicked to stack the parasite viral effect, yet even after the nerf it's still the best of sentient weapons. Just a cool backstory for this weapon, also you can dip any weapon in a cauldron with the vulnerability potion to achieve the same ability of the cleaver, the cleaver now is basically an infinitely dipped vulnerability weapon

If you have a diamond Nunchaku with the Blessed Edge enchant, you can quite literally melt the Wither. i did it with Blessed Edge V with full diamond. he was pretty much stunlocked for the entire fight. The hardest part about it was the Tremors that kept spawning around because of the explosions EDIT: if you're into ranged, but find yourself struggling with ammo, try getting a healing pad, put a fence around it, and put a chicken ontop of the pad. you can then just slowly shear feathers off the chicken as its being healed. Hope i helped someone out!
Another perk in using fiery edge II is the fact that itll stack with Mortalitas VIII. The mortalitas damage increase does not get negated by parasites adapting to your weapons, so you can deal more to the larger beasts despite them slowly adapting to your weapon. Ash destroyer still probably mvp but at leas there are more ways to build god weapons.

Ice or fire dragonbone nunchuks in main hand and greatcleaver in offhand, is just awesome. You can swing nunchuks continuously and use the cleaver at same time, the damage is huge
Best melee weap in my opinion Early game: saber for frontal gaming or spear for safe gameplay (pike also good if you want to be really save, but dps will be low due to offhand shield) Mid game Quarterstaff: decent dps and aspd, area dmg (greatsword aoe dmg is still best, but quarterstaff single target dps is way more than greatsword). Oh high aspd also makes flat dmg buff (strength and sharpness) more valuable Halberd or pike: high dmg, good especially if you have arc slash Scarlet reaver ofc Rapier, nunchaku or dagger: low dmg, but single handed, so can be used with shield or dual wield. Also with enough flat dmg bonus, it can match even halberd in dps due to high aspd(need at least double ring of strength to be effective). End game: Rapier, nunchaku, dagger for same reason (those three even better bcs end game you will have like strength 4 and sup sharpness) Halberd: high dmg/hit, good to avoid adaptation from parasit Pike: for safe distance Sentient scythe: good for almost every case bcs it's aoe can hit a large area Sentient axe: good for heavily armored enemy (or have high base armor like pvp, parasites or dragons) but useless everywhere else Sentient cleaver: highest dps bcs it increase dmg for every hit, but passive are useless if you one hit kill target Sentient greatsword: Just no

@@jerrytpl yes, even if u manage to neglect mining fatigue via ankh shield, there is an invisible damage nerf if you have something in your offhand, and the nerf scale with your enchants as well so it is a pretty strong nerf
somebody else mentioned this before, but ice-melee weapons are stronger in the end-game due to the slowness and 'falling down' effect those weapons give, HOWEVER if you lack fiery edge, fire aspect or similar or just want cooked meat/are mid-game, fire dragonbone has arguably more uses... end-game it's all about preference but the ice variation is better (bows do NOT have any change except their skin so pick whatevs u prefer) ps : ash destroyer is superior to fiery edge on any melee weapon if the player intends to go to lost cities where the dps matters a LOT, ash will double the final damage output hence being better than fiery edge bypassing i-frames, fiery edge is hence less of an option for end-game but certainly a decent option for mid-game...
I'd disagree with your assessment. You can put fiery edge with viper and envenomed or mortalitas which I think would be a better build. I'm gonna do some testing and a video on it soon though. Also, I did forget to mention that the fiery edge enchant is even better when used with feral claw, which increases attack speed and therefore increases value from fiery edge. Also, parasites are weak to fire so I'd say fire nunchuks is better than ice. Also, your points conflict eachother. You say Ice variant is better but also that ash destroyer is better? You can't have Ash destroyer on ice variant cause iced variant stops any burning....
@@SomeNutzGuy actually ice variant still gets the 2x damage from ash regardles of no visible fire being there, making it a better dps option for LC, haven't really tested fiery edge tbh, it's only a bit weaker tho so a max fiery edge build is less good but still very effective against parasites most likely (uc an kill every parasite but the 'bosses' which do sometimes adapt (ancient overlord adapts half-way when u have a max nunchuk and no dps-increasing baubles/qualities/race, so it may be better to have a backup bow (silver is risky but viable for lost cities, youd just wanna get the 'crouch toggle' mod since else, like my hand, you'll be missing your pinky xD. from my testing, the ash build with fire aspect deals the most damage to parasites, which does matter since that's the end-game and you can basically beat anything in all the other dimensions anyhow at that point. as for the rest, would be pog if you included the 'need' (pretty much lol) for a bow or 2nd weapon if one wants to reliably kill bosses / farm the blood tear thingies for the better parasite weapons, i myself did lost cities with bow+nunchaku, shield has a better defencive value, but i did make myself a backup-max enchanted ice-saber as well with luck magnification so i didnt have to buff at all (with resist 3, balloon, dragons eye and broken heart) in the end most weapons are okay with maxed enchants, even if they're not ideal, but even a max nunchaku would randomly get adapted to by some 'adapted mobs' (not bosses) so any dps would be great imo... also getting the wrath pendant should help a LOT for fighting, but isn't necessary for loot and run
Well, i once played it , but i still love RL Craft, the point is, that the game, one day i wanted to play, began to show the Minecraft. 1.12.2 instead of the RL Craft Loading Screen. When i entered my world after that, everything modded was gone except for the battle tower i was bridging up at the side. He just stood there cuz they are built with VANILLA Blocks only ( ya know) .
Was playing co-op with my friend lastnight and killed a blighted zombie in a battle tower and it dropped the sentient greatclever and we’ve only been playing for like 3 hours
has the halberd's shield break effect much of an use in rlc ? the most obvious enemies that come to mind would be the blight battletower-golems and the mobs in the 'house with 4 underground floors going into four directions dungeon' if that makes any sense, a lot of the zombies spawning there have those fancy shields... do you know whether the mobs can use those shields at all ? (never seen an enchanted shield drop from a mob (so probably no natural protect 2 on em), but maybe they get some buff from it other than their looks ?) ps : if you could eventually make a vid about the lost cities that would be great xD i was initially scared to go there, ended up doing them entirely in un-buffed silver (with a few close calls durability-wise ngl) but since shiv debuffed buffing up with potions and wine, i'd love to hear your opinion or tips regarding that ! keep it up !!

Yes and no. Overall they were nerfed to stop working with shields but some things were fixed like them not having a recipe for dragon blood variants. I would do fire though, not ice, personally.

I think I'm sold on pike being the best, but what do you think about quarterstaff? I'm pretty sure it's bottom of the barrel but could it be viable if fully enchanted? I like the aesthetic of it, but if it's not good enough for lost cities then it's a no go. 🤠

use an axe with bluntness 5 , broken (-15% dmg) and purification 5, the axe can both be golden (for golden osmosis) or wooden since the damage should be 1 either way... as for the method of doing it, the player should always have no attack and crit boost in the L menu and then it works pretty well, so keep that in mind before leveling offensive menus

Otherwise, there are stronger debuffs with viral stacking til you can get 1 shot. Stronger enemies that have more 'abilities'. An Assimiliated Ender Dragon boss that can spawn on you at any moment. Plus more. I'm failing to see how it's easier.... 🤣 Literally everyone I have ever spoken to about it is talking about how the Lost Cities are harder. I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
I do something similar but I just start with the halberd from the get go and skip shields entirely. Being able to 2 shot skeles at the iron stage is great and my philosophy has always been that the longer enemies are allowed to stick around the more chances there are for things to go wrong. Then I switch to a pike late game when I have strong enchants before sentients. I used to use the shield strats for early game but I've had way more success just using halberds from the get go. You also learn a lot faster cause the shields a bit of a crutch.

It significantly increases your clear speed, for me the best defense is an overwhelming offense at all stages of a run. Switching from shield to halberd early was painful at first but once I learned to use it properly my early game success rate on hc went up significantly.
I like Iced dragonbone rapier because it has good dps and defensive. With Rune piercing IV, the passive will proc 100% all time. It used to be better with 200% damage bonus but oh well

No, but when fully enchanted, flat dmg from supreme sharpness, strength, and sinfull buff will makes rapier as well as spartan dagger do significant dmg, only behind sentient and nunchuk due to fast aspd.
If the late game weapon is just to use the greatcleaver. Then the other weapons seem to be only used until you get that weapon, so you recommend a pike, but what about flamed dragon bone halberd? not quite as much reach, but a decent bit more damage. Do you think the halberd would be a viable weapon to use in the lost city to earn a greatcleaver, or should I run pike? (I have't enchanted a god of either of these weapons, I'm getting villager book trades right now)
somebody did a test video and apparently ash destroyer out performs fiery edge in dps on nunchucks (they dont stack) Also would love to see an updated lost cities guide, great video as always
@@SomeNutzGuy Yea I was surprised as well. He said in his extensive testing ash destroyer is a massive damage increase that ends up doing a bit more overall. I've also heard other people mention that bosses are immune to fiery edge bypass. Looking forward to the lost cities video
fiery edge doesn't have any damage on it's own besides light mobs on fire and invulnerability frames which is crucial to register your damage viper, envenom and poison stone are far more superior damage source even out performing Surpreme sharp and Ash destroyer (plus ash destroyer only works on weapons which has by default aspect fire like flamed version weapons and many so mobs are immune to fire)

As destroyer is always better. Even though Fiery Edge allows you to attack faster, Ash Destroyer does more DPS.

No, but when fully enchanted, flat dmg from supreme sharpness, strength, and sinfull buff will makes rapier as well as spartan dagger do significant dmg, only behind sentient and nunchuk due to fast aspd.
Absolutely NO love for Mace enjoyers in here...esp how many Undead you encounter early game. :(
Silver mace is POG for your first few battle towers :)
If the late game weapon is just to use the greatcleaver. Then the other weapons seem to be only used until you get that weapon, so you recommend a pike, but what about flamed dragon bone halberd? not quite as much reach, but a decent bit more damage. Do you think the halberd would be a viable weapon to use in the lost city to earn a greatcleaver, or should I run pike? (I have't enchanted a god of either of these weapons, I'm getting villager book trades right now)
Halberd would work. I just prefer the pike. You can increase damage with lots of different ways but there limited ways to increase reach.

Greatcleaver if you count that as a sword. Otherwise swords aren't best IMO.
somebody did a test video and apparently ash destroyer out performs fiery edge in dps on nunchucks (they dont stack)

@@SomeNutzGuy Yea I was surprised as well. He said in his extensive testing ash destroyer is a massive damage increase that ends up doing a bit more overall. I've also heard other people mention that bosses are immune to fiery edge bypass.

fiery edge doesn't have any damage on it's own besides light mobs on fire and invulnerability frames which is crucial to register your damage viper, envenom and poison stone are far more superior damage source even out performing Surpreme sharp and Ash destroyer
(plus ash destroyer only works on weapons which has by default aspect fire like flamed version weapons and many so mobs are immune to fire)
the person you are talking about is using creative mode to enchant.
you can't have ash destroyer with viper together
