Well it has two Spider-Woman, Araña, Madame Web of course.
Ezekiel Sims is the bad guy who's whole thing was having the powers of Spider-Man before Peter became Spider-Man and deciding to found a business as a base of operations and funding first and taking so long to do that, that Peter Parker as Spider-Man appeared and he got jealous and set Peter up. He had 20 comic appearances in 616 over 3 years before being killed off.

They're definitely creatively bankrupt, at least
Because theatrical is a tiny side hustle for the big media conglomerates. Disney doesn't even have theatrical as a sub division in it's financial statements it's part of Content Sales/Licensing and Other which is a sub division of the Entertainment division.
Sony spent on Morbius, Kraven and Madame Web combined less than Disney spent on the Marvels so Sony will make a profit just from the licencing to streaming as the films get sold to Netflix, Disney+ and many others.
They sold a LOT of walkmans back in the 80s.
This will truly be a movie that comes out in theaters!

We all knew how this would go, this just confirms it, Sony never learns or listens
They do they make cheap films that are profitable between theatrical and licencing revenue. It's why Kraven, Morbius and Madame Web combined cost less than the Marvels.

Yes. But also no.
oh boy... how to even start. In the comics she also can see the future but is a blind old lady. She more or less controls/maniupulates events to "protect the web". And Ezekiel was more or less a sort of Not-Spider-Man who was sort of Not-evil-but-also-kinda-evil. It's a mess.
@@Preske Also, all 3 of the supporting characters are variations on Spider-Woman. One of them may be Spider-Girl/Araña. As you said. It's a mess.
I am genuinely shocked that Sony Pictures is able to consistently put out the worst movies imaginable. You'd expect them to put out a mediocre movie by accident every once in awhile.

For the life of me, I do not understand this modern trend of putting a 2-3 second pre-trailer immediately before the trailer. What's the point of it? I'm already here. I'm going to watch the trailer. I clicked on the video already. There's no need to hook me in like you would with a thumbnail or whatever. I'm watching already. Why do they do this? What purpose does it serve? I'm completely baffled.

I thought this was a joke but then I remembered the Morbius exists and it was so joked about that Sony put it back in cinemas so it could flop twice. Kraven is the same energy, a flop before its first trailer even starts. What is even the point of a Madame Web movie? She's literally a background character in Spider-Man. At this rate we'll be getting a movie about Robbie from JJJ's office.
They have to keep making movies every two years else SpiderMan rights shall be reverted to Marvel Studios.

Usually, Sony puts the after-credit scene in the trailer, like they did with Morbious and Kraven but I don't think they done that here.
What is it about Sony movies that when you see them you immediately say "oh yeah, this is a Sony movie." I can't describe it. But it's a very specific brand of cheap-looking crap that immediately gives away "a Sony films production."
