Good to see you posting videos again. I also read Brideshead Revisited for the first time this winter, and I really loved it. I was surprised by the heavy religious element, but it was interesting. I enjoyed the Sehnsucht-like implications of Waugh's suggestion that all of Charles' loves were 'forerunners' to God. But I think to me it was more of a story of lost happiness, where Charles' relationship with Sebastian was at the core of the novel, and everything that came after was in one way or another a sublimation or disappointment... though that's probably not the main takeaway Waugh would've intended.
I relate to what you said about spirituality. I've stopped saying I'm spiritual because that sounds so new age-y and tends to give people the wrong idea, but I don't know if there's a better term for it haha.

Is the more recent book and film Saltburn based on Brideshead? I've not read Brideshead but your recap makes it sound very similar
I think the filmmakers didn't explicitly say that it was, but looking at the synopsis the basic plot is identical to it.
