Yes wear gloves and protection. I know someone who contracted Hepatitis from flood water during a cleanup operation as a volunteer and it eventually killed her. This was about 40 years ago and medicine has come a long way but the fact is that there are bad bacteria and toxins in that flood water and you need to take care. ❤❤❤
Cleaning up and replacing “stuff” is the easiest part. Thank goodness there were no casualties, and that’s because of you guys. Jami’s thinking ahead and y’all provided a safe place. What a blessing, you’re all still together.❤
An added bonus to having the animals at LHL & Meg's moms, is that they aren't in the way & having to be taken care of, while the cleanup is going on. The Texas Baptist Men have lots of resources and are going to the Houston area. Don’t know what communities they will be in. They will bring a shower truck, laundry truck, food truck, and I don’t know what else. They also have chain saw crews. They have been told the flooding is worse than Harvey. Jamie- you can wash your horse blankets- good many of them are machine washable. Just go down to a commercial grade laundry mat (use the big Wash machines) and wash the blankets there. Glad to see Nate greeting you. he is telling you all is well. Stay safe and hope the rain stops and the water recedes and get back to normal.
The room will be shiny in no time! That’s a lot of work and can be overwhelming unless you just do like you’re doing and work on one thing. You’re such a hard worker!! In a world where people seem to compete for who's the biggest victim, it's just so beautiful to see an entire family chanting the same mantra. We are so blessed. And you are blessed. It's beautiful to see how you guys bless each other through these hardships. That little compound is a shining example of what our world should be and how we should treat each other. Wow! Sending prayers to Southeast Texas and all of Morrow Hill. Conroe area holds a special place in my heart as my first significant other was from Conroe. One of the first places that I visited in Texas. They gave me the most hospitable welcome to this Yankee girl. All of these floods give a new meaning to “Everything is big in Texas!”
Little Nate was letting everyone know that all are safe on Morrow hill. Everyone working together will get the repairs done but the healing from the emotional stress that all of you and the animals are going through will take a long time to heal. I’ve been through hurricanes and a tornado in Florida so I can relate too what y’all are feeling. May the Lord bless everyone of you.

The Texas Baptist Men have lots of resources and are going to the Houston area. Don’t know what communities they will be in. They will bring a shower truck, laundry truck, food truck, and I don’t know what else. They also have chain saw crews. They have been told the flooding is worse than Harvey.
So glad you had a plan to save the animals.

Jamie- you can wash your horse blankets- good many of them are machine washable. Just go down to a commercial grade laundry mat (use the big Wash machines) and wash the blankets there. Glad to see Nate greeting you. he is telling you all is well. Stay safe and hope the rain stops and the water recedes and get back to normal.
The room will be shiny in no time! That’s a lot of work and can be overwhelming unless you just do like you’re doing and work on one thing. You’re such a hard worker!! My heart is breaking for the people who have lost everything, the drive to ISS was so sad, animals displaced, cars and homes flooded, I'm glad the horses blankets are salvageable and happy to see Moo get fresh water and also to see Nate is doing well ❤️
This may not be a popular comment but everyone is entitled to an opinion. I hope Tina quits getting negativity about what transpired the other day. Some were working their butts of while a few felt entitled to basicly goof off. I'm not picking on anyone but Tina was absolutely right calling a spade a spade. You got to say, I absolutely love the prevalent attitude on Morrow Hill! I've lost track of how many times each of you has said the words we are so blessed. In a world where people seem to compete for who's the biggest victim, it's just so beautiful to see an entire family chanting the same mantra. We are so blessed. And you are blessed. It's beautiful to see how you guys bless each other through these hardships. That little compound is a shining example of what our world should be and how we should treat each other. Yeah, y'all are family and we all know that family fights sometimes. I would imagine that to be true in your family as well. But I got to say, y'all really have each other's backs and take care of each other. It's a beautiful thing. Thank you for sharing it with us. And it feels like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders. Just remember, you have your family and there are a whole lot of us out here who care about all of you a great deal. Wow! Sending prayers to Southeast Texas and all of Morrow Hill. Conroe area holds a special place in my heart as my first significant other was from Conroe. One of the first places that I visited in Texas. They gave me the most hospitable welcome to this Yankee girl. All of these floods give a new meaning to “Everything is big in Texas!”
Little Nate was letting everyone know that all are safe on Morrow hill. Everyone working together will get the repairs done but the healing from the emotional stress that all of you and the animals are going through will take a long time to heal. I’ve been through hurricanes and a tornado in Florida so I can relate too what y’all are feeling. May the Lord bless everyone of you.

I’m glad Lester got the other properties, I too wouldn’t want to go thru it again, but there you all are chipping in to help each other. Be careful, you can’t do it all at once. Lester’s fences did well in reality, the was a big ole tree.

I am so glad Everyone is okay and Survived this horrible ordeal with minimal damage. Yes, you all have a lot of clean up ahead and you lost some things that may or may not be able to be replaced, lives cannot. Thank God for LHL and being able to bring the babies somewhere else. Praying for all of you. If I was local I would stop by and offer a helping hand but I live in New York and that would be difficult. So if anyone lives close and you weren’t affected by this flood please do your due diligence and help your neighbors!! ❤❤
