  • Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! Years ago I looked at some of the worst content on the platform where family friendly characters were brought to do the most unsavory things. With so many changes to UA-cam, has it survived? Sadly so. Thanks for watching!

I'm a waitress at Olive Garden and I swear I always see young children watching this content on their parents' phones as they're eating, whether or not I'm serving that table. The kids look so braindead, and it surprises me that the parents don't even bother to check what their children are watching!

From my experience, teachers and professors don't even bother to turn off UA-cam autoplay, and may not even know it exists. They would sooner pause the next video that's loaded up than just turn the thing off. I assume parents don't do this either, hence why the kids end up travelling down the weird UA-cam "kids" algorithm rabbit hole. So much of this could be avoided if parents paid remotely any attention to what their kids look at online, and used the tools at their disposal to block said content, but they don't.

If they're going to just let their kid watch that kind of stuff, it sounds like they don't even care about the kid. If they didn't want it, they shouldn't have had it. I know a lot of people probably don't realize this, but It's a choice. They made theirs.

Like, *THIS* kind of content wasnt the most common one, but back at the time, there was actually tons of ''kid friendly videos'' that contained screamers or sometimes even terrible things.
I can say that by experience, i remember a youtube video (probably back in 2010 or 2009), that was basically a episode of the pink panther.
Then suddenly the video showed some scenes randomly of a zombie movie, where soldiers were shooting the infected in a pretty gory way.

This exact form of things didn't exist, but even in the dial-up era there was plenty of equally terrible brain-rotting things geared towards kids around. What is best if you want to utilize tech for kids is to make a playlist of shows or channels that are actually good and have your kids/siblings watch it. I have a 5 year old sister and I made her a playlist with Dave and Ava when she was 2 and a couple of UA-cam channels with 7-10 year old kids that would talk in a normal voice or read and play games while storytelling. There's hundreds of channels shoveling out this stuff. The strangest ones are just cars running over stuff. Not BeamNG cars (though that low-effort content is rampant), but actual cars, running over toys, drink bottles, and syringes. Other channels feature blatant animal abuse, setting up "play" scenarios with monkeys and rabbits. The one, odd thread of commonality is the "Bin Bon Monkey Duck" titles. Dunno where it came from, but it's *everywhere*.
But yes, they 100% do not care about kid safety. I was sucked down a rabbit hole of (popular game featuring square-bodied avatars that's not minecraft) scammers, and one has been running a looping fake livestream since last September. The sad part is that those kids acted really bizarre sometimes and I found out that they were spending a lot of time on Phones because their parents were busy or going through a rough patch and couldn't pay attention to what their children were doing. To me at least this proves that this kind of content can seriously impact those kids developement and once they grow older, they will have problems connecting to the others just because they developed anti-social behaviour and interests... These videos leave an impact on children more significant than ruining restaurant experiences. Let me tell you what happened with my sister.
My 8-year-old sister has been a phone drone for as long as she could use a phone. For a long time, she had been watching videos of questionable quality. Bringing this up to my parents brought only annoyance-they just wanted the electronics to shut her up it seems.
This brings me to a few weeks ago, where I wanted to show my sister a video on her new tablet. She reacted strongly towards this, only wanting to choose videos that were on the home screen and recommended videos. While she was out of the room, I checked her query history to find she searched "honoka diarrhea" or something of the sort. The videos that showed up were extremely questionable, but not downright e__licit. I brought this up to her and she seemed a little embarrassed, and I let her know if she watched one thing that was weird and she didn't want to embarrass herself in front of friends, she could remove the search from her history. I thought maybe she just clicked something from the auto complete.
However, something I saw when she looked more through her query history struck me as odd. She searched this topic multiple times and in between other searches. This means she was actively looking for these videos. I made a note in my head to check her view history later to make sure she wasn't looking for inapproriate content using the recommendations.
Later, I look in her history and see what I feared. In the thumbnails, there were videos without fabric attire, and MUCH more e&&&&&it content. These were downright f&&&s& videos. There were so many of them from just two days, and I knew there would be more if I looked further back.
Of course, I told my father and he actually took this a little bit more seriously. Though I doubt that this will put an end to the mindless video access. I do not completely blame the platform. This is a fault of parents. However, these blatant money makers of videos marketed for small people but without the quality that should come with content for little people should not be permitted to thrive on the platform.
Had to censor because this wouldn't post. Surprisingly the last paragraph was considered the most offensive, making it hard to edit.

The ones who were raised right never wanted to watch the tablet, knew how communicate their needs, etc. Whereas the iPad babies would constantly talk about their tablet and all the childhood things such as huggywuggy and elsa and where much more aggressive and anti-social. While on the subject: Disney have absolutely ruined Marvel/Spiderman - they claimed; they didn't want Spiderman associated with death, but here's the kicker! Old school Marvel could actually be pretty dark!
There is a comic where Peter Parker slowly becomes a hideous giant Spider creature. Look at everything to do with carnage - a sadistic serial killer villain. Marvel used to be as dark as DC (Punisher, Noir stories, etc)
Disney have neutered the edginess to *all* of Marvel in general and that's why the new comics and films are so bland... there is no shock moments anymore, no challenging dilemma's or mature themes, it's just dumb action without any weight.
Old Marvel wouldn't have cared about the grave stone drama because they weren't as soft as Disney.
Same happened to Star Wars. Episode 4 - Obi Wan cuts a man's hand off in a gory fashion!
Episode 2 - Jango gets beheaded!
Episode 3 - Anakin is peer-pressured into executing Dooku in a very brutal beheading.

The worst (and sad) thing is that I've actually seen this content being watched by kids IRL. During my retail job, often times you'll get parents come in with their children, and all I'll see is them in their buggy, or if they're old enough, walking around with their parent's phone watching this mind numbing stuff whilst the parent just wanders around by themselves doing their own thing. There's also the scenario where the kid'll be screaming, crying and shouting and they'll just give the kid the phone and let them do as they please, or worse yet just let UA-cam autoplay just go...
It sucks as the kid doesn't necessarily understand what they're watching but they consume it anyways, usually to no fault of their own. The kids just look so... I dunno, "stare-off-into-spaceish" whilst consuming it if that makes sense? The parents just don't pay them any attention or even check what they're watching at all.

My first born was born shortly after the elsagate issues were "squashed" here on UA-cam. I was still skeptical about if all of these kinds of videos actually were wiped away. My active digital footprint online started at eight years old with unsupervised internet access, I am 26 today, I and fairly familiar with poor online conduct and depravity.. There was a brief moment when they were about two that I would allow them to scroll through UA-cam videos while I took a minute to clean, cook some food, I always did my best to stay in the room or within earshot of the phone while UA-cam was on. Peeking in on what they were watching frequently.. (it honestly surprises me when parents lack knowledge of Internet safety, especially parents my age) I did not utilize UA-cam kids at this time, but realized that UA-cam kids is not safe, either, shorly after. It was not Elsa and Spider-Man videos, or baby syringe videos. It was their favorite characters like Peppa pig, once again, being posted in provocative and violent manners. Maybe some of these videos flew under the radar, or new people started posting again. Not sure. All I know is, when Grandma tried to gift them an old phone at 3, it went into storage.. because, just.. no??
I'm very particular about how I approach Internet safety and censorship for my children after my experience of having unsupervised internet access, especially so young. I am not excited about the day they acquire a cell phone.. at the end of the day, leave the fucking children alone. It's one thing if you want to make a fan-made video, but these depraved assholes are marketing these videos in such ways that they seem to mesh and with other recommended children videos. Children based content on such a public domain such as UA-cam never really made much sense to me to start with..

What I wanna say is, no need to rush. They'll get addicted to this kinda shit early enough, there is no need for small children to have these devices at all. But there are filter options on the phones, you can ban keywords and sites, and you can also teach your children to use the net right once they hit a certain age.

For Gen Z, it was cartoons like Happy Tree Friends & Don’t Hug me I’m Scared. For Gen Alpha, it’s UA-cam videos like “HUGGY WUGGY MEETS FNF BOYFRIEND & BECOMES A N*ZI AT 3:00 AM (NOT CLICKBAIT)” & other Elsagate digital gruel

I was at the movies theaters a month ago or so, and I saw these little kids bringing there Poppy Playtime plushies to the movie...It concerned me because this game IS NOT for little kids...I felt bad for the kids because they probably think it's kid friendly or something. And the parents not giving a damn about this...I remember saying something along the lines of, "Those little kids should not even know about this game...I bet their parents probably don't even know what Huggy Wuggy is or else they would of not got them those plushies.." the kids were swinging the plushies around and stuff. But it saddens me to see how these young kids are into Poppy Playtime when it's not even for kids. And the kids looked like they were 4 or 5...what's worse is that it seemed like the parents didn't even care or anything. But obviously, I didn't say anything to the parents. It's none of my business. But still, everytime I go in public, I see these little kids glued to their devices...I wish these parents would actually do their job...and this point, these parents are just straight up lazy and shouldn't even have kids if this is going to keep happening. When I was growing up, I watched stuff like Nickelodeon, PBS Kids, Qubo, Cartoon Network and stuff. I wish these parents would actually look on their kids devices and monitor them...

And also, I want to mention something else too. I am a teenager btw. When I use to be in school, everyone was talking about Squid Game, Friday Night Funkin and all of the other trendy stuff. I was never into that stuff, so I didn't care. But I remember everyone in my class begging and screaming at the teachers to put on Squid Game...I was like one of the only few who sat there in silence. Thinking, "bro, why y'all so obsessed with this show? It's literally not even for our age group. It's for adults...y'all wanna get the teacher in trouble...?" I wanted to mention this because, them wanting Squid Game on in class could literally get the teacher fired. And they should also be mindful that there are some people who don't like violence and stuff and may get triggered seeing it...I'm not one of those people. But I do care when it comes to that stuff. And I would never tell the teacher to put on something I know we shouldn't even be watching in class. I have never watched Squid Game and never plan too. And all of them would either talk about this or TikTok the whole entire time.

"In 2008, my mom walked in on me watching a Shane Dawson video that I was not yet ready to watch. This experience made me realize that the internet is not a safe place for children and that it is the responsibility of parents to protect their kids from inappropriate content.
It is important to note that the internet is not a babysitter and that parents should actively supervise their children's online activities. One way to do this is by using UA-cam Kids, a version of UA-cam that is specifically designed for children. A better solution would be for parents to seek out educational content that is appropriate for their children's age and maturity level.
Policing the internet makes it less enjoyable for the average person. In light of this, I may choose to exclusively use the deep web (specifically i2p) for online communities and entertainment.
In conclusion, it is crucial for parents to take an active role in protecting their children from the potential dangers of the internet."
