Great video! Thank you so much! How could I do a flow map if I just have Origin latitude, longitude and Destination latitude, longitude but not Origin and Destination (because it's internal move between one city)?
Would be amazing but cannot put in lat and long because defaults to count of lat and count of long. Did all the setup in PowerBi but still does not function corretly. Wish is would work because your tutorial is amazing. If you figure out how to make lat and long input work would love to see that tutorial!
I notice this too what I did was when you insert the table in power bi you need to change those lat/long values in lat/long but it didnt solve the problem, I would assume maybe rounding the lat/long values would solve the issue?
Thank you ! Very informative. My requirement needs multiple locations which are in the same excel row, to be mapped as row. Can you pls provide some inputs ?
Great tutorial, but I have an issue. My data set only lists countries and not cities. So when I place the origin and destination countries in the origin and destination fields of the Flow Map custom visual, there are no results. Am I the only one with this issue? What should I do?
I have the same issue while doing some real-time analysis, I need to do the origin of destination and end of destination using longitude and latitude so having some issues, How can I resolve this issue? Same kind of query is in my head
Hello!! thank you very much for the video has been very helpful, do you know how can we pull the list of cities that were unlocatable and how to fix them? thanks!
Great tutorial, I just finished my first flow map. I want to take it to the next level and show multiple locations for the same flight (for example a flight that goes from NY to London to Paris) is that feasible ?
Great Visual and great tutorial!! Is it possible to mark (in a different way, i.e. bubble and X) both origin and destination in the same map? thanks a lot
great. dear, i'm facing an issue i've never seen reported yet but i'm pretty sure you know how to deal with it.. imagine you didnt filter london. all circuits appearing.. but the more dense cities are covering the less dense ones... how can you switch the order and turn less dense to the top? :)
Wow great tutorial and flow map visual! I have one issue of not being able to select individual colors for each of the 'airlines' in your example... My visualization tool only has the option for a single color. Any idea why this may be? Thanks!
this issue has been fixed in the latest version (1.4.9). You can download it here github.com/weiweicui/PowerBI-Flowmap/blob/master/dist/flowmap.1.4.9.pbiviz
Great video as usual. For me (customer) the issue with this Visualization is not a Power BI visual certified. Do you know if there is any certified visual that has this flow option ?
There isn't. Most map visuals cannot be certified by microsoft because they need to access the internet to search the locations and plot the points on the map. One of the criteria for certified visuals is that they are not allowed to access external sources.
Wow really great visual !! I have issue with the Cities though. I have a logistics company in USA and let's take for example the city Toledo. When I plug in the Destination Cities instead of showing me the city Toledo from Ohio it shows me Toledo from Spain. How can I fix it to select the Cities from USA and not somewhere else. Thanks for the information!
there are different tools you can use to get the lat and lon data for locations. you could for example check this one out gsuite.google.com/u/0/marketplace/app/geocode_by_awesome_table/904124517349?hl=en&pann=sheets_addon_widget
Hi, I'm having trouble when exporting this file. I tried to export this file into pdf or power point version but the maps does not showed up when using the additional flow map. Any idea why this may be? Thank you!
Two common issues this tutorial didn't cover. 1) You somehow can't just use the latitude and longitude data without putting in the origin/destination fields. Not sure what the point is of having the lat/long options. 2) Postcodes and cities being used in the single origin/destination fields overlap with other countries and from what I researched there's no way to limit to one country
something I did to adjust for 2nd issue when I was working with baywheel dataset is I concat the address with the city name, you could do something similar where you concat cities with countries that way you wont have overlap.
Great video! Thank you so much!

How can I use start latitude and longitude along with end latitude and longitude?

Hi Bas. Is it possible to click in a route and update the results of an accompanying table?
Amazing dashboard!! i love airline analysis, have you another dashboard for airlines or some courses about it?. Thanks for your time!!

Is it possible to visualise a multi-hop flight? ie London to Dubai to Melbourne?
What about transit hub ? For example LHR - DXB- SYD? Any option?
wonderful BAS, thanks a lot

Thx a lot Justin! 🙂under color make sure you have Specify individually turned on. Then turn on Autofill.
Why it doesn't show borders? And big white areas? Map is amazing but doesn't look good without colors. Is there any way how to fix it?

Thank you, my map looks nice again 😌
VERY GOOD Thanks very much!

Creat radius circle from centre point or specific latitude and longitude in power BI

have a look here ua-cam.com/video/7ZCrCEicVNY/v-deo.html :) should answer this question
@@HowtoPowerBI You are amazing mate !! This is what I was looking for 👌🏼
@@yeraldo05 awesome! :)
Great tutorial, thanks!
where did you get the latitude and longtitude?

why not showing how it looks with logitude and latitude? it's pretty hard to make this piece marvel to to work with those :)
The Flow Map hasnt been updated in over a year. I don't think it works anymore with the updates that have been pushed.
Do you know why is not possible to Specify Individually the color for measures ?
I believe you can, see @5:43
What if I have longitude and longitude of origin and destination
Hi, I'm having trouble when exporting this file. I tried to export this file into pdf or power point version but the maps does not showed up when using the additional flow map. Any idea why this may be? Thank you!
I think this visual doesn't support exporting like that because it is not certified
is it possible adding custom tooltips in flow maps, to get the popup effects
This visual does not support custom tooltips :(
How did you calculate 'No of Flight Routes'?
No of Flight Routes = COUNTROWS(flight_routes)
each row in the table here is a flight route, so you can just use countrows (or count)
In map location i have issues when i select state city or postal anything else nothing show in map please suggest proper method
maybe you need to increase the limit of flows (go to format, visual style, limit).
Hey Bas, is there any way we can add nodes for both source and destination? Meaning, bubble for showing both source and destination
No, that setting is unavailable in the newest update.
Amazing video. Thank you. I have some questions. Can I contact you by email or somehow please
hi Carissa, the email address is in the vid description
Tk u.. I was subscribe
thank you!
I want the dataset can you plz share it with us ?
the file is in the download link, which you can find in the description section 🙂
how to get latitude and longitude data?
ua-cam.com/video/xBF_ZaGW87k/v-deo.html
Use a map where it actually enriches the information, not for instance for sales per country or something like that
Thanks for the feedback
my boss will see this and complaint it is too difficult to read anything from it
