Hey guys, this is Evan, formerly of Vanna. The guys are doing what feels right to them. They are happy with the music they are putting out and that's really all that truly matters. We may not be friends anymore, but I wish them the best and hope one day we will all be cool again. Also, none of the albums we wrote and recorded were autotuned. I was always very adamant about that. Don't say stuff like that when you have no idea what you're talking about aotwtelevision
This is one of those situations where I don't see this as Vanna anymore, where is chris? where is evan? Curses is one of my favorite albums of all time, that is a perfect album, I want that Vanna back
the emotions of the old songs from the EP starting to NEW Hope ATDCBB they are the vanna, the last album without Evan obvious that have changed, but some songs like please stay like this and are nice, however there are always nick shawn and david.
Of course this is Vanna. Yeah, they don't sound the same. But still, the energy, the feeling, this can only come from Vanna. It sounds awesome, guys! Congratulations!
man there last three albums the few and the far between, void, all hell has been great for new vanna and there still the best either way even if it was the original band then they would of been twice is to kick butt on stage
don't understand you guys ... i can recognize nearly anything that made vanna an awesome band! of course they changed some members which is sad because i like the old ones a lot! but i'd rather describe it as a progress to something different. and i think it's great :-)
There's one member of the original band left here, Vanna is a hometown band from the Boston hardcore scene, though there from Worcester. To me its not the same.
I've never gotten into the "old" Vanna, so could someone direct some songs my way that have the old vocalist cause I'm really digging this, they're really not generic it surprises me that there is good metalcore left these days hahaha.
Change happened in 2010 after A New Hope. This is just a continuation of that change. A little more hardcore and generic. I still love Vanna and can't wait for the new album.
We ate the horse you rode in on, safe to say, the things he carried, same graceful wind, like changing seasons, white light, into hells mouth we marched, a dead language for a dying lady just to name a few off of the top of my head. They are all good, this new stuff is not bad; but it doesn't sound like the Vanna that I have loved for years. Check out Wind in Sails, it's Evan's solo project. It's better than "Year of the Rat." That's for damn sure lol
This fuckin rocks! Vanna rules, I hate haters, in any case. So if u don't like it just move on and shut up, because if u like this kinda metal there is no reason not to like this, its pretty boss.
u guys shud be friends again u know u wanted to become a band which means u are cool and woudnt split apart just cuz one of u stole a lollipop or something u guys shud get this problem fixed we want the old vanna back
I agree, I would be happy if they changed the name and continued as a band, maybe then I'd be able to get into it, because I read Vanna and its just like, but this isnt Vanna. I also agree, the new version of it was bad. Its sad
Metal? This isn't metal. This is Postcore. Also it's not that anyone really hates Vanna, they hate what it's become. This isn't Vanna anymore. There is one original member, it's all over. Don't think I'm hating on them either, these guys have been friends of mine for a few years now. It's just not the same anymore.
no there is two original members, Nick is the obvious one, the other is Shawn. how is it that anyone that lives near them doesn't know this. seriously? and of course they don't sound the same because it's a slight style change, they still shouldn't change their name because of that. underoath had no original members when they recorded their last album, they didn't change their name and toured for a little longer to before they broke up
I don't like this either, but what happened was everyone in the band left. No Chris, and no Evan, which is what really killed it for me. If anyone still likes them good for you, but it's hard to listen to this and say it's Vanna. It sucks to say, but it's the cold hard truth.
I just listened to this song for the first time and i'm disappointed. I've been a Vanna fan for a long time, i was at the New Hope Release show at the Worchester Palladium and at Rockos alot when they played there every weekend to get noticed. You can say what you want about the music now, but i was there when they were getting started and this is a totally new band, one that's sounds too much like everytime i die. Someone else said they should have changed the name, i agree.
no they shouldn't despite all the changes, i live in sc and personally can't say i've been near them or seen them when they were getting noticed but they're still a good band. and ehh, they don't really sound a whole lot like etid, this sounds more less like atcbb but heavier and still a bit of an influence by the chariot
you know guys it's not like shawn is the original bass player or anything but i guess nick is the only original member since none of you want to look up band history and saying this isn't the same band anymore is a joke. it's a slight style change and that's all, they've done with all their albums really. curses, anh, atcbb, and the few and the far between when it's out. get over it, bands do this sometimes, davey was a good replacement for chris and joel is great live, they're still a good band
Davey has been in Vanna since 2009, he's new?, nah, he's good, safe to say may have been their best record, in most of vanna's opinions, but that doesnt mean there wont be another album as good as it, also Joel said STS sucks.... and then you start talking about if J has ever screamed and had complete control over the tone and pitch... where did that come from? id like to see you scream, do it man, its not that hard :3
you could have stopped listening to them back when they released their EP The Honest Hearts..... plus nobody gives a fuck what you have to say once you start hating on a band on youtube.
You don't seem to agree with my opinion either, and nowhere did I say I could do better. I can still judge a band's music. Isn't that our purpose as the audience?
This is still very much Vanna. Change happens. A New Hope was an awesome album, however, it was pretty generic. Since Davey joined, the band has become a lot more honest with their lyrics, and their sound has become heavier and more distinctly their own. People have their own taste, and I respect that some people may not like this, but I personally think this a natural step forward for the band, and I am so stoked for the new album.
Just like with other bands and their new stuff on UA-cam, I have yet to actually see a 'bitchy' comment, just the comments telling people to stop being bitchy.
I just wish they would have changed their name when evan left. I feel the same way like this isnt the vanna i know. In all honesty they completely trashed the new version of dying language.
saw these guys on wednesday, they were amazing, except the guy who sang harmony sounded terrible, unlike the old singer. Don't know why they chose him to be the replacement.

This song is even better live... seeing them the other night was fucking awesome.
Saw them at warped tour. I went nuts all set they were so good. This and piss up a rope were incredible
this is one kick ass band, they need more recognition
Saw these guys Sunday! Love them :)
See Vanna, State Champs, A Sight For Sewn Eyes, and more in Howell, NJ at GameChangerWorld on Thursday, December 19th!
This is one of those situations where I don't see this as Vanna anymore, where is chris? where is evan? Curses is one of my favorite albums of all time, that is a perfect album, I want that Vanna back

Yes.
This is good but A New Hope will always be the greatest thing these guys have and will ever put out.
honestly just stumbled on to this band and i think both "groups" are equally fucking awesome.
Holy fuck those vocals. Im in love
Love it. Gonna be a sick new album!
amazing stuff
Very awesome, like the direction they're taking
You have to breathe to be alive 🔥
Of course this is Vanna. Yeah, they don't sound the same. But still, the energy, the feeling, this can only come from Vanna. It sounds awesome, guys! Congratulations!
Got to meet Davey Muise! what an absolutely amazing and inspiring guy :)
Love the energy through the song, pretty sick work boys!
This is way better than the old stuff. They've earned a spot in my phone. haha
Even though they state the obvious in this song, its such a good tune.
This song rips harder than most.
Still an amazing band
IM going to cd realease in boston.
Olddddd vanna kicks the shit out of this.
I loved you guus when you went to warped tour in 2012 Milwaukee Wisconsin you fucking rocked glad I got to see you
YOU HAVE TO BREATHE TO BE ALIVE
man there last three albums the few and the far between, void, all hell has been great for new vanna and there still the best either way even if it was the original band then they would of been twice is to kick butt on stage
Sounds a lot like my favorite band, Sworn In so I really like these guys :)
don't understand you guys ... i can recognize nearly anything that made vanna an awesome band! of course they changed some members which is sad because i like the old ones a lot! but i'd rather describe it as a progress to something different. and i think it's great :-)

It's the year of the rat
I've never gotten into the "old" Vanna, so could someone direct some songs my way that have the old vocalist cause I'm really digging this, they're really not generic it surprises me that there is good metalcore left these days hahaha.
They remind me of Glass Cloud!
but if you hate haters doesn't that make you a hater :/... keeps me up at night man
agreed.
Why haven't I bought this album yet?
Different, but the good kind of different.
Change happened in 2010 after A New Hope. This is just a continuation of that change. A little more hardcore and generic. I still love Vanna and can't wait for the new album.

This is gonna take some getting used to, I'm so used to Evan's perfect cleans
This fuckin rocks! Vanna rules, I hate haters, in any case. So if u don't like it just move on and shut up, because if u like this kinda metal there is no reason not to like this, its pretty boss.
u guys shud be friends again u know u wanted to become a band which means u are cool and woudnt split apart just cuz one of u stole a lollipop or something u guys shud get this problem fixed we want the old vanna back
in my opinion, this is much better than And They came baring bones
I agree, I would be happy if they changed the name and continued as a band, maybe then I'd be able to get into it, because I read Vanna and its just like, but this isnt Vanna. I also agree, the new version of it was bad. Its sad
Everyone's a critic.

Lol they still kick ass ok.
They were here before sworn In. Sooo..
oh... 27

Probably the only song with Davey that I enjoy.
safe to say isnt an album what are you even talking about....
Safe to Say sucks. That is the epitome of cookie cutter post-hardcore. I find this much better.
you could have stopped listening to them back when they released their EP The Honest Hearts..... plus nobody gives a fuck what you have to say once you start hating on a band on youtube.
Big reason I listened to Vanna was for the really beautiful cleans. New cleans aren't terrible, but in comparison... geez.
dude they are not the same with out you.. still good, but not the same
You don't seem to agree with my opinion either, and nowhere did I say I could do better. I can still judge a band's music. Isn't that our purpose as the audience?

not a fan of the style of cleans going on here but great song
so ... is the singer only 22. cause he looks like 30. they all do hahah
Yes it is an oxymoron I know but I mean music haters, usually if its something I don't like I just move on, instead of pissing people off.
I actually didn't like ATCBB. This is already a step up for sure.
Just like with other bands and their new stuff on UA-cam, I have yet to actually see a 'bitchy' comment, just the comments telling people to stop being bitchy.
i disagree i think new hope was the best album by farrrrr
Curses was fucking gross.
Is not bad at all, but without Evan...
old vanna is weak, songs about girls and shit. waaah. this is great. davey is a great writer and this band does nothing but improve
I just wish they would have changed their name when evan left. I feel the same way like this isnt the vanna i know. In all honesty they completely trashed the new version of dying language.
saw these guys on wednesday, they were amazing, except the guy who sang harmony sounded terrible, unlike the old singer. Don't know why they chose him to be the replacement.
old vanna is not like this, its awful autotune clean chorus pop hardcore.
Garbage, ill wait for the world to end, or a real vanna reunion. What ever may come first.
this sucks. What happened to this band? Listen to Safe to Say and then listen to this... this is just awful. Vanna why? you were so good.
i dont care if bands change. i just think this sounds generic and boring
Curses was the best album these guys put out. A new hope was garbage.
