I had my first tandem yesterday for my 18th I unfortunately was there by myself due to my friend canceling but once I met with my instructor and we got into the plane it’s like we were friends I also have mobility issues and without skipping a beat he accommodated me we did a sliding land and he helped me slide towards the door of the plane. He also gave me in air play by play and even let me control the parachute and do some spins. I’m a college student so money is tight but I plan on doing AFF and doing solo as a hobby
Beautiful! I start my class in January here in TX (if the weather holds up) I’m anxious but so excited. After 3 jumps behind me I’m ready to go for it. I want it more than anything!
just got back from my jump .two barrel rolls and two back flips' .everything went good. i got signed off for solo. my instructor had me exit a little diff which helped a lot. we were using a 208 caravan. he had me grab the bar in the plane get as much of my body out of the plane as possible. my right foot right by the exit and my left foot hanging out . this made for a vey stable exit .stable in less 200 n feet is what he said...peace out
dude yr exits r prefect mine r hit and miss im E1 AFF i just did front flips last week. tomorrow 8-14-2021 will be barrel rolls and back flip. great vid..peace out
I’m on Level 3, but have been around the sport for a cpl years. I repeated level 1 twice an level 2 as well followed by tunnel time. I’m not qualified to answer but from MY experience? Please take it one level at a time , one breath at a time. Important to relax and have fun 🤟. Blue skies 👌
@@MasonMayeux thats kinda weird if you’ve been around the sport for years but still on level 3? Cause the skydive centre where i learned, we did 1 tot 3 on the first day, 4 tot 6 on the second and 7 + first solo on the third, (I did pass the aff, it was so much fun! Im onto jump 19, gotta get to 25 so i can do the next course to learn to jump with others. With the aff ive learned a few different exits, backroll, frontroll, barrelroll, 360, backflying, and delta. Which are all fun to do! But to get back to my intital question i’ve already started trying to sit fly myself haha i cant sit up properly straight cause i fall onto my back but i can somewhat get into the position

@@MasonMayeux just followed ya, @laird_k_thomas I’ve been to your DZ a couple of times to watch and we’re hoping to move out that way from the Raleigh area 🤘🏼😎

Why did your friend leave you hanging?
Sounds like your friend missed out on one of the greatest experiences possible in life.

Anxiety makes it that much more rewarding, chase it my guy!
There is nothing I did not like about that jump.
That is a PASS from Coach Rick.
Now on to your A license.I have a similar EG suit...love it.
as i said everywhere
I appreciate it Rick! Love the floral, feels like I’m jumping in the 90’s 😂

Such an excellent video. Wish you took it to the ground!
I appreciate it man! Unfortunately my instructor cut his camera off on this one.
beautiful brother!!

starting the AFF course this weekend :) very excited! also quick q: when is it appropriate for someone to start learning how to sit fly ?
You’re in for a treat. I’m not a qualified coach (yet), most definitely check with one at your DZ before trying anything new! Be safe and Blue Skies 🤙

That was really great for your AFF jumps! I've done over 50 jumps now, and my flips still ain't that smooth lol!
I appreciate you! I’ve done a decent amount of diving so that probably helped with it feeling (somewhat) natural.
Wowzer
🤙
I wonder if a skydiver could have the lift necessary to do an actual barrel roll. Maybe with a wingsuit.
Dude if was this guy I would have been dead before jumping
Don’t count yourself out! You should give it a try and do a tandem, the more fearful you are the better the experience.
Oo okay
Legend 🔥🔥

this is one of the reasons i might choose to be a paratrooper instead of an aviator when i join the military
Can’t go wrong either way, if it were me I’d go let the military pay for my pilot license, then do civilian skydiving.
i want to go skydiving but i am to young. its been a thing ive wanted to do since i was like 4 years old.
I was in the same boat. As soon as you turn 18 head to your nearest drop zone and send it on a tandem!
